Description
、本発明の代替の一実施態様では、高次変調データをコヒーレント復調するために、任意の低次変調データが受信機によって利用されてよい。したがって、送信方式303に示したように、低次変調ユーザ・データは任意のユーザのデータであってよく、従来技術のパイロット送信情報に対して代用される。このことを送信方式304に示す。送信方式304において、本発明の好適な実施態様では、低次変調データが高次変調データに近接して配置される。送信方式304においては、高次変調されたデータを「高次変調」で示し、低次変調されたデータを「低次変調」で示す。送信方式304では、低次変調データは、パイロット・データの間に高次変調データと交互になるように分配されている。しかしながら、低次変調データが高次変調データに近接して配置される限り、多重化の配列は交互でなくてもよい。

よい。一部の場合、ソフト復調器504では、高次変調データおよび低次変調データの両方の型のデータが復号される時、その両方に対して第2の組のチャネル推定値を用いることが有利な(すなわち、記憶するために必要な処理またはメモリがより少ない)場合がある。
図11は、本発明の好適な実施態様による送信機の動作を示すフローチャートである。この論理フローは工程1001で開始する。工程1001にて、データ・ストリームは幾つかの変調コーダ103〜105で受信される。工程1003にて、各データ・ストリームは特定の変調方式で変調される。最後に工程1005にて、フレーム・フォーマット・コントローラ101は、送信のためのフレームに対してストリームを時間に多重化するように働く。上述のように、本発明の好適な実施態様では、フレーム・フォーマット・コントローラ101は、コントローラ103〜105から情報を受信するとともに、低次変調データが高次変調データに近接して配置されるように各副搬送波を調整する。
チャネル推定値を用いて復調される。データが低次変調データであり、かつチャネル推定に用いられない場合、工程1212にて、パイロットのみに基づき第1の組のチャネル推定値を用いて、このデータを復調することが可能である。
Claims (1)
- 第1のユーザの低次変調されたデータおよび第2のユーザの高次変調されたデータを含む複数のデータ・ストリームのチャネル推定用の装置であって、
パイロット・データを利用してチャネルの推定を可能にすることによって後の送信信号の復調を補助するパイロット・チャネル推定器と、
第1のユーザの低次変調されたデータを利用してチャネルの推定を可能にすることによって後の送信信号の復調を補助するデータ・チャネル推定器と、
第1のユーザの低次変調されたデータでパイロット・データを代用するように、
パイロット・チャネル推定器によるチャネル推定値、および
パイロット・チャネル推定器によって出力されるパイロット位置におけるチャネル推定値とデータ・チャネル推定器によって出力されるデータ位置におけるチャネル推定値との間を補間することにより算出したチャネル推定値、のうちの一方を選択的に出力するスイッチとを備える装置。
