Claims (22)
- 筒状要素の先端を患者の身体の一領域内に配置することに使用される検出装置であって、
空洞を有する本体と、プランジャとを備え、前記空洞は、流体を収容するための流体室と、出口とを有し、この出口を通って流体が配送可能であり、またこの出口に対して前記筒状要素は接続され、前記プランジャは、シャフトを備え、流体が、前記プランジャを引き抜くときに前記流体室内に引き込まれ、また前記プランジャを押し込んだときに前記流体室から放出されるように、前記空洞内に移動可能に配設された、配送ユニットと、
前記プランジャの前記シャフトを中心とした周囲に同軸的に配置されたバネ要素を備え、前記筒状要素の先端が前記領域内に配置され、前記筒状要素の先端からの流体の流れに対する抵抗よりもバイアス力が大きいときに、前記配送ユニットが前記筒状要素から流体を配送するように、前記流体室に収容される任意の体積の流体に対して実質的に一定のバイアス力を維持するよう前記プランジャをバイアスするバイアスユニットとを備える
ことを特徴とする装置。 - 前記バネ要素は、圧縮バネを備えるものであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記バイアスユニットは、前記配送ユニットに結合された本体と、この本体に対して移動可能に配設されて、前記プランジャに前記バイアス力を加える駆動部材とを備える請求項1又は2に記載の装置。
- 前記駆動部材は、前記配送ユニットに結合され、流体が以後の配送のために配送ユニット内へ引き込まれることを可能にする請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記流体室は、前記本体の空洞と前記プランジャとによって規定される請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記配送ユニットは、可変容積型の容器を有し、この容器は、前記空洞内に配設されて前記流体室を規定するものである請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記筒状要素は、針要素であり、前記プランジャは、シャフトを有し、このシャフトは、針ユニットの針要素を収容するための長尺な空洞をその中に有し、前記針ユニットの針要素は、この装置と共に使用されるために取り外し可能であることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 針ユニットを更に備え、この針ユニットは、針要素と、この針要素に取り付けられたコネクタ要素とを有し、前記コネクタ要素は、前記プランジャの前記シャフトとの接続を与えるように構成され、前記針要素は、前記プランジャの前記シャフトの空洞内に収容される請求項7に記載の装置。
- 前記プランジャは、配送チャネルと、バルブユニットとを有し、前記配送チャネルは、その前端まで延びて、前記プランジャを通って前記本体の前記出口への物質の配送を可能にするものであり、前記バルブユニットは、前記配送チャネルを通って前記本体の前記出口への物質の一方向の配送だけを可能とするものである請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記配送ユニットは、シリンジ又は抵抗消失(LOR)シリンジを備える請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記配送ユニットは、交換可能なように、前記バイアスユニットから分離可能である請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記バイアスユニットと前記配送ユニットは、一体型ユニットを構成する請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記バイアス力は、前記流体を約8.5lbin −2 未満の圧力に維持するものである請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記バイアス力は、前記流体を約0.5lbin −2 から約8.5lbin −2 までの圧力に維持するものである請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記バイアス力は、前記流体を約0.5lbin −2 から約5.66lbin −2 までの圧力に維持するものである請求項14に記載の装置。
- 前記バイアス力は、前記流体を約2.0lbin −2 から約5.66lbin −2 までの圧力に維持するものである請求項15に記載の装置。
- 前記バイアス力は、前記流体を約2.0lbin −2 から約3.5lbin −2 までの圧力に維持するものである請求項16に記載の装置。
- 前記配送ユニットは、可変容積の流体室を有して、流体の収容体積をユーザが選択できるようにする請求項1〜17のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記配送ユニットには所定体積の流体が予め充填されている請求項1〜17のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 少なくとも1mlの流体の配送を可能にするように構成されている請求項1〜19のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記筒状要素は、針であることを特徴とする請求項1〜20のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記領域は、硬膜外空間および腹膜空洞の一方であることを特徴とする請求項1〜21のいずれかに記載の装置。
