Description

The present invention relates to a waterproof structure suitable for application to equipment used outdoors such as a cultivator and a combine display (for example, a speedometer).

Conventionally, since this type of display 1 is assumed to be used outdoors, as shown in FIG. 12, a waterproof packing or the like is provided on the fitting surface between the back cover 3 and the panel 2 in order to improve the waterproof performance. A technique for providing a waterproof elastic member 5 (hereinafter referred to as known technique 1) has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

In the known technique 1, as shown in FIG. 13, after the waterproof elastic member 5 is stored in the groove 32 of the back cover 3, the panel 2 is fitted to the back cover 3 and assembled as shown in FIG. Therefore, the waterproofing elastic member 5 prevents water from entering the inside of the display 1 from the outside to the inside.
Utility Sho 62-40521

However, in the known technique 1, as shown in FIG. 12, a waterproof elastic member having a string shape wider than the width of the groove portion 32 is used, and it is press-fitted and held in the groove portion 32. For this reason, there is a problem that the fixing workability of the packing is poor. Conventionally, in order to avoid an increase in the cost of parts, a fixed packing 5 is used. Therefore, when the packing 5 is short, a gap is formed between the end of the groove 32 and the end of the packing 5. When used in such a state, the waterproof property is lowered, and the replacement of the packing 5 requires the replacement of internal parts and the like protected by the waterproof structure, resulting in an increase in cost. In addition, when the packing 5 is long, there is a problem that workability is poor because the dimensions must be taken out and the end portions must be cut once.

In view of such circumstances, an object of the present invention is to provide a waterproof structure capable of solving such problems.

In the waterproof structure of the present invention, in the device in which the first housing and the second housing are fitted, a groove is provided around one of the first and second housings, and a waterproof elastic member is provided in the groove. Is formed in each of both end portions of the groove portion so as to be integrated with the groove portion, and both end portions of the waterproof elastic member are formed in these recess portions. And the other of the first and second housings is provided with a convex wall portion for holding the waterproof elastic member housed in the groove portion, extending to the concave portion, and The width of the convex wall portion is substantially the same as the gap of the concave portion.
Further, both ends of the groove, also is formed so as to sandwich the structure of the connector inserting portion communicating with the inside, the recess, hourglass shape, or may be on both sides serrated or one serrated.

According to the present invention, in an instrument (such as a display) in which a first housing (such as a back cover) and a second housing (such as a panel) are fitted, an inexpensive string-like waterproof elastic member is used. It is possible to provide a waterproof structure with improved mounting workability.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

First Embodiment>

As shown in FIG. 1, the display (instrument) 1 includes a back cover (first housing) 3 made of a synthetic resin (polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.) and a synthetic resin (polyethylene, polypropylene) fitted into the back cover 3. Etc.), a panel (second housing) 2, a back cover 3, and a waterproof elastic member 5 made of synthetic rubber interposed between the panels 2. Here, although shown in an exploded perspective view, the display (device) 1 is attached to a desired place, generally an inclined surface, so that connector cover pieces 25 and 35 described later are on the lower side.

Here, as shown in FIG. 1, the back cover 3 has a rectangular plate-like substrate 31, and stiffening ribs 39 are formed on the inner surface of the substrate 31 in a lattice shape. A connector cover piece 35 is formed on the side surface of the substrate 31, and bosses 36 to which screws 7 can be screwed are provided at four corners of the substrate 31. Inside the bosses 36 at the corners, a groove portion 32 is provided along the outer edge of the substrate 31, and both end portions 32a of the groove portion 32 are positioned so as to sandwich the connector cover piece 35 from both sides. In addition, U-shaped groove-shaped recesses 37 are formed in both end portions 32a of the groove portion 32, respectively. Here, the waterproof elastic member 5 having a circular cross section is accommodated in the groove 32, and both ends of the waterproof elastic member 5 are sandwiched between the recesses 37 as shown in FIG. 6.

On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 1, the panel 2 has a case-like main body 21 that is divided into two parts in the vertical direction. A rectangular display window 22 is formed in the main body 21, and a transparent cover 23 is fitted to the display window 22. A connector cover piece 25 is formed on the side surface of the main body 21, and screw insertion holes 26 through which the screws 7 can be inserted correspond to the bosses 36 of the back cover 3 at the four corners of the main body 21. And is drilled through. Further, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a convex wall portion 27 extends to the concave portion 37 of the back cover 3 so as to face the groove portion 32 of the back cover 3 on the back surface of the main body 21. Yes.

Since the display device 1 has the above-described configuration, when the display device 1 is assembled, the following procedure is performed.

First, as shown in FIG. 3, the waterproof elastic member 5 is sandwiched in one concave portion 37 of the groove portion 32 of the back cover 3. The waterproof elastic member 5 at that time does not need to be cut to a fixed length unlike the prior art, and a long member wound around a reel or the like can be used.

After that, as shown in FIG. 4, the waterproof elastic member 5 is sequentially accommodated in the groove 32 and sandwiched in the other recess 37. At this time, since the waterproof elastic member 5 has a circular cross section and has a concave portion 37 U-shaped groove (that is, the bottom portion is semicircular), the waterproof elastic member 5 is tightly sandwiched between the concave portions 37 without a gap. It becomes a state.

Next, as shown in FIG. 5, the panel 2 is fitted to the back cover 3, and as shown in FIG. 1, the four screws 7 are inserted into the screw insertion holes 26 of the panel 2 to 36 is screwed. Then, the panel 2 and the back cover 3 are assembled, and the connector cover piece 25 of the panel 2 and the connector cover piece 35 of the back cover 3 are combined to form an oval connector insertion portion 6. At this time, with the fitting of the back cover 3 and the panel 2, as shown in FIG. 2, the convex wall 27 pushes the waterproof elastic member 5 downward, that is, toward the groove 32. Therefore, most of the waterproof elastic member 5 is in a state where it is securely stored in the groove 32. Moreover, since the convex wall portion 27 extends to the concave portion 37 of the back cover 3, both ends of the waterproof elastic member 5 are securely sandwiched by the concave portion 37, and then follow the shape of the concave portion 37. It will be elastically deformed and the recess 37 will be closed.

Finally, as shown in FIG. 6, the tip end protruding portion 5a of the waterproof elastic member 5 is cut off.

Here, the assembly work of the display 1 is completed.

In the display device 1 assembled in this way, since the waterproof elastic member 5 is interposed between the panel 2 and the back cover 3, the waterproof elastic member prevents water from entering the inside of the display device 1 from the outside. 5 can prevent. Further, since the back cover 3 is provided with the stiffening ribs 39, there is no fear that the waterproofness is lowered due to the back cover 3 being twisted to form a gap with the panel 2.

In addition, the waterproof elastic member 5 can be used as a long purchased lot instead of a part-shaped piece cut into a fixed size, and can be thinner than the width of the groove 32, and further cost reduction can be achieved.

The waterproof elastic member 5 has a protruding end portion 5a cut off. Therefore, even if both ends of the waterproof elastic member 5 are sandwiched between the recesses 37, the waterproof elastic member 5 becomes an obstacle when the display 1 is used. There is no fear that the display 1 will look bad. Moreover, since the long waterproofing elastic member 5 can be used, it is not as short as in the case of the standard size. Therefore, the waterproof property is not lowered and the cost is not increased. Furthermore, if the gap between the concave portions 37 is made smaller than the outer diameter of the waterproof elastic member 5, the waterproof elastic member 5 is sandwiched between the convex wall portion 27 and the concave portion 37, so that the waterproof property is improved. If the outer diameter of the waterproof elastic member 5 is smaller than the dimension of the groove 32 (having a smaller diameter than the conventional one), the material cost can be reduced. In general, the dimension of the groove portion 32 has a limitation that it cannot be made too small from the viewpoint of the strength of the mold for molding the back cover 3, and as a result, it is not practical to make the waterproof elastic member 5 thinner. However, according to the present embodiment, it can be easily realized for the reason described above.

<Second to sixth embodiments>
FIG. 7 is a front view showing a V-shaped groove-shaped recess in the second embodiment of the waterproof structure according to the present invention, and FIG. 8 shows a dovetail-shaped recess in the third embodiment of the waterproof structure according to the present invention. FIG. 9 is a front view showing a drum-shaped recess in the fourth embodiment of the waterproof structure according to the present invention, and FIG. 10 shows a sawtooth-shaped recess on both sides in the fifth embodiment of the waterproof structure according to the present invention. FIG. 11 is a front view showing a one-side serrated concave portion in the sixth embodiment of the waterproof structure according to the present invention.

In 1st Embodiment mentioned above, although the case where the U-shaped groove-shaped recessed part 37 was formed in the both ends 32a of the groove part 32 of the back cover 3 was demonstrated, the shape of the recessed part 37 is restricted to a U-shaped groove shape. Do not mean. For example, as shown in FIG. 7, a V-shaped groove-shaped concave portion 37 may be employed, or as shown in FIG. Good. Further, as shown in FIG. 9, a drum-shaped concave portion 37 may be adopted, or as shown in FIG. 10, a double-side serrated concave portion 37 may be used. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 11, a one-side serrated recess 37 may be employed. Here, when the recessed part 37 is a drum shape, a both-side serrated shape, or a single-side serrated shape, there exists an advantage that the waterproof elastic member 5 is easy to pinch | interpose and it is hard to remove | deviate. In addition, if the cross-sectional shape of the waterproof elastic member 5 is appropriately changed according to the shape of the concave portion 37, the waterproof elastic member 5 can be tightly inserted into the concave portion 37 without a gap.

<Other embodiments>
In the first embodiment described above, the case where the groove portion 32 is provided around the back cover 3 and the convex wall portion 27 is provided on the panel 2 has been described, but conversely, the groove portion 32 is provided around the panel 2. In addition, the back cover 3 may be provided with a convex wall portion 27. That is, the groove 32 may be provided around one of the back cover 3 and the panel 2 and the convex wall 27 may be provided on the other of the back cover 3 and the panel 2. In the first embodiment, both end portions of the waterproof elastic member 5 are securely sandwiched by the concave wall 37 by the convex wall portion 27 and then deformed elastically along the shape of the concave portion 37. 37 is closed, but by appropriately selecting the width of the waterproof elastic member 5, the groove 32 and the outside are in communication with each other between the waterproof elastic member 5, the concave portion 37 and the convex wall portion 27. A gap can be formed. As described above, the display device 1 is installed so that the connector cover pieces 25 and 35 are on the lower side, that is, the concave portion 37 and the convex wall portion 27 are on the lower side. It can be discharged from the gap.

In 1st Embodiment mentioned above, although the indicator 1 with which the panel 2 fits the back cover 3 was demonstrated, the indicator 1 with which housings (for example, cases etc.) other than the back cover 3 and the panel 2 fit. The present invention can also be applied to. Furthermore, the present invention can be applied to devices other than the display device 1 (for example, an electric wire connection box, a switch box, etc.).

The present invention can be widely applied to various industrial fields such as automobiles, airplanes, trains, manufacturing plants, electrical appliances, and OA equipment.
