WANおよびLANを介したIP電話の発着信制御をする呼制御サーバと連動し、
前記呼制御サーバを介して発信または着信があった時に前記呼制御サーバまたは相手端末から通知される当該発信または着信の相手端末のIPアドレスを当該相手端末の電話番号と関連付けて蓄積するIPアドレス蓄積手段と、前記呼制御サーバを介さないで相手端末のIPアドレスにより相手端末へ直接発信するIPアドレス直接発信制御手段と、前記呼制御サーバの異常を監視する呼制御サーバ監視手段を有するIP電話端末であって、
相手端末の電話番号を指定して前記呼制御サーバへ発信要求した際、前記呼制御サーバ監視手段が前記呼制御サーバの異常を検知したならば、前記IPアドレス直接発信制御手段は、前記IPアドレス蓄積手段に蓄積されている前記電話番号に対応した相手端末のIPアドレスを検索し、前記検索したIPアドレスで直接発信し、
前記IPアドレス蓄積手段に前記電話番号に対応するIPアドレス情報が存在しない場合、前記電話番号に対応するIPアドレスを、自己の発着信履歴から所定のルールに従って決定した他端末に前記電話番号に対応するIPアドレス情報を問い合わせ、前記問い合わせた他端末に前記電話番号に対応するIPアドレス情報がない場合には前記自己の発着信履歴から所定のルールに従って次の問い合わせ先候補を決定し、前記決定した他端末に対してIPアドレスに係る情報を問い合わせるIPアドレス問い合わせ手段と、他端末から電話番号に対応するIPアドレスの問い合わせを受けた場合、前記IPアドレス蓄積手段に蓄積された中に当該電話番号に対応するIPアドレスがあったならば前記IPアドレスを前記他端末へ返信するIPアドレス返信手段とをさらに有することを特徴とするIP電話端末。
