インクジェットプリンタ(エプソン社製PM790-TM)を用いて上記インクジェットプリンタ用紙の裏面に「RICOH」という文字を印字した。このインクジェットプリンタ用紙上の発色/消色層の厚さは1μmであった。RICOHと印刷された裏面に光源としてブラックライト(紫外光源)を照射し、文字が明確に認識できる事を確認し、遮光部材で作成したケースに封入し一日放置した。一日放置後上記インクジェットプリンタ用紙を取り出し裏面に印刷された文字がはっきり認識でき、図1に示すように、表裏の区別が出来る事を確認した。
さらにその裏面に蛍光灯700lx(700ルクス)下の光線を2時間照射したところ、図1に示すように、裏面の文字が無色透明になっている事を確認した。
