Description
本発明は通信システム内の移動性に関する。特に、本発明はワイヤレス通信システムのサービィングネットワーク内のアンカーポイントをある位置から他の位置にトランスペアレントに再配置する方法および装置に関する。
ワイヤレス通信システムにおいて分散サービィングネットワークを使用することは、“ワイヤレスデータ通信用の分散インフラストラクチャ”と題する米国特許出願第‘09/158,047号に開示されており、この米国特許出願は本発明の出願人により出願され、参照によりここに組み込まれている。先の出願は通信分散サービィングネットワークを説明しており、このネットワークでは単一の制御ポイントが存在するのではなく、通信システムのサービィングネットワーク全体を通して分散された複数の制御ポイントが存在している。
Claims (12)
- 別の制御装置エンティティと、アクセスターミナルと、ルータとを備える通信システム中で動作可能な制御装置エンティティにおいて、
前記制御装置エンティティは、前記アクセスターミナルと前記ルータとの間で交換されるデータパケットに対するアンカーポイントとして最初に機能し、
前記制御装置エンティティは、
第1のメッセージを前記別の制御装置エンティティに送る手段と、
第2のメッセージを前記ルータに送る手段とを具備し、
前記第1のメッセージは、前記別の制御装置エンティティによってリソースを割り当てるためのネットワークインターフェース関連情報を含み、
前記第2のメッセージは、前記制御装置エンティティに向けられているデータパケットを前記制御装置エンティティにもはや送るべきでないことを前記ルータに知らせる制御装置エンティティ。 - 前記アクセスターミナルと前記ルータとの間で交換されるデータパケットに対する前記アンカーポイントとしての、前記制御装置エンティティの割り当てを解除する手段をさらに具備する請求項1記載の制御装置エンティティ。
- 前記通信システムは、前記ルータに結合されているサービス装置をさらに備え、
前記割り当てを解除する手段は、前記サービス装置に知らせずに、前記アンカーポイントとしての、前記制御装置エンティティの割り当てを解除する手段を備える請求項2記載の制御装置エンティティ。 - 別の制御装置エンティティと、アクセスターミナルと、ルータとを備える通信システム中で動作可能な制御装置エンティティにおいて、
前記別の制御装置エンティティは、前記アクセスターミナルと前記ルータとの間で交換されるデータパケットに対するアンカーとして最初に機能し、
前記制御装置エンティティは、
ネットワークインターフェース関連情報を含む第1のメッセージを、前記別の制御装置から受け取る手段と、
受け取ったネットワークインターフェース関連情報にしたがって、前記アンカーのローカルコピーを生成させるために、リソースを割り当てる手段と、
前記別の制御装置エンティティに向けられている宛先アドレスを有するデータパケットを前記制御装置エンティティに送ることができることを前記ルータに知らせる第2のメッセージを、前記ルータに送る手段とを具備する制御装置エンティティ。 - 前記制御装置との通信のために、その無線リンクプロトコル(RLP)およびワイヤレスレイヤー2レイヤーをリセットすることを要求する第3のメッセージを、前記アクセスターミナルに送る手段をさらに具備する請求項4記載の制御装置エンティティ。
- 前記通信システムは、前記ルータに結合されているサービス装置をさらに備え、
前記制御装置エンティティは、前記サービス装置に知らせずに、前記アクセスターミナルとの通信を確立した後、前記アンカーポイントとしての前記別の制御装置エンティティを置換する手段をさらに具備する請求項5記載の制御装置エンティティ。 - 別の制御装置エンティティと、アクセスターミナルと、ルータとを備える通信システム中で動作可能な制御装置エンティティによってアンカーポイントを再配置する方法において、
前記制御装置エンティティは、最初に、前記アクセスターミナルと前記ルータとの間で交換されるデータパケットに対する前記アンカーポイントとして機能し、
前記方法は、
第1のメッセージを前記別の制御装置エンティティに送ることと、
第2のメッセージを前記ルータに送ることとを含み、
前記第1のメッセージは、前記別の制御装置エンティティによってリソースを割り当てるためのネットワークインターフェース関連情報を含み、
前記第2のメッセージは、前記制御装置エンティティに向けられているデータパケットを前記制御装置エンティティにもはや送るべきでないことを前記ルータに知らせる方法。 - 前記アクセスターミナルと前記ルータとの間で交換されるデータパケットに対する前記アンカーポイントとしての、前記制御装置エンティティの割り当てを解除することをさらに含む請求項7記載の方法。
- 前記通信システムは、前記ルータに結合されているサービス装置をさらに備え、
前記割り当てを解除することは、前記サービス装置に知らせずに、前記アンカーポイントとしての前記制御装置エンティティの割り当てを解除することを含む請求項8記載の方法。 - 別の制御装置エンティティと、アクセスターミナルと、ルータとを備える通信システム中で動作可能な制御装置エンティティによってアンカーポイントを再配置する方法において、
前記別の制御装置エンティティは、前記アクセスターミナルと前記ルータとの間で交換されるデータパケットに対する前記アンカーポイントとして最初に機能し、
前記方法は、
ネットワークインターフェース関連情報を含む第1のメッセージを、前記別の制御装置エンティティから受け取ることと、
受け取ったネットワークインターフェース関連情報にしたがって、前記アンカーポイントのローカルコピーを生成させるために、リソースを割り当てることと、
前記別の制御装置エンティティに向けられている宛先アドレスを有するデータパケットを前記制御装置エンティティに送ることができることを前記ルータに知らせる第2のメッセージを、前記ルータに送ることとを含む方法。 - 前記制御装置エンティティとの通信のために、その無線リンクプロトコル(RLP)およびワイヤレスレイヤー2レイヤーをリセットすることを要求する第3のメッセージを、前記アクセスターミナルに送ることをさらに含む請求項10記載の方法。
- 前記通信システムは、前記ルータに結合されているサービス装置をさらに備え、
前記方法は、前記サービス装置に知らせずに、前記アクセスターミナルとの通信を確立した後、前記アンカーポイントとしての前記別の制御装置エンティティを置換することをさらに含む請求項11記載の方法。
