この実施形態ではノズルの先端開口部Aの上方には弁座Bが形成され、中心部には進退自在なロッドEを内装したロッド状の弁体Dを前記弁座Bに対し摺動自在に配置するように構成されており、弁機能を果たす外側ロッドDと残留液を排出させる内側ロッドEが同心状に配置されている。充填工程での好適な動作を説明すると、まず、空隙無くつぶされた形態で袋容器が搬送され、そのスパウトSの先端部へノズルの先端開口部Aが降下して外側から勘合する。このときの充填ノズルの形態は図1の右側に示す停止時2、すなわち、ロッドEが先端開口部Aを封止した状態となっている。嵌合形態がとられるとロッドEが弁体D内を摺動上昇し、先端部が弁位置と一致した状態、すなわち図1の中央に示す停止時1の形態となり、引き続きロッドEの先端部が弁位置と一致した状態で弁体Dが弁座Bから離れ弁を解放する。すなわち、図1の左側に示す充填時の形態となって、充填されるべき液状物がタンクから供給管Cを経て圧送されてくる。この液は弁部を経由してスパウトSを介し袋容器内に充填される。所定量の充填が終了したならば、弁体DがロッドEと一体的に下降し弁座Bに当接する図1の中央に示す停止時1の形態に戻り、これで弁が閉鎖となるので充填は終了する。このとき、先端開口部Aの小空間には液が残留した状態となるので、ロッドEを更にスパウトSの天面に当接するまで下方へ変位駆動させて、この残留液をスパウトS内に排出させる。すなわち、当初の図1の右側に示す停止時2の形態に戻る。この状態で充填された袋容器の嵌合は解除され、次の工程に送られると共にあらたな空の袋容器が搬送されてくる。
この実施形態では残留液の排出を行うロッドEと弁体Dが同心配置されているので、コンパクトな充填ノズルの構造が実現できる。また、これらの駆動は同方向の変位駆動であり、近接しているので、油圧などの流体機構を駆動源として共通して用いることが容易である。
