Description

Claims (13)
- 膨張可能な脊椎移植片(20,320)において、
長手軸線(L)を有し、初期形状と膨張形状との間を移行できる移植片本体(22,322)であって、横断方向の軸線(T)に沿って離間した第一の壁(30,324)及び第二の壁(32,326)を有し、前記第一の壁が前記第二の壁と対向する内側表面に傾斜表面(92a,392a)を有する、移植片本体と、
中央部分(100)と、前記中央部分から反対方向へ突出する第一の側部分(102a)及び第二の側部分(102b)とを有する膨張部材(24)であって、前記第一の側部分及び前記第二の側部分が、前記初期形状から前記膨張形状へ移行させるように前記第一の壁及び前記第二の壁の間を前記長手軸線に沿って変位することができる、膨張部材とを備え、
前記第一の壁及び前記第二の壁が夫々、前記長手軸線に沿ってのびる溝穴(80,380)を有し、
前記膨張部材の前記長手軸線に沿う前記変位が、前記膨張部材の前記中央部分が前記溝穴内を移動することにより案内されることを特徴とする、脊椎移植片。 - 前記膨張部材の前記中央部分が、前記長手軸線に沿ってのびる通路(110)を有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の脊椎移植片。
- 前記第一の壁の前記傾斜表面が、凹状の表面(94a,394a)により形成されたくぼんだ領域を有し、前記膨張部材の前記第一の側部分及び前記第二の側部分が、前記くぼんだ領域内に位置決めされて、前記第一の壁の前記傾斜表面の頂点(96a,98a,396a,398a)間で捕縛されることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の脊椎移植片。
- 前記第二の壁が前記第一の壁と対向する内側表面に傾斜表面(92b,392b)を有することを特徴とする、請求項1乃至3の何れか1項に記載の脊椎移植片。
- 前記第一の壁(324)が、第一の中央の壁部分(329)と、前記第一の中央の壁部分の両側に位置する第一の一対の外側壁部分(330a,330b)とを有し、前記第二の壁(326)が、第二の中央の壁部分(331)と、前記第二の中央の壁部分の両側に位置する第二の一対の外側壁部分(332a,332b)とを有し、
前記膨張部材の前記第一の側部分及び前記第二の側部分が前記第一の壁及び前記第二の壁の間を前記長手軸線に沿って変位する際、前記第一の一対の外側壁部分及び前記第二の一対の外側壁部分が互いに離間するように変位するが、前記第一の中央の壁部分及び前記第二の中央の壁部分は非変形の静止状態に維持されることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の脊椎移植片。 - 前記移植片本体が前記初期形状にあるときに、前記第一の壁(30,324)及び前記第二の壁(32,326)が内方へくぼんで凹状の湾曲部を形成して、前記脊椎移植片の椎間板空間内への挿入を容易にすることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4の何れか1項に記載の脊椎移植片。
- 前記移植片本体が前記膨張形状へ移行したときに、前記凹状の湾曲部が、外方へ膨張して凸状の湾曲部を形成することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の脊椎移植片。
- 前記第一の壁(30,324)が外方の第一の係合表面(50,350)を有し、前記第二の壁(32,326)が外方の第二の係合表面(52,352)を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至7の何れか1項に記載の脊椎移植片。
- 前記第一の係合表面(50,350)及び前記第二の係合表面(52,352)が、表面突出部(60,360)を有することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の脊椎移植片。
- 前記第一の係合表面(50,350)及び前記第二の係合表面(52,352)が、多数の溝(62)を有することを特徴とする請求項8又は9に記載の脊椎移植片。
- 前記第一の壁(30,324)及び前記第二の壁(32,326)が、前方の端壁(34,334)及び後方の端壁(36,336)に一体的に接続されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至10の何れか1項に記載の脊椎移植片。
- 前記第一の壁(324)、前記第二の壁(326)、及び前記前方の端壁(334)が互いに共働して、前記脊椎移植片の椎間板空間内への挿入を容易にするように丸い末端部分(338)を画定することを特徴とする請求項11記載の脊椎移植片。
- 前記第一の壁(324)及び前記第二の壁(326)と前記後方の端壁(336)との間の相互接続位置が、前記脊椎移植片の椎間板空間からの除去を補助するための丸い隅部(339)を画定することを特徴とする請求項11又は12に記載の脊椎移植片。
