Description
孟宗竹を約1mの長さに切断したものを5本、1週間日陰に保管しておいた孟宗竹の幹の表皮をロータリーサンダーで削り取った。削り取った竹表皮粉50.03gにラッカーシンナー120mlを加え、一昼夜浸漬し、85℃程度の湯浴下、30分間超音波抽出を行った。その後、抽出液を15分間放置し2号ろ紙にて上澄み液をろ過した。次いで、ろ液をロータリーエバポレーターにて溶剤を除き、竹表皮抽出物2.13gを得た。次に、所定量の竹表皮抽出物を所定量の亜麻仁油(Lボイル油、商品名、東新油脂製)に加温して溶かし100倍希釈した塗料組成物を得た。
一方、予めLボイル油を布にて下地塗布し、表面についた余分の油を布にて抜き取り12時間乾燥した竹集成材にLボイル油を上塗りとして、下地塗布同様の塗布作業を行い、72時間乾燥させた竹集成材を比較例1とした。
実施例1と同様に孟宗竹を約1mの長さに切断したものを70本、1週間日陰に保管しておいた孟宗竹の幹の表皮を切削刃で削り取り、さらに削り取った竹切削片を粉砕した竹表皮粉700.0gにTXシンナー(酢酸エチル及び酢酸ブチル混合溶剤)2000mlを加え、一昼夜浸漬し、85℃程度の湯浴下、2時間超音波抽出を行った。その後、抽出液を15分間放置し1号ろ紙にて減圧ろ過した。次いで、ろ液をロータリーエバポレーターにて溶剤を除き、竹表皮抽出物33.06gを得た。次に、所定量の竹表皮抽出物を所定量の亜麻仁油6号(東新油脂製)に加温して溶かし100倍、200倍、500倍希釈した塗料組成物、すなわち1.0重量%、0.5重量%、0.2重量%塗料組成物を得た。
同様の方法で、亜麻仁油6号のみを塗布した試験片を比較例2として抗菌性試験を実施した。試験片の生菌数測定結果を表2に、抗菌活性化試験結果を表3に示す。
実施例5
実施例1で製造した竹表皮抽出物を用いて、下塗り用塗料組成物として、以下の成分比のものを調製した。
0.2重量%竹表皮抽出物を含む亜麻仁油7号(東新油脂製)70.0重量%
イソパラフィン系溶剤 22.0重量%
D−リモネン 7.0重量%
コバルト系乾燥促進剤
(住化エンビロサイエンス社製オクトライフCo8%) 1.0重量%
すなわち、薄め液のイソパラフィン、D−リモネン及び乾燥促進剤中の溶剤は、塗布した後に揮発するので、竹表皮抽出物を、ほぼ500倍に希釈した塗料組成物、0.2重量%竹表皮抽出物を用いれば、塗料組成物中にも0.2重量%竹表皮抽出物を含むことになる。したがって、竹表皮抽出物を亜麻仁油7号(東新油脂)に溶解し0.2重量%としたものを70.0重量%、イソパラフィン22.0重量%、D−リモネン7.0重量%、及びコバルト系乾燥促進剤1.0重量%を加えよくかき混ぜるだけでよい。
実施例2で製造した竹表皮抽出物を用いて、上塗り用塗料組成物として、以下の成分比のものを調製した。
0.5重量%竹表皮抽出物を含む亜麻仁油7号(東新油脂製)50.0重量%
イソパラフィン系溶剤(エクソンモービル社製アイソパーG)38.0重量%
D−リモネン 5.0重量%
カルナバワックス 3.0重量%
ロジン 3.0重量%
カルシウム系乾燥促進剤
(住化エンビロサイエンス社製オクトライフCa4%) 1.0重量%
ここでは、薄め液のイソパラフィン、D−リモネン及び乾燥促進剤中の溶剤は、塗布した後に揮発するので、竹表皮抽出物を、ほぼ230倍に希釈した塗料組成物となる。すなわち、0.5重量%竹表皮抽出物を亜麻仁油7号(東新油脂製)に溶解したものを50.0重量%、イソパラフィン38.0重量%、D−リモネン5.0重量%、及びカルシウム系乾燥促進剤1.0重量%を加えよくかき混ぜて、0.44重量%竹表皮抽出物を含む塗料組成物が得られた。
実施例5で製造した下塗り用塗料組成物を用いて、下塗り用着色塗料組成物(ダークブラウン)として、顔料としてベンガラを用い、以下の成分比のものを調製した。
ベンガラ(茶) 13.0重量%
ベンガラ(黒) 7.0重量%
下塗り用塗料組成物 80.0重量%
ベンガラを予め少量の下塗り用塗料組成物でよく練り、残りの下塗り用塗料組成物を加えよくかき混ぜる。
本発明の塗料組成物を用いて木製家具への塗布の一例につき、次の手順で実施した。すなわち、下塗り用塗料組成物または、下塗り用着色塗料組成物を塗布し、5〜10分ほど放置した後に余分な塗料組成物を布で拭き取る。12〜24時間程度乾燥させた後に上塗り用塗料組成物を塗布し、5〜10分ほど放置した後に余分な塗料組成物を拭き取り乾燥させて塗装を完成させた。
2 竹の幹の表皮を削り取っていない部分
Claims (8)
- 植物性油脂を主成分とし、これに竹の幹の表皮成分の有機溶剤による竹表皮抽出物を添加してなる塗料組成物。
- 植物性油脂が亜麻仁油であり、竹表皮抽出物が孟宗竹幹の竹表皮研削粉からの有機溶剤抽出物である請求項1記載の塗料組成物。
- 植物性油脂が亜麻仁油であり、竹表皮抽出物が孟宗竹幹の表皮より溶融する樹脂様物質からの有機溶剤抽出物である請求項1記載の塗料組成物。
- 竹表皮抽出物の含有量が0.05〜5重量%である請求項1〜3のいずれか記載の塗料組成物。
- 竹幹の表皮を研削して竹表皮研削粉とし、これに有機溶剤を加えて竹表皮成分を抽出し、抽出液をろ過し、ろ液から有機溶剤を除去して竹表皮抽出物を粉末で取り出し、該竹表皮抽出物を植物性油脂に混合することを特徴とする塗料組成物の製造方法。
- 竹幹の表皮を加熱して該表皮成分を溶融樹脂様物質として分離し、該溶融樹脂様物質を有機溶剤抽出し、次いで該竹表皮抽出物を植物性油脂と混合することを特徴とする塗料組成物の製造方法。
- 配合する顔料は予め竹表皮抽出物と練り込んでから植物性油脂に混合する請求項5又は6のいずれか記載の塗料組成物の製造方法。
- 竹表皮抽出物の含有量が塗料組成物中に0.05〜5重量%の配合割合で植物性油脂に混合することを特徴とする請求項5〜7のいずれか記載の塗料組成物の製造方法。
