Description
【0001】
F=k1 ×Fmax

In the present invention, a force acting on a wheel and a tire is detected by a wheel force sensor or a tire sensor, and is used as a control amount for an automobile control system such as ABS, TCS, EHB, and the like. The invention relates to a method for controlling the running state of a vehicle, which is used to determine and / or change brake pressure and / or drive torque in a brake.
[0002]
Many such methods for controlling the running state of a vehicle are known. This method uses a tire sensor to detect the force and torque acting on the tire. In European Patent No. 0444109, changes in the tire tread region (tire tread contact region) are monitored, and in WO96 / 10505, tire sidewall deformation (twist deformation) is arranged at a different radius with respect to the rotational axis. Detected by measuring the time between passing at least two marks on the rotating wheel. A tire sensor that detects changes in phase position between measurement signals generated by the measurement element due to forces acting on the tire when the tire is deformed, and a phase position indicating the torque transmitted from the wheel to the road and / or the instantaneous coefficient of friction. This change is described in WO 97/44673. The forces acting on the tire in this way and detected by the tire sensor are used in the vehicle control system to determine and / or change the brake pressure in the wheel brakes of the wheels.
[0003]
In addition to this vehicle control system that controls the determination and / or modification of the brake pressure in the wheel brakes based on the force detected by the tire sensor and / or the torque between the tire and the road, the four wheel speeds of the vehicle Also known are automotive ABS control systems and / or TCS control systems with conventional sensor devices for detecting wheel speed. ABS control or TCS control is activated automatically if the wheel exceeds the optimal slip range during braking or acceleration, thereby causing the wheel to lock or slip.
[0004]
In the case of this known ABS control system or TCS control system, the information necessary for control is obtained by detecting the rotational state of the individual wheels. In this case, a vehicle reference speed that approximately represents the vehicle speed is determined by logical combination of the wheel rotation signals. This vehicle reference speed can be used as a reference quantity for determining wheel slip and other control quantities and as a reference quantity for determining or controlling the brake pressure in the wheel brake. In the case of known ABS control systems or TCS control systems, the determination of the wheel slip to the slip limit value, i.e. the braking force or drive torque that can be transmitted up to that point, is determined by the vehicle. dangerous This is achieved by being braked or driven beyond the slip region. The wheel circumferential speed changes with respect to the vehicle reference speed so that the tendency of the wheels to lock or idle is detected. In the case of ABS control or TCS control, the control cycle in which the pressure is maintained from the phase generated in an arbitrary order, the pressure is increased, and the pressure is decreased is repeated a plurality of times per wheel.
[0005]
To detect the slip limit dangerous By having to exceed the slip region, the brake output or drive output in each ABS control cycle or TCS control cycle is reduced. At the same time, the braking distance is extended. dangerous By exceeding the slip region, the side force of the tire decreases. Vehicle stability and vehicle steerability are reduced.
[0006]
Therefore, the slip limit value or for detection or determination dangerous For controlling the running state of a vehicle, which can detect or determine the slip limit value of a vehicle wheel suitable for ABS control or TCS control via a sensor without exceeding the slip region A method is desired.
[0007]
A tire sensor that detects a force transmitted from a wheel to a road and acting on a tire can be basically used as a control amount in an ABS control system or a TCS control system. This is because the force is directly detected at the place where the tire sensor is generated. However, in the μ-slip characteristic curve, the coefficient of friction (μ) increases in proportion to the slip, thereby increasing the force between the tire and the road when the wheel is locked, so that the force detected by the tire sensor A slip value suitable for ABS control or TCS control cannot be uniquely determined.
[0008]
The problem underlying the present invention is to provide a method for controlling the running state of a vehicle, which can optimize the influence of the movement of the vehicle.
[0009]
This problem is solved in the method described at the outset by the features of
[0010]
The feature of the method is that when the ABS control or TCS control is started, the operating point and / or the operating range of the force detected by the wheel force sensor or the tire sensor is determined by the detected wheel slip. Setting It is to be done. Wheel slip is determined depending on quantities such as wheel speed and vehicle reference speed, which are measured and calculated depending on conventional sensors, and on the evaluation of dynamic wheel rotation conditions. At that time, the operating point and / or operating range of the control amount detected by the wheel force sensor or the tire sensor is Danger of first ABS control cycle or TCS control cycle During wheel slip and / or during at least one wheel slip and speed Or its differential value At the wheel turning point Set at the same time Is done. maximum value The determination of the force at the beginning of the brake slip increase or traction slip increase or negative acceleration (ABS) or positive acceleration (TCS), ie during the first ABS control cycle or TCS control cycle dangerous This is done in the range of slip values. In addition, the minimum value This force is determined when a positive acceleration occurs from the brake slip or when a negative acceleration from the propulsion slip or re-acceleration from the wheel slip occurs. The estimated rotational state of the individual wheels; dangerous By adjusting the vehicle reference speed during the slip by the force detected by the wheel force sensor or the tire sensor, especially the longitudinal force, the operating point and / or operating range of the controlled variable “force” can be reduced. Setting Is done. Accordingly, the present invention relates to a rotational speed state and a vehicle. Command Speed make use of Wheel slip, ie dangerous By determining the slip, it is based on the recognition that the operating point or operating range of the force detected by the wheel force sensor or the tire sensor is detected at the start of the first control cycle. As a result, the frictional connection between the tire and the road is clearly determined, and errors in the control amount are eliminated. This error is based on the μ slip curve. In the case of this μ slip characteristic curve, the coefficient of friction (μ) increases in proportion to the slip, thereby increasing the force between the tire and the road when the wheel is locked or idling.
[0011]
By the method of the present invention, the operating point and / or operating range of the force acting on the vehicle tire is within the ABS control range or TCS control range of the wheel slip. Setting Is done. To this end, the rotational state of the wheel is first detected at the start of the control process within an unstable range, and in some cases is evaluated taking into account other quantities. Subsequently, the control of the next ABS control cycle or TCS control cycle, wheel slip, the wheel force as long as an external action such as a change in friction coefficient does not move the operating point and / or operating range and exceeds the slip limit value. Via the force detected by the sensor or tire sensor, Lower than dangerous slip value or up to dangerous slip value (slip limit value) Adjusted.
[0012]
In a particularly advantageous implementation of the method, the aforementioned determination of the operating point and / or operating range is started anew, so that the operating point and / or operating range is adapted to the new characteristic quantity or state quantity.
[0013]
A particularly advantageous series of embodiments of the method according to the invention is described in the dependent claims.
[0014]
In an advantageous embodiment, at least based on the amount detected by a conventional sensor dangerous The wheel slip and / or at least one wheel slip within the ABS control range or the TCS control range is determined simultaneously with the detection of the force by the wheel sensor or the tire sensor. Because, by using a conventional control method, when entering the ABS control or TCS control, it is easy to determine the control point, that is, the reliable operating point or operating range of the force. Setting It is possible.
[0015]
In another embodiment, in the first ABS control cycle or TCS control cycle, the force is determined at the increase of brake slip or traction slip and / or at the acceleration of the wheel, at the wheel reversal point of speed or its derivative value, i.e. The force is determined when acceleration occurs from the brake slip or when deceleration occurs from the propulsion slip of the wheel. Because when braking increases or when traction slips increase or when the wheel accelerates, the force is not only dependent on slip and / or deceleration, Depending on various characteristic quantities, for example, small tire pressure or wheels with high slip requirements It also depends on the increase in power.
[0016]
By determining the force at the time of increased brake slip or traction slip in the first ABS control cycle or TCS control cycle and / or at the start of acceleration, immediately after the determination, by the wheel force sensor or tire sensor detection The controlled amount can be used for ABS control or TCS control. detection The controlled amount can be adjusted within a stable wheel slip range. As a result, a decrease in tire side force that occurs within an unstable wheel slip range, a deterioration in vehicle steering performance, and a decrease in brake output associated therewith are avoided.
[0017]
According to another embodiment, when entering the driving stability range, the determination and / or change of the brake pressure and / or drive torque is
F = k1 x Fmax
Controlled according to where Fmax = longitudinal force in the critical slip area, k1 = proportional coefficient, F = actual longitudinal force between tire and road. In order to avoid vibration excitation of the traveling device, the longitudinal force is stepwise Setting Is done. The aforementioned determination of the first operating point is made and the wheel slip is controlled by the control amount Fmax × k1. Is subtracted using To power Equivalent After the brake pressure or basic drive torque to be adjusted is adjusted, Force, slip or acceleration at the wheel Is observed. When the product Fmax × k1 is larger than the force F measured by the wheel force sensor or the tire sensor, the ABS control or the TCS control is expressed by the following equation.
[0018]
[Expression 2]
And T0 is 60 to 90 ms, especially 70 to 80 ms. Minute time TABS / TCS is Finish It's time.
[0019]
By determining the product Fmax.times.k1, that is, when the product Fmax.times.k1 is greater than the force F measured by the wheel force sensor or the tire sensor, a constant brake pressure control or driving torque setting by the driver. An increasing coefficient of friction between the tire and the road can be inferred. In this case, it is indirectly proportional to the difference k1 · Fmax−F. Finish Accelerated by time, depart from ABS mode and TCS mode. This is because the vehicle state can be estimated by a decrease in the lock tendency or the traction slip tendency.
[0020]
When the estimated product Fmax.times.k1 approximately matches the force F measured by the wheel force sensor or tire sensor, braking or acceleration with a uniform coefficient of friction is assumed. In this case, the evaluation of k1 · Fmax depends on the exact determination of the force Fmax determined when the brake slip or traction slip is increased or when the wheel is accelerated. It depends on the brake output during ABS control, and depends on the output and acceleration of the drive unit during TCS control.
[0021]
Due to the self-test cycle, the determined forces Fmax and Fmin are constantly updated and corrected if necessary. To that end, after a nominal time, a change or increase in brake pressure is effected by a pressure increase pulse supplied to the control system and / or by addition of drive torque in the TCS control system. In this case, positive or negative acceleration and force of the wheel are detected. From the evaluation and change of the measured force and acceleration, for example, when the force F increases and the acceleration does not change, i.e., when the increase in the force F is detected without increasing the acceleration, the braking force or the driving force is ineffective. It is assumed that it is sufficient. In other words, the force F measured and evaluated by the tire sensor, particularly the longitudinal force detected between the tire and the road, does not coincide with the force that can be transmitted from the wheel to the road. In this case, a new discovery of the operating point or operating range is started.
[0022]
In an embodiment of the invention, when the force Fmax or acceleration is evaluated by comparison with a threshold value (S) and exceeds the threshold value, the instability and thus the braking force is increased by changing or increasing the brake pressure or by increasing the drive torque. Slip or traction slip occurs. As described above, this instability is caused by wheel slipping to restore the operating point. Setting Produce. This re-use of the operating point due to wheel slip Setting Alternatively, redetermination is started when traveling at high speed or when a large force is generated.
[0023]
According to another embodiment, when the maximum force Fmax or acceleration is evaluated by comparison and falls below a threshold (S), particularly when Fmax or a (acceleration) <S, at least one pressure rise pulse is applied. Supplying the control system with a plurality of pressure increase pulses and / or at least one additional drive torque to the control system to change or increase the brake pressure causes the measured force F to be maximized (Fmax ). In doing so, the wheels considered will slip slightly. That is, dangerous A new operating point is generated above the slip region or slip limit. This control is advantageous when the force or vehicle acceleration is low.
[0024]
In another embodiment of the method, the force F is almost constant or does not increase, and positive or negative acceleration or measured force is related to F> k1. When increasing according to Fmax, the wheel is within the wheel slip ABS control range or TCS control range. In this case, the drive torque drop or brake pressure drop is controlled to F ≦ k2 × Fmin by a brake pressure drop pulse of about Tp = 2 ms or by adding drive torque. Here, k2> 1.

An embodiment of the invention is shown in the figure. Next, this embodiment will be described in detail.

The ABS control processing procedure will be described with reference to FIG. 3 in conjunction with FIG. In FIG. 5, the relationship between wheel speed v, pressure p and force signal F during controlled braking with a uniform friction coefficient is shown very simply. At time t1, the wheel x considered here, which is in the pressure rising phase, becomes unstable. At this point, the brake pressure in the wheel brake for this wheel is p. In order to determine the force between the tire and the road at time t1, first the brake slip determined by the conventional wheel speed sensor in diamond block 30 (in this case the wheel x becomes unstable) Is started in the first ABS control cycle. At the same time, the force signal Fmax determined based on the wheel force sensor or the tire sensor is determined and stored at time t1 (31). In this force signal, a clear brake slip increase or a corresponding deceleration (decrease in wheel peripheral speed) is confirmed. And at the time t1, the wheel to be considered becomes unstable. Since the electronic controller closes the inlet valve of the brake device based on the confirmed locking tendency, the brake pressure p at time t2 no longer increases when the operating pressure further increases. The force measured by the wheel force sensor or the tire sensor decreases as the brake slip increases in the pressure holding phase. This is because the frictional connection between the tire and the road is weakened. If brake slip further increases despite the brake pressure p being constant until time t3, a

FIG. 6, in conjunction with FIG. 3, shows a very simplified relationship between wheel speed v, pressure p and force signal F during controlled braking with decreasing coefficient of friction. Up to time t7, the procedure corresponds to the procedure for determining Fmax and Fmin described in connection with FIG. 5, and the subsequent braking force control by means of force signals F1-F4 determined by the wheel force sensor or tire sensor. At this time, if the wheel x considered here in the pressure increasing phase becomes newly unstable at time t7, for example, based on a decrease in the friction coefficient, the operating point and / or operating range of the controlled variable is related to FIG. Thus, a new adjustment is made by the wheel slip as described above. Based on the decreasing coefficient of friction, another control cycle results. In this control cycle, the instability of the wheel x determines

In another embodiment, when the frictional coupling action is preferably weak and the vehicle deceleration is small, in step 39.1, in step 39.1 there is a significant pressure increase, i.e. in the wheel brake caused by the frictional coupling action between the tire and the road. A pressure increase occurs. This pressure increase causes the wheel to become unstable in step 39.2, and the processing procedure of FIG. 3 is newly performed, thereby correcting Fmax and Fmin.
[0043]
The processing procedure of TCS control will be described with reference to FIG. At some point, the driven wheel x considered here becomes unstable. At this point, drive torque is applied to the wheels. This drive torque tends to idle the wheel x. In order to determine the force between the tire and the road at this point, first the start of the drive slip at which the wheel x becomes unstable, as measured by the conventional wheel speed sensor in the

In another embodiment, preferably when the frictional coupling action Fmax is weak and the vehicle acceleration is small, in step 63.1, a significant driving torque addition, i.e. a driving torque addition caused by the frictional coupling action between the tire and the road, is provided. Is done. This driving force addition causes the corresponding wheel to become unstable in Step 63.2, and causes the correction of Fmax and Fmin by newly performing the processing procedure of FIG.
