Description

The present invention relates to a surgical staple remover for removing surgical staples used to suture a wound from a wound.

In general, when a surgical staple is removed by a surgical staple remover, the removed staple needs to be placed in a tray or the like placed at an appropriate position for hygiene management. However, when the removed surgical staple is transferred from the patient's wound to the tray, the surgical staple may be dropped on the floor or the like, which may be dissipated. Even after moving the removed surgical staples into the tray, the surgical staples are exposed in the tray. There is a possibility of touching.

Therefore, in consideration of safety, the surgical staple having a configuration in which the removed surgical staple is slid and moved to the safe storage portion as it is so that the surgical staple can be immediately stored in a safe place when the surgical staple is extracted. A remover has been developed.
Japanese Patent Application No. 2004-351365

By the way, the removed surgical staples must be counted as well as not touching human hands. This is because the number of surgical staples used for suturing at the time of surgery is written in the medical chart, and it can be said that the operation has been completed for the first time by confirming that the number of needles to be removed is the same as the number used. .

However, it is not possible to know how many surgical staples have been removed simply by storing surgical staples in the storage section as described above. Moreover, even if the storage portion is transparent, there is a problem that it is difficult to count when the surgical staples overlap each other.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a surgical staple remover that solves the above-mentioned problems and is safe and easy to count the number of surgical staples that have been removed.

According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a needle support portion for supporting the surgical staple by entering both lower portions of the crown portion of the surgical staple having sutured skin, and the crown of the surgical staple supported by the needle support portion. A pressing slider for pressing the central upper part of the section to deform the surgical staple and pulling it out of the skin, and sliding the surgical staple along a pair of parallel needle receiving sections formed continuously from the needle support section And a storage portion for storing the surgical staple pulled in by the pressing slider, the inside of the storage portion is formed so as to be visible, and the needle receiving portion has the pressing portion A plurality of engaging recesses that can be engaged with each of the surgical staples drawn by the slider are continuously formed. That.

Invention, in claim 1, engaging recess upper Symbol pressing slider the surgery in the most the needle support side of the engagement recess is continuously formed in the needle receiving part according to claim 2 The surgical staple retracted when it is slid to the end of the movable range slidable along the needle receiving portion when retracting the staple is formed at a position where it can be engaged.

According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the first or second aspect, the engaging recess is formed in a sawtooth shape.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, the extracted surgical staple is pulled into the storage portion by the pressing slider, and the pulled surgical staple is engaged with each of the plurality of continuous engaging recesses. Match. Since the pair of needle receiving portions provided with the engagement recesses are provided in parallel, the surgical staple is stably held in the engagement recesses and arranged in an orderly manner. Therefore, how many surgical staples are pulled out can be counted visually from the outside of the storage section. Therefore, the surgeon can easily and reliably check whether the number of surgical staples used for suturing is the same as or different from the number of removed surgical staples.

According to the second aspect of the present invention, among the engagement recesses formed continuously in the needle receiving portion, the engagement recess closest to the pressing slider is at least the pressing slider is the surgical staple. Since the surgical staple retracted when it is slid to the end of the movable range slidable along the needle receiving portion at the time of retraction is formed at a position where it can be engaged, Since the surgical staple sent to is always engaged with the engaging recess, even if the pressing slider returns to its original position, the surgical staple engaged with the engaging recess is stable. It does not move with.

According to the invention of claim 3, since the engaging recess is formed in a sawtooth shape, the surgical staple engaged with the engaging recess is stable and does not move with the pressing slider. Further, when it is further pushed in by the pressing slider, it can move smoothly and engage with the next engaging recess.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a surgical staple remover, and FIG. 2 is a longitudinal sectional view thereof. In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a surgical staple remover. The surgical staple remover 1 mainly includes a main body 2, a pressing slider 3, and a needle receiving support member 4.

The main body 2 is formed of an elongated box-shaped and transparent synthetic resin. A taking-in opening 5 is formed at the front end of the main body 2, and a space constituting the storage portion 6 is formed inside the main body 2. The intake opening 5 is continuous with the storage 6. A guide groove 7 is formed at the upper center of the main body 2 along the longitudinal direction thereof. A guide passage 8 is formed in the lower portion of the guide groove 7. In addition, the storage part 6 should just be the structure which can visually observe the inside from the outside, and is not necessarily limited to the structure which makes the main-body part 2 transparent. The structure which forms the slit-shaped transparent window part which can look inside at the accommodating part 6 may be sufficient.

The pressing slider 3 includes a slider body 3a, a pressing lever 10 and a needle pressing portion 11. The slider body 3a is slidably provided in the guide passage 8 and is urged by a spring 12 so as to always move forward. A convex portion 13 is formed on the upper portion of the slider main body 3a, and this convex portion 13 engages with the guide groove 7 to restrict the front and rear moving ends of the slider main body 3a.

The pressing lever 10 protrudes obliquely forward from the front end of the convex portion 13, and a finger hook portion 14 is formed at the top of the tip. The pressing lever 10 is made of an elastic material so as to bend and deform downward from its base.

The needle pressing portion 11 is formed so as to protrude below the finger hooking portion 14 at the front end of the pressing lever 10, and the front end of the needle pressing portion 11 is formed in a bowl shape with the front engaging portion 15 protruding from the rear pressing portion 16. In addition, since the needle pushing part 11 is requested | required of intensity | strength, it is preferable to comprise with hard raw materials, such as a metal.

Next, the needle receiver support member 4 is made of metal and has a front portion formed in a U shape, and a pair of parallel needle receiver portions 18 are rearward from the front portion of the U-shaped needle support portion 17. It is continuously formed. 3A, the U-shaped needle support portion 17 is inserted between the surgical staple 20 bent by a surgical stapler and the skin 21, and the crown portion 22 of the surgical staple 20 is inserted. The width of the surgical staple 20 is formed so as to be slightly narrower than the width of the crown portion 22 of the surgical staple 20 so that it can be easily inserted between the crown portion 22 and the surgical staple 20. The wall thickness is also thin.

The needle support portion 17 projects forward from the take-in opening 5 of the storage portion 6 of the main body portion 2, and the needle receiving portion 18 is disposed so as to be accommodated in the storage portion 6 of the main body portion 2, and is fixed by appropriate means. Yes. Further, the needle receiving portion 18 is formed with an engaging concave portion 23 that is continuous in the storage portion 6. The engagement recess 23 is formed between teeth formed in a sawtooth shape, and the interval between the engagement recesses 23 adjacent to each other in the front-rear direction is approximately the same as the width of about 1 to 1.5 staples. Is set to The engagement recess 23a located in the foremost (frontmost part) is set so as to be substantially directly above the rear surface of the engagement part 15 when the pressing slider 3 slides to the moving end. Furthermore, the number of surgical staples used in a normal surgical operation is about 30 to 40, and the number of the engaging recesses 23 may be determined according to this.

Next, the operation of the surgical staple remover 1 configured as described above will be described. First, the main body portion 2 is held with one hand, and as shown in FIG. 3 (a), the needle support portion 17 of the needle receiving support member 4 is placed below the crown portion 22 of the surgical staple with the wound wound. Lower portions on both sides of the portion 22 are supported by the needle support portion 17. Next, the tip of the index finger is hung on the finger hooking portion 14 of the pressing slider 3 and the pressing lever 10 is bent downward. Thereby, the pressing portion 16 of the needle pressing portion 11 is engaged with the upper center of the crown portion 22 of the surgical staple. Further, when the pressure lever 10 is bent downward by applying a force to the finger hooking portion 14, the crown portion 22 of the surgical staple is supported by the needle support portion 17 on both sides, and the central upper portion is viewed from above by the pressing portion 16. Since it is pushed downward, it is bent and deformed into a U shape as shown in FIG. After the surgical staple 20 has been extracted in this manner, as shown in FIG. 4, when the pressing slider 3 is slid backward against the spring 12, the surgical staple 20 is engaged with the engaging portion of the needle pushing portion 11. 15, is taken into the storage portion 6 from the take-in opening 5, and further sent to the moving end of the pressing slider 3. When the pressing slider 3 is slid to the moving end, the rear surface of the engaging portion 15 of the pressing slider 3 is set so as to be in a position corresponding to the engaging recess 23a that is closest to the pressing slider 3 as shown in FIG. Thus, the retracted surgical staple is engaged with and supported by the foremost engaging recess 23a. Thereafter, the force is removed from the pressing slider 3 to return to the initial position by the spring force of the spring 12. Even if the pressing slider 3 returns to the original position, the surgical staple 20 is stably supported by the pair of needle receiving portions 18 and between the teeth formed in the serrated shape of the both needle receiving portions 18. Since it is engaged with the formed engaging recess 23, it cannot move in the return direction (forward) and is held in its position.

Similarly, the next surgical staple 20 is pulled out by the same operation of the pressing slider 3 and is taken into the storage portion 6 from the take-in opening 5 by the rear slide of the pressing slider 3. When the pressing slider 3 reaches the moving end, the taken surgical staple 20 is pushed to the foremost engaging recess 23a, so that the previous surgical staple held in the engaging recess 23a is pushed. 20 is forcibly pushed backward. Since a gentle slope is formed behind the engaging recess 23, the pressed surgical staple 20 is smoothly pushed backward. Since the interval between adjacent engaging recesses 23b is set to be approximately the same as the width of about 1 to 1.5 staples, the pushed surgical staple 20 is engaged with the next engaging recess 23b. It is supported together. Thereafter, when the force is removed from the pressing slider 3 and returned to the initial position by the spring force of the spring 12, the surgical staple 20 engaged with the two engaging recesses 23 is held in the same position. Hereinafter, similarly, the removed surgical staples are sequentially held rearwardly in the engagement recess 23 of the needle receiving portion 18 of the needle receiving support member 4.

In this way, when the last surgical staple 20 is held in the foremost engaging recess 23, all of the removed surgical staples 20 are arranged in an orderly manner in the engaging recess 23 of the needle receiving portion 18. Retained. Therefore, how many surgical staples are pulled out can be counted visually from the side of the main body 2.

In addition, it is preferable that the height of the storage portion 6 is slightly larger than the height of the surgical staple 20 that has been removed. Specifically, the upper surface of the storage unit 6 is slightly higher than the thickness of the surgical staple 20 supported by the needle receiver 18, and the lower surface of the storage unit 6 is supported by the needle receiver 18. Preferably, it is formed to be slightly lower than the lower end of the surgical staple 20. Accordingly, even if the surgical staple remover 1 is slightly tilted or moved, the surgical staple held inside is hardly detached from the engagement recess 23 and is held well in a state of being supported by the needle receiving portion 18. The

Moreover, the engagement recessed part 23 is not necessarily limited to what is formed in sawtooth shape. For example, a continuous waveform may be used.

Further, the needle holder 18 of the main body 2 or the needle holder support member 4 can be quickly and reliably changed in color so that it becomes a standard every ten, twenty or thirty, or a scale is displayed. It may be possible to calculate it.
