Description

The present invention relates to a pressure-sensitive transfer tape having a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer provided on a tape substrate.

In recent years, one type of double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape has a non-supported double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape that does not have a support (core material) and transfers only the adhesive layer to the adherend. Used in. As its structure, there are many rolls with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer provided on one side of a release liner or releasable substrate. It is marketed under names such as “tape glue”.

As such a transfer apparatus, Patent Document 1 discloses that a feeding reel around which a pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive tape is wound and an adhesive layer of the pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive tape supplied from the feeding reel are peeled off from a substrate to a transfer target. There is disclosed a transfer apparatus characterized in that a transfer head for transfer and a winding reel for winding a substrate remaining after transfer use are provided in a container body that can be held and used with one hand. Unlike liquid glue and solid glue, which are commonly used in paper bonding, such an apparatus can easily transfer the adhesive to the substrate without soiling your hands, eliminating the need for drying time before bonding. There is an advantage that the paper as the adherend does not wrinkle. In addition, since the adhesive layer can be cut by lifting the transfer tool vertically from the adherend or by paying it sideways after transferring the required length of the adhesive to the adherend, it is common to have a support. It is not necessary to cut the tape to the required length like a double-sided tape, and the peelable substrate after the adhesive layer has been transferred is wound around the reel in the transfer tool, so it is trashed during use. It is a very convenient bonding device that does not generate any problems

However, in such an apparatus, when cutting the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, the pressure-sensitive adhesive of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is continuously applied, so the pressure-sensitive adhesive stretches as if pulling a thread at the time of cutting and cannot be cut smoothly. There was a problem that the so-called “paste” was bad. In order to avoid this problem, conventionally, a method has been devised in which the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is patterned into fine dots or is arranged in blocks with large intervals. As the dot-like pattern, shapes such as a circle, a triangle, and a polygon are proposed, and as the block-like pattern, a quadrangular shape is proposed (see FIGS. 1 and 2). In these methods, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer having a round pattern has a drawback in that it occupies a smaller area with respect to the substrate than the rectangular pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and the adhesive strength is reduced. Therefore, if the interval between the round dots is narrowed in order to increase the area occupied by the adhesive layer of the round pattern on the base material, the dots come into contact with each other. Further, Patent Document 1 proposes to narrow the interval between dots in order to increase the area occupied by the adhesive layer of the dot-like pattern with respect to the base material. Thus, a pressure-sensitive transfer pressure-sensitive adhesive tape having a good tearability while maintaining a sufficient adhesive force is provided. In this method, a transfer failure of the adhesive at the beginning of transfer is required, and further improvement in tearing is demanded.

Therefore, the present inventor has examined the dot pattern of the rectangular adhesive layer, and as a result, when the square side of the adhesive layer as shown in FIG. 2 is parallel to the transfer direction, it can be seen in FIG. Compared to the dot pattern of such a round pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, the occupied area with respect to the substrate is easy to increase, but the contact side between the paste portion at the transfer end portion and the transferred object is large, and the paste is poor. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 3, when the square side of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is arranged so as to have an inclination of about 45 degrees with respect to the transfer direction, the occupied area with respect to the substrate is increased, and the pressure-sensitive adhesive The cutting at the end of the square of the layer is also improved. However, even with the arrangement as shown in FIG. 4, there is a problem that a transfer failure (poor transferability) at the beginning of transfer of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer occurs.

Furthermore, the present inventor has completed the present invention as a result of various studies to solve the above-described problems, and the object of the present invention is to provide a good adhesive transferability at the beginning of transfer while maintaining a sufficient adhesive force. And a pressure-sensitive transfer tape having the adhesive finish at the end of transfer.

The pressure-sensitive transfer tape of the present invention is a pressure-sensitive transfer tape having a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on a substrate, and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer comprises a plurality of square-shaped pressure-sensitive adhesive layers made of pressure-sensitive adhesive in an island pattern. Each side of the plurality of square-shaped pressure-sensitive adhesive layers is inclined by 40 to 50 degrees with respect to the transfer direction, and the corner of the tip of the square-shaped pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in the transfer direction is It is a pressure-sensitive transfer tape characterized by lacking.

In the pressure-sensitive transfer tape of the present invention, the proportion of the square-shaped pressure-sensitive adhesive layer lacking the tip corner in the transfer direction is bordered by the square diagonal line in the direction perpendicular to the transfer direction. Thus, the area ratio of the area of the triangle having the corner lacking the tip to the area of the other triangle not having the corner lacking the tip is preferably 70% or more and 95% or less.

In the pressure-sensitive transfer tape of the present invention, the quadrangular shape is preferably a quadrangular shape or an equilateral quadrangular shape that is symmetrical in the transfer direction.

Each side of the plurality of square-shaped pressure-sensitive adhesive layers is preferably 40 to 50 degrees, particularly preferably about 45 degrees with respect to the transfer direction, and the square-shaped pressure-sensitive adhesive The pressure-sensitive transfer tape is characterized in that a corner at the tip in the transfer direction of the layer is missing (see FIG. 3). In this way, a plurality of square-shaped pressure-sensitive adhesive layers are arranged on the base material in an island pattern, and each side of the plurality of square-shaped pressure-sensitive adhesive layers is inclined by about 45 degrees with respect to the transfer direction. As a result, the area occupied by the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer with respect to the substrate is increased, and the adhesive layer has good pressure-sensitive adhesive cut-off properties while maintaining a sufficient adhesive force. Moreover, since the corner | angular | corner of the front-end | tip of the transfer direction of a square-shaped adhesive layer is missing, it has favorable adhesive transfer property of the transfer start.

In the pressure-sensitive transfer tape of the present invention, the proportion of the square-shaped pressure-sensitive adhesive layer lacking the corner at the tip in the transfer direction is bordered by the square-shaped diagonal in the direction perpendicular to the transfer direction, It is preferable that the area ratio of the area of the triangle having the corner lacking the tip to the area of the other triangle not having the corner lacking the tip is 70% or more and 95% or less. In this range, particularly good adhesive transferability at the beginning of transfer can be obtained.

The shape of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in the present invention is not particularly limited as long as each side is inclined by about 45 degrees with respect to the transfer direction, but is a quadrangular shape or an equilateral quadrangular shape symmetrical to the transfer direction. A square shape and an equilateral rhombus shape are particularly preferable.

As the pressure-sensitive adhesive used for the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of the pressure-sensitive transfer tape in the present invention, any conventionally known pressure-sensitive adhesive can be used. Examples include acrylic, rubber-based, silicon-based, and rosin-based materials, and various additives such as fillers, preservatives, and colorants can be blended as necessary.

In addition, as the base material of the pressure-sensitive transfer tape in the present invention, any material can be used as long as it has a peeling effect on the adhesive. For example, plastic film such as polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, paper such as glassine paper, metal foil, etc., from one side or both sides as necessary to give a peeling effect from silicon resin or fluorine resin A release layer is provided. Generally, the thickness of the base material is suitably 10 to 60 μm (Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2).

As a method for forming a square-shaped pressure-sensitive adhesive layer lacking the corner at the tip in the transfer direction, any coating means such as silk screen, gravure, and ink jet can be used. For example, in the gravure method, it can be formed by previously filling the groove of the BRAVIA plate so as to correspond to a quadrangular shape in which the corner of the tip in the transfer direction is missing. Also, use a gravure groove with a square shape with no corners at the tip, and apply the adhesive at a coating speed faster than the optimum coating speed for applying a square shape with no corners at the tip. Thus, a square-shaped pressure-sensitive adhesive layer lacking the corner at the tip in the transfer direction can be formed.

The size of each of the plurality of square-shaped pressure-sensitive adhesive layers is usually 1 to 100 mm 2 , preferably 3 to 36 mm 2 , and the distance between adjacent islands is usually 0.1 to 4 mm, preferably 0.3 to 2. 0.5 mm (Patent Document 1). If the size of each island is 100 mm 2 or more, the degree of freedom in cutting the adhesive layer is lost, and if it is 1 mm 2 or less, the contact of the adhesive to the adherend is close to “point” instead of “surface”. Therefore, sufficient adhesive strength cannot be obtained. If the distance between adjacent islands is 4 mm or more, the effective pressure-sensitive adhesive area with respect to the adherend surface is reduced, and sufficient adhesive force cannot be obtained. Adhesive layers in adjacent compartments come into contact with each other due to the fluidity of the adhesive when the spacing is 0.1 mm or less, so it is difficult to apply the adhesive in the intended pattern on the substrate, and good wear resistance Cannot be obtained.

The following examples explain the present invention in detail, but the present invention is not limited thereto.

粘着剤層の各四角形状の面積を2.2mm2(欠けのある例においては欠けがない場合の面積)、隣接する粘着剤層相互の間隔を0.3mmとした。
A commercially available acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive is applied by gravure printing to a tape substrate made of a polyethylene terephthalate film that has been subjected to double-sided release treatment, resulting in a square shape as shown in FIG. The pressure-sensitive transfer tape was obtained while changing the size of the chipped portion at the tip of the adhesive layer. The area of each quadrangular shape of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer was 2.2 mm 2 (in the case of chipping, the area when there was no chipping), and the interval between adjacent pressure-sensitive adhesive layers was 0.3 mm.
In addition, each side of the plurality of square-shaped pressure-sensitive adhesive layers is inclined about 45 degrees (40 to 50 degrees) with respect to the transfer direction. As described above, the area (A) of a triangle having a corner with a missing tip with respect to a quadrilateral diagonal line in a direction perpendicular to the transfer direction, the other triangle having no corner with a missing tip. Expressed as area ratio to area (B).

65%, 70%, 80%, 95%, 100% (the tip is not missing as a comparative example) [A / B × 100 (%)] The pressure-sensitive transfer tape produced by changing was evaluated. In the examples of 70% and 80%, a method using a gravure plate in which a portion corresponding to the chip is filled in advance is used as a means for producing a chipped corner, 65% and 95%. For the examples, coating was performed at a speed higher than the optimum coating speed, specifically, 120% of the optimum coating speed (A / B = 95% of the examples) and 150% (A / B = 65% of the examples). Each method was used.
As a comparative example, a pressure-sensitive transfer tape shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 was produced and evaluated in the same manner. These evaluation results are shown in Table 1.
In addition, in the square-shaped pressure-sensitive adhesive layer applied at an actual mass-production coating speed, each square corner other than the portion where the corner at the tip in the transfer direction is intentionally missing is shown in FIGS. In every pattern that can be seen, there is a small roundness.

From Table 1, when the size [A / B × 100 (%)] of the corner portion at the tip of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is less than 70%, the area of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is excessively decreased, and the adhesive force is reduced. If it exceeds 90%, the transferability of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer at the beginning of transfer is poor, and if it is severe, transfer loss of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer may occur. When it is 80% or more and 95% or less, all the properties such as adhesive strength, transferability of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer at the beginning of transfer, and cut-off property of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer at the end of transfer are improved.
