Description

The present invention relates to an installation structure for providing an in-vehicle antenna used in an automatic toll collection system (hereinafter referred to as an ETC system) on an expressway at an optimum position of a motorcycle equipped with an airbag.

In order to use the ETC system by a motorcycle, it is necessary to communicate between an in-vehicle antenna provided in the motorcycle and a ground antenna provided in a toll gate. For this reason, one of the installation requirements for the in-vehicle side antenna is to ensure reception performance. For this purpose, it must be installed in a place where there is no shielding between the front side of the vehicle body and the ground side antenna. As such an installation example, a vehicle-mounted communication device including an antenna is built in a meter (see Patent Document 1). There is also a front cowl projecting forward from the front cowl (see Patent Document 2).
JP-A-10-278865 JP 2005-18354 A

The installation location of the antenna that satisfies the above requirements in a motorcycle is extremely limited, unlike a four-wheel vehicle that has a sufficient mounting location at the front part of the vehicle body, such as the upper part of the meter or the upper part of the steering wheel. The above requirements can be satisfied if the in-vehicle communication device including the antenna is built in the meter as in the above known example, but since such a built-in structure must be adopted from our factory before shipping, it is limited to models with built-in specifications, For example, it is extremely difficult to incorporate an in-vehicle communication device in a meter retrofit to a model that does not have an original specification, because it must be processed on the meter side. Further, projecting forward from the front cowl tends to affect the design because of the front and upper parts of the vehicle body that are likely to appear.
Therefore, when installing an antenna in a model that does not have a built-in specification, it is provided on the meter, which is the optimal position in terms of ensuring reception performance, by attaching it to the outside, etc., narrowing the field of view or affecting the visibility of the meter, It is required to be installed so as not to affect the design because it is the front and upper part of the body that is easy to be seen.
Further, in a motorcycle equipped with an air bag, the air bag is deployed to the vicinity of the meter. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent the antenna from interfering with the air bag at the time of deployment as a protrusion. However, it is difficult to install the antenna in an optimal position even in a vehicle equipped with an airbag. The present invention aims to realize such a demand.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the invention of claim 1 relating to the installation structure of the vehicle-mounted antenna for a motorcycle is directed to a motorcycle equipped with a vehicle-mounted communication device including a vehicle-mounted antenna that communicates with a ground antenna. In the installation structure of the vehicle-mounted antenna,
The motorcycle has a wind screen provided on a front portion of a vehicle body, a meter visor disposed on the inner, and a meter-covered upper side by overhanging portions of the vehicle body behind the meter visor, the the meter near equipped with airbags to deploy up to near,
While providing the vehicle-mounted antenna on the inside of the windscreen and on the meter visor,
The meter visor extends obliquely upward from the meter in a side view,
A substantially wedge-shaped space is provided between the upper surface of the meter visor and the windscreen, and the vehicle-mounted antenna is disposed in this space.
And this on-vehicle side antenna is arranged behind the meter and on the front side of the vehicle body from the parting line that becomes the limit when the airbag is deployed ,
The parting line passes through the vicinity of the extending end toward the rear of the meter visor,
The on-vehicle side antenna is disposed between the meter and the parting line .

According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect, the vehicle-mounted antenna is arranged by being drawn toward the wind screen from an extending end toward the rear side of the meter visor .

According to the first aspect of the present invention, since the vehicle-mounted antenna is disposed on the meter visor inside the windscreen that does not become a shield with respect to the ground-side antenna, the vehicle-mounted antenna is provided at the optimum position on the front and upper parts of the vehicle body. And good reception performance can be secured.
In addition, by installing the in-vehicle antenna on the inside of the windscreen, it will not protrude from the windscreen to the front of the vehicle body, so it will not affect the design even though it is installed at the front and upper part of the vehicle body where it can be easily seen. be able to.
In addition, since the vehicle-mounted antenna is arranged on the meter visor, it does not narrow the occupant's field of view or affect the visibility of the meter.

Further, since the parting line passes through the vicinity of the extension end of the meter visor, the vehicle-mounted antenna is arranged from the extension end to the front side of the vehicle body, that is, the windscreen side, so that it can be arranged from the parting line to the front side of the vehicle body.

Furthermore, because the vehicle-mounted antenna is placed on the meter visor on the front side of the vehicle body from the parting line that becomes the limit when the airbag is deployed, the antenna will not interfere even if the airbag is deployed, and it will also be installed in airbag-equipped vehicles. The side antenna can be installed at the optimum position.

According to the invention of claim 2 , the meter visor extends obliquely upward in the side view, and the in-vehicle side antenna is drawn from the extended end to the wind screen side, so that the in-vehicle side antenna does not enter the occupant's field of view. It is more certain to arrange in this way.

An embodiment will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a communication system diagram of the ETC. A wind screen 2 is provided in front of a vehicle body of a large motorcycle 1 so as to cover the front of an occupant, and a vehicle-mounted antenna described later is attached to the wind screen 2. ing. The in-vehicle side antenna communicates with a ground side antenna 21 provided in an ETC gate 20 provided at a considerably high position above the large motorcycle 1.

In the figure, reference numeral 3 denotes a handle, 4 denotes a front cowl, which is a vehicle body cover that integrates the wind screen 2 and covers the front of the vehicle body.
Reference numeral 5 denotes an airbag, which shows a deployed state. The airbag 5 is accommodated in the vehicle body cover at a position in front of the driver's seat 1a near the handle 3, and the rear space of the wind screen 2 in an emergency when sensors provided on the left and right front forks detect a predetermined acceleration. It expands inside. At the time of deployment, the front portion extends beyond the handle 3 and closes to the front surface of the meter 7 so as to fully fill the inside of the wind screen 2. Reference numeral 5a denotes a support belt, which connects the rear surface of the airbag 5 and the vehicle body frame when the airbag 5 is deployed, supports the airbag 5 so that the airbag 5 is not pushed forward together with the occupant, and simultaneously a parting line 9 described later. The airbag 5 is not directed toward the front vehicle-mounted antenna 12 (see FIG. 4).

FIG. 2 is a view showing the front of the vehicle body from the front, and a meter visor 6 is provided inside the lower portion of the wind screen 2. The meter visor 6 has a substantially chevron shape when viewed from the front side. A vehicle-mounted antenna 12 is provided on the meter visor 6, and the meter visor is viewed from the rear side of the vehicle body in a space formed between the wind screen 2 and the meter visor 6. 6 is arranged at a position hidden by 6.
In the figure, reference numeral 4a is a wiper, 4b is a side mirror, and 4c is a headlight.

FIG. 3 is a view showing the meter portion from the rear side of the vehicle body, and the meter 7 is located on the rear side of the vehicle body of the meter visor 6. The meter visor 6 surrounds the periphery of the meter 7 and prevents external light from being reflected on the meter 7. Reference numeral 14 denotes an indicator mounting range described later.

FIG. 4 shows a section of the mounting portion of the in-vehicle antenna 12. The meter visor 6 rises diagonally and protrudes rearward from the upper portion of the meter 7 to prevent external light from being reflected on the transparent meter panel 7 a covering the surface of the meter 7. A substantially wedge-shaped space 8 is provided between the upper surface of the meter visor 6 and the wind screen 2, and the vehicle-mounted antenna 12 is disposed in the space 8 and is attached to the upper surface of the meter visor 6 by a bracket 15. However, it is also possible to directly attach by an appropriate method such as adhesion without using the bracket 15.

This attachment position enters the front from the extended end 6 a toward the rear of the meter visor 6 and is disposed in the back of the space 8. The extended end 6a is close to the parting line 9 in the deployment range that is the deployment limit of the airbag, and when the airbag 5 is deployed, the airbag 5 expands to the parting line 9 and does not interfere with the extending end 6a.
The mounting position of the vehicle-mounted antenna 12 is the front and upper part of the large motorcycle 1 and can communicate with the gate-side antenna 21 through the wind screen 2 without any obstacles to ensure good communication performance. ing.

FIG. 5 is a diagram showing the mounting state of the vehicle-mounted antenna 12 on the upper surface of the meter visor 6 and the bracket 15. The bracket 15 is formed by press-molding a plate-like member having a substantially square shape, and a groove 16 protruding downward is formed in the central portion. The groove 16 is attached to a position closer to the right side of the upper body of the meter visor 6 by a screw 17. ing. This attachment may be performed by other appropriate methods such as adhesion.

The bracket 15 forms a mounting surface for the vehicle-mounted antenna 12. The in-vehicle antenna 12 is attached to the bracket 15 in a detachable manner by an appropriate method such as adhesion or magnetic force adsorption. This mounting surface is inclined so that the right side portion of the vehicle body is slightly higher. A protrusion 18 is formed to protrude from the end of the outer portion on the right side of the vehicle body with the groove 16 in between. The protrusion 18 is formed in a curl shape to form a stepped portion, and positions one end of the vehicle-mounted antenna 12.

FIG. 6 shows the in-vehicle communication device 10. The in-vehicle communication device 10 is a unit including an in-vehicle device body 11, an in-vehicle antenna 12 and an indicator 13. The vehicle-mounted device main body 11 includes a card reader that can read information on the IC card and a control unit that processes the read information and controls communication, and is disposed at an appropriate place that is not easily tampered with, such as under the seat.

The indicator 13 displays the operating state of the in-vehicle communication device 10 by the light emission of a lamp 13a made of an LED or the like provided at the tip, and is always lit while the in-vehicle communication device 10 is in operation. As shown in the indicator attachment range 14 in FIG. 3, the indicator 13 is attached to a place such as the side of the meter 7 where it is easy to recognize and the light of the indicator 13 that is always lit is not easily reflected on the meter panel 7a.

Next, the operation of this embodiment will be described. When the large motorcycle 1 approaches the ETC gate 20 with the in-vehicle communication device 10 mounted, communication is performed between the in-vehicle antenna 12 and the ground antenna 21 of the ETC gate 20 to transmit and receive predetermined information. Predetermined processing is performed in the main body 11 and the operating state of the in-vehicle communication device 10 is displayed on the indicator 13.

At this time, the vehicle-mounted antenna 12 is disposed in the space 8 between the wind screen 2 and the meter visor 6, and this position is at the front and upper part of the vehicle body, and can communicate without obstacles through the wind screen 2. Can be maintained and can be arranged at the optimum position.

Further, since the space 8 is a dead space-like space, the space 8 can be effectively used as a space where the vehicle-mounted antenna 12 is disposed. And since it is a comparatively large space, arrangement | positioning is easy and can also be retrofitted easily.
In addition, it is in a position that is difficult to see from the occupant side, does not affect the field of view, and does not narrow the field of view of the occupant or affect the visibility of the meter. Moreover, since the meter visor 6 extends obliquely upward in the side view and the vehicle-mounted antenna 12 is drawn from the extended end 6a to the windscreen 2 side, the vehicle-mounted antenna 12 is arranged so as not to enter the passenger's field of view. It is even more certain to do.

In addition, since the vehicle-mounted antenna 12 is provided inside the windscreen 2 so that it does not protrude forward from the vehicle body from the windscreen 2, it does not affect the design even though it is installed at the front and top of the vehicle body where it can be easily seen. Can be.

Further, since the vehicle-mounted antenna 12 is arranged on the meter visor 6 on the front side of the vehicle body from the parting line 9 that becomes the limit when the airbag 5 is deployed, the vehicle-mounted antenna 12 does not interfere even when the airbag 5 is deployed. The vehicle-mounted antenna 12 can be installed at the optimum position even in a vehicle equipped with an airbag.
At this time, the vehicle-mounted antenna 12 is in a position that is deep behind when viewed from the extended end 6a approaching the windscreen 2 and is separated from the parting line 9, so there is no possibility of interference with the airbag 5 during deployment. Arrangement which does not impair development of bag 5 becomes more reliable.
