BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an image pickup apparatus, a strobe control method, and a program for causing a computer to execute the method, and more particularly, to an image pickup apparatus having a strobe function and a face detection function, a strobe control method, and a method thereof. Relates to a program to be executed.
[0002]
[Prior art]
When color photography is performed using a strobe device, a so-called red-eye phenomenon may occur in which the human eye shines red or gold. Such a red-eye phenomenon occurs when the flash of the light emitting part of the electronic flash device that has passed through the pupil of the eye is reflected by the retina and the reflected light is reflected on the film. More specifically, there are many reticulated blood vessels in the retina part of the eye, and the hemoglobin in the blood is red, so that the reflected light appears reddish. Conventionally, in order to prevent red eyes, a technique of performing main light emission after performing red-eye prevention light emission for reducing a human pupil is known.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, a camera equipped with a conventional strobe device has the following various problems. First, when photographing a close-up of a face, there is a problem in that a portion where a strobe light such as a forehead is strongly hit reflects the strobe light and blows out white. Second, because the backlight is determined based on the difference in brightness between the center of the screen and the surroundings, if the person is not in the center of the screen due to backlighting, the flash is not emitted automatically and the flash is emitted. However, there is a problem that it is necessary to switch to the forced light emission mode. Thirdly, in order to prevent red-eye and white-out due to strobe light, there is a problem that the user has to perform red-eye mode switching and strobe light emission operation.
[0004]
The present invention has been made in view of the above, and it is possible to automatically determine whether or not a person is photographed without bothering the user and automatically emit light suitable for person photography. A first object of the present invention is to provide a simple imaging apparatus, a strobe control method, and a program for causing a computer to execute the method.
[0005]
In addition, the present invention has been made in view of the above, and an imaging apparatus capable of automatically preventing red-eye and white-out when photographing a person, a strobe control method, and a computer for executing the method The second object is to provide a program.
[0006]
In addition, the present invention has been made in view of the above, and an imaging apparatus capable of performing backlight-corrected strobe light emission regardless of the position of a person on the screen, a strobe control method, and a computer executing the method.
