Claims (3)
- 複数色の自発光素子からなる表示素子部と、
前記複数色の自発光素子と同様に形成された各色の自発光素子からなるモニタ素子部と、
前記表示素子部に前記複数色毎の駆動電圧を供給する電圧供給手段と、
前記モニタ素子部が有する各色の自発光素子における電気的特性の変化に基づく当該モニタ素子部の作動状態を検出するモニタ検出手段と、
前記モニタ検出手段によって検出された前記作動状態に基づいて前記駆動電圧を制御する駆動電圧制御手段と、
前記表示素子部に表示信号を供給する表示制御手段と
を備える自発光表示装置であって、
前記モニタ素子部を前記複数色の自発光素子毎に点灯制御するモニタ制御手段と、
輝度の劣化特性が異なる、前記モニタ素子部が有する各色の前記自発光素子の前記作動状態を元に、前記表示素子部が有する各色の前記自発光素子に対する前記駆動電圧制御手段による駆動電圧の制御によって前記輝度による色バランスを調整する調整手段と
を備え、
前記調整手段は、
劣化による輝度低下が大きい色の前記モニタ素子部における自発光素子の点灯率を、該自発光素子の作動状態における電気的特性の変化に基づいて当該自発光素子以外の他の自発光素子の点灯率よりも高くして前記輝度による色バランスを調整することを特徴とする自発光表示装置。 - 前記調整手段は、
前記自発光素子における複数色毎の劣化特性に関する記憶データに基づいて調整することを特徴とする請求項1記載された自発光表示装置。 - 複数色の自発光素子からなる表示素子部と、
前記複数色の自発光素子と同様に形成された各色の自発光素子からなるモニタ素子部と、
前記表示素子部に前記複数色毎の駆動電圧を供給する電圧供給手段と、
前記モニタ素子部が有する各色の自発光素子における電気的特性の変化に基づく当該モニタ素子部の作動状態を検出するモニタ検出手段と、
前記モニタ検出手段によって検出された前記作動状態に基づいて前記駆動電圧を制御する駆動電圧制御手段と、
前記表示素子部に表示信号を供給する表示制御手段と
を備える自発光表示装置の駆動方法であって、
前記モニタ素子部を前記複数色毎に点灯制御すると共に、輝度の劣化特性が異なる各色の前記自発光素子部で劣化による輝度低下が大きい色の前記モニタ素子部における自発光素子の点灯率を、該自発光素子の作動状態における電気的特性の変化に基づいて当該自発光素子以外の他の自発光素子の点灯率よりも高くして前記輝度による色バランスを調整することを特徴とする自発光表示装置の駆動方法。
