By the way, in this type of lighting device, when a pattern such as a character or a pattern is applied to the illumination light, it is desirable to add a sharpness to the illumination light to further improve the decorativeness.

An object of this invention is to provide the illuminating device which can implement | achieve the illumination rich in the decorating property.

An illumination device according to an aspect of the present invention includes a light guide plate having a light emitting surface and a reflective surface facing each other and having an incident surface on at least one side end surface thereof, and a light source facing the incident surface of the light guide plate. a lighting device, on at least one surface of the light emitting surface or the reflection surface of the light guide plate, thereby forming a predetermined pattern by rough, on the light emitting surface of the light guide plate, similarly to the predetermined pattern by the rough surface A light shielding mask having a pattern of is overlaid on the rough surface .

According to the illuminating device of the present invention, it is possible to realize illumination that is rich in decorativeness.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The drawings relate to a first embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a door opening on a driver's seat side of a vehicle, FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view showing a main part of a scuff lighting device, and FIG. FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line II of FIG. 3, and FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view showing a modification of FIG.

In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a vehicle body such as an automobile, and reference numeral 2 denotes a door opening that opens, for example, on a side of the vehicle body 1 on the driver's seat side. A side sill 5 (see FIG. 4) constituting a vehicle body skeleton is disposed at the bottom edge of the door opening 2, and a scuff plate 7 is crowned on the side sill 5.

In the present embodiment, the scuff plate 7 is mainly composed of an elongated sheet metal plate that covers the upper surface of the side sill 5, and as shown in FIG. 4, a gap 15 that can accommodate an illuminating device body 20 described later between the side sill 5. Form.

As shown in FIG. 1, the scuff plate 7 has a stepped portion 7c having an outer surface portion 7a facing the lower end of a door panel (not shown) when the door is opened, and an inner surface portion 7b positioned on the inner side in the vehicle width direction from the outer surface portion 7a. And has an upper surface formed integrally with each other. The outer surface portion 7a of the scuff plate 7 has, for example, a rectangular emission port 10 at a position substantially corresponding to the front portion of the seat 3 disposed in the passenger compartment.

As shown in FIG. 3, the lighting device main body 20 includes a case 21 interposed between the side sill 5 and the scuff plate 7. The case 21 is made of, for example, a flat resin molded product having an open upper surface, and integrally has an LED storage chamber 22 and a light guide chamber 23 therein.

Specifically, in the present embodiment, the LED storage chamber 22 has, for example, a substantially rectangular shape in plan view that is long in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body 1 and is set in a region in the case 21 that is closer to the inside in the vehicle width direction. Yes. Further, the light guide chamber 23 is set adjacent to the LED storage chamber 22 in an area closer to the vehicle width direction outside in the case 21.

A pair of substrate holding grooves 22 a facing each other are formed at both ends in the longitudinal direction of the LED housing chamber 22 by flat plate-like protrusions 22 b protruding from the front and rear side walls of the case 21. The substrate holding groove 22a includes, for example, a light source unit 30 mounted on an LED substrate 32 using a plurality of (for example, four) surface-mounted light emitting diodes (hereinafter referred to as LEDs) 31 that emit blue light as light sources. It is held in the LED storage chamber 22. Further, a protrusion 22c as a light shielding wall extending in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body 1 along the boundary with the light guide chamber 23 is provided in the LED accommodating chamber 22 so as to protrude from the bottom surface of the case 21 (see FIGS. 2 and 3). ). And this protrusion 22c opposes the lower part of the output surface of each LED31, and restrict | limits the light which injects into the light guide chamber 23 reflected in the bottom face of the case 21 among the emitted light from LED31 indirectly. It is supposed to be.

On the other hand, a reflecting plate 35 and a light guide plate 36 are accommodated in the light guide chamber 23 in an overlapping manner.
For example, the reflection plate 35 is formed of a metal plate having a substantially rectangular shape in plan view that is substantially the same shape as the light guide chamber 23, and at least the upper surface 35 a side is mirror-finished.

The light guide plate 36 is made of, for example, a flat transparent acrylic plate having a substantially rectangular shape in plan view that is substantially the same shape as the light guide chamber 23. The top and bottom surfaces of the light guide plate 36 facing each other are set as a light emitting surface 36a and a reflecting surface 36b, respectively, and among the four side end surfaces in contact with the light emitting surface 36a and the reflecting surface 36b, the inner side in the vehicle width direction. The side end surface facing the LED 31 is set as the incident surface 36c.

As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, in the present embodiment, a predetermined pattern is formed on the light emitting surface 36 a of the light guide plate 36 by the rough surface 37 at a position corresponding to the exit 10 of the scuff plate 7. In addition, a light shielding mask 38 having a predetermined pattern associated with the pattern of the rough surface 37 is provided. Specifically, on the light emitting surface 36 a of the light guide plate 36, for example, three concave portions 39 shaped like the letter “A” are provided, and on each concave portion 39, a rough surface composed of fine irregularities. 37 is formed (see FIGS. 2 to 4). Further, in each of the recesses 39, for example, a light shielding mask 38 in the shape of the letter “A” is disposed so as to overlap the rough surface 37.

In such a configuration, each LED 31 is controlled to be lighted in conjunction with opening and closing of a door panel (not shown) of the vehicle body 1. That is, for example, a lighting circuit (not shown) of each LED 31 is connected to a door switch that is turned on / off in conjunction with opening and closing of the door panel, and when the door switch is turned on by opening the door panel, The lighting circuit supplies power from a battery or the like to each LED 31.

As shown in FIG. 4, when the LED 31 is turned on, the emitted light enters the light guide plate 36 from the incident surface 36c, and is emitted from the light emitting surface 36a through reflection by the reflecting surface 36b. Thereby, the light emission surface 36a of the light guide plate 36 emits planar light.

At that time, a part of the light emitted from the light emitting surface 36 a is shielded by the light shielding mask 38. Thereby, a decoration pattern (decoration character) is formed in illumination light.

Further, when a part of the light traveling in the light guide plate 36 is irregularly reflected by the rough surface 37, most of the irregularly reflected light is reflected by the reflective surface 36 b and is emitted from the light emitting surface 36 a near the light shielding mask 38. Exit. Thereby, the periphery of the light shielding mask 38 is emphasized, and the decorativeness is improved. That is, part of the illumination light is emphasized in association with the pattern formed by the light shielding mask 38 by the irregular reflection of the rough surface 37.

Further, the light shielding mask 38 is reflected on the mirror-finished upper surface 35 a (opposing surface) of the reflection plate 35 disposed along the reflection surface 36 b of the light guide plate 36. Thereby, it becomes possible to make a user recognize a decoration pattern in three dimensions.

Moreover, by making the protrusion 22c oppose the lower part of the emission surface of each LED 31, it reflects in the bottom face of the case 21 among the emitted light from LED31, and injects into the light guide chamber 23 (light guide plate 36) indirectly. Light is blocked. Thereby, when the illumination light is planarly emitted from the light emitting surface 36a, excessive light that disturbs the light distribution is prevented from entering the light guide plate 36, and the occurrence of unnecessary luminance unevenness is suppressed.

Here, as shown in FIG. 5, in the present embodiment, it is possible to form a tapered surface 39 a on the periphery of the pattern formed by the rough surface 37 and the light shielding mask 38, for example, by the side wall of the recess 39. is there. With such a configuration, a part of the light traveling in the light guide plate 36 can be diffusely reflected by the tapered surface 39a and emitted. Therefore, the amount of light emitted from the tapered surface 39a on the light emitting surface 36a can be increased as compared with other regions, and the peripheral portion of the pattern is emphasized to improve the decorativeness.

Next, FIGS. 6 to 8 relate to the second embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 6 is an exploded perspective view showing the main part of the scuff lighting device, and FIG. 7 is a plan view showing the main part of the scuff lighting device except for the scuff plate. 8 and 8 are sectional views taken along line II-II in FIG. Note that the present embodiment is mainly different from the first embodiment in that a rough surface is formed on the reflection surface 36b instead of the light emitting surface 36a. In addition, about the same structure, a same sign is attached | subjected and description is abbreviate | omitted.

As shown in FIGS. 6 to 8, in the present embodiment, on the reflective surface 36 b of the light guide plate 36, for example, a concave portion 50 shaped like a mirror image of the letter “A” is provided at a position facing each light shielding mask 38. On the surface of each recess 50, a rough surface 51 made of fine irregularities is formed.

In such a configuration, the light traveling in the light guide plate 36 is irregularly reflected by the rough surface 51, so that the formation region of the rough surface 51 on the reflective surface 36b is visually recognized as if it is emitting light. Accordingly, the three-dimensional effect of the pattern is increased and the decorativeness is improved.

In the present embodiment, for example, minute steps are periodically formed on the reflecting plate 35. That is, a predetermined design is formed on the upper surface 35a of the reflecting plate 35 by a minute step. The behavior of the light traveling in the light guide plate 36 is regularly changed by the step of the reflecting plate 35, so that regular luminance unevenness can be generated in the illumination light emitted from the light emitting surface 36a. The decorativeness is further improved.

Here, as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, in the present embodiment, the incident surface 36 c of the light guide plate 36 has a plurality of protruding pieces that protrude toward the LED housing chamber 22 at positions that avoid facing the LEDs 31. 36d is provided. In order to avoid interference with the convex pieces 36d, the protrusions 22c provided in the LED housing chamber 22 are formed discontinuously. The tip of each convex piece 36d is set to abut on the LED substrate 32 in the LED accommodating chamber 22, and the LED substrate 32 receives heat from each LED 31 by the abutment of the convex piece 36d. Even in this case, thermal deformation is suppressed.

Needless to say, the lighting device may be configured by appropriately combining the configurations shown in the above-described embodiments.

Further, the pattern formed on the light-shielding mask or the rough surface is not limited to characters, and may of course be various designs. Furthermore, the light-shielding mask and the rough surface pattern do not necessarily have to coincide with each other, and high decorativeness can be realized if the pattern is associated with a predetermined pattern.

In each of the above-described embodiments, an example in which the lighting device of the present invention is applied as a scuff lighting device for a vehicle has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and for example, a lighting device for a house nameplate Of course, the present invention can also be applied.

Further, the light source of the lighting device is not limited to the surface mount type LED, and the emission color can be arbitrarily selected. In this case, instead of a configuration in which a plurality of light sources having a single emission color are arranged opposite to the incident surface of the light guide plate, a plurality of light sources having different emission colors are arranged opposite to the incident surface of the light guide plate to emit light. Of course, the color of the illumination light may be changed according to the position of the surface.
