Claims (4)
- 高エネルギ流体を輸送するパイプラインの管軸方向の延性破壊伝播をアレストするためのアレスタであって、
該アレスタは、延性破壊伝播を受けたとき、十分に変形するような材料で形成され、
前記アレスタの厚さと前記アレスタのフープ強度との積が、前記パイプの厚さと前記パイプの終局強度との積の2倍を超えず、
前記アレスタの最低限の延性は、前記亀裂の長さが前記アレスタの必要最小長さの2倍に達したとき、前記延性破壊伝搬の先端部角度である材料の亀裂先端開口角(CTOA)に適合することができるように定められたことにより、
前記延性破壊伝播は少なくとも前記アレスタの内側へ入り込むが、前記パイプラインのリングオフを生じることなく前記伝播を停止するようにされたことを特徴とするアレスタ。 - 前記アレスタが、1つ或いは複数の鋼又は繊維強化複合材料から形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアレスタ。
- 高エネルギ流体を輸送するパイプラインの管軸方向の延性破壊伝播をアレストするための方法であって、
前記パイプラインの外周の周囲にアレスタを配置するステップを含み、
前記アレスタは、延性破壊伝播を受けたとき、十分に変形するような材料で作られており、
前記アレスタの厚さと前記アレスタのフープ強度との積が、前記パイプの厚さと前記パイプの終局強度との積の2倍を超えず、
前記アレスタの最低限の延性は、前記亀裂の長さが前記アレスタの必要最小長さの2倍に達したとき、前記延性破壊伝搬の先端部角度である材料の亀裂先端開口角(CTOA)に適合することができるように定められたことにより、
前記延性破壊伝播は少なくともアレスタの内側へ入り込むが、前記パイプラインのリングオフを生じることなく前記伝播を停止するようにされたことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記アレスタが、1つ或いは複数の鋼又は繊維強化複合材料から形成されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の方法。
