Claims (12)
- 組織内を延在する穿刺を止血する装置であって、
近位端と遠位端との間の長さ方向の軸を規定する近位端および遠位端と、前記近位端と遠位端との間に延在する内腔とを具える細長部材と、
前記細長部材の遠位端に担持された拡張可能な部材と、
前記細長部材の近位端に設けられたハウジングであって、前記細長部材の内腔に連通するインテリアを具えるハウジングと、
十分な流体が前記インテリアに送出され、前記拡張可能な部材が所定の拡張状態まで拡張したことを知らせるフィードバックを提供する前記ハウジングに設けた圧力インジケータであって、前記ハウジングのインテリア内を遠位位置から近位位置まで摺動可能なピストンを具え、十分な流体が前記ハウジングのインテリアに送出されて前記拡張可能な部材が前記所定の拡張状態に拡張したときに、前記ピストンに設けられた視覚的なインジケータが、前記ハウジングから突出して可視となる圧力インジケータと、
所定の圧力を超えたときに、前記ハウジングのインテリアから流体を自動的に逃がすことができる圧力除去機構であって、前記ピストンが近位位置と遠位位置との間を移動するときに、前記ハウジングのインテリアから実質的に遮断される排出ポートを前記ハウジングに具え、前記ピストンが前記近位位置を超えて移動したときに前記排出ポートが前記ハウジングのインテリアと連通して、前記ハウジングのインテリアから流体を逃がすことができる圧力除去機構と、
前記ピストンに接続されて前記拡張可能な部材の遠位位置まで延在する接続部材とを具え、前記ピストンが前記遠位位置から前記近位位置まで移動するときに、前記接続部材が近位方向に移動して、それにより前記拡張可能な部材の遠位端が近位方向に移動して、前記拡張可能な部材が拡張した状態で縮められることを特徴とする装置。 - 組織内を延在する穿刺を止血する装置であって、

前記ピストンが近位位置と遠位位置との間を移動するときに、前記ハウジングのインテリアから実質的に遮断される排出ポートを前記ハウジングに具え、前記ピストンが前記近位位置を超えて移動したときに前記排出ポートが前記ハウジングのインテリアに連通し、それにより、所定の圧力を超えたときに、前記ハウジングのインテリアから流体を逃がすことができる圧力除去機構と、
前記ピストンに接続されて前記拡張可能な部材の遠位位置まで延在する接続部材とを具え、前記ピストンが前記遠位位置から前記近位位置まで移動するときに、前記接続部材が近位方向に移動して、それにより前記拡張可能な部材の遠位端が近位方向に移動して、前記拡張可能な部材が拡張した状態で縮められることを特徴とする装置。 - 請求項1に記載の装置がさらに、バルブを境に異なる圧力を与えると、前記ハウジングのインテリアへのアクセスを可能にする一方向バルブを具えるバルブアセンブリを具えることを特徴とする装置。
- 請求項2または3に記載の装置において、前記バルブアセンブリがさらに、前記バルブをオーバーライドして開放する移動可能なプランジャを具え、前記ハウジングのインテリアへのアクセスを可能にすることを特徴とする装置。
- 請求項4に記載の装置がさらに、前記バルブをオーバーライドしない第1の位置と前記バルブをオーバーライドして開放する第2の位置との間で前記プランジャを移動させる、前記プランジャに連結されたアクチュエータを具え、本装置では、流体ポートが前記バルブを介して延在し、前記ハウジングのインテリアに通じていることを特徴とする装置。
- 請求項5に記載の装置において、前記アクチュエータは、前記ハウジングに対して内側に移動可能であり、前記プランジャを前記第1の位置から前記第2の位置まで移動させるとともに、前記アクチュエータが外側に付勢されており、前記アクチュエータが前記ハウジングに対して解放されたときに、前記プランジャが前記第1の位置に戻ることを特徴とする装置。
- 請求項5または6に記載の装置において、前記プランジャは、前記アクチュエータの作動および非作動に応じて、前記第1および第2の位置に交互に固定されることを特徴とする装置。
- 請求項2乃至7の何れか一項に記載の装置において、前記バルブはダックビルバルブであることを特徴とする装置。
- 請求項1乃至8の何れか一項に記載の装置において、前記ピストンが前記遠位位置に付勢されていることを特徴とする装置。
- 請求項1乃至9の何れか一項に記載の装置において、前記ピストンは遠位位置に付勢され、これにより、前記接続部材を遠位方向に付勢して前記拡張可能な部材に軸方向の張力を加え、これにより、収縮状態にある前記拡張可能な部材の外形を最小にすることを特徴とする装置。
