本発明は、新規なゴキブリ用フラッシングアウト剤に関する。

【従来の技術】
ゴキブリのようなふだんは人の目につかない物陰に潜んでいる害虫を駆除する場合、エアゾール剤を噴霧したり、燻蒸剤で燻したりすることが行われている。これらの製剤にピレスロイド系殺虫剤が配合されている場合には、ゴキブリが物陰から飛び出してくる現象(フラッシングアウト)がみられることが知られている。そしてこの現象によりゴキブリが殺虫剤と接触する機会が増えて殺虫効果を高めることができる。そのため物陰が多い厨房設備、自動販売機、食品倉庫などでゴキブリを駆除する際に、重要な作用の一つとして認識されている。

一方、ピレスロイド系殺虫剤を多用するとゴキブリが抵抗性を発達させ、その結果十分なフラッシングアウト、殺虫効果を得ることができないことがある。ところがこの現象はピレスロイド系殺虫剤に独特のもので、有機リン系やカーバメイト系殺虫剤にはみられず、その他に有効な薬剤は知られていない。そのためピレスロイド系殺虫剤に代わる有効な薬剤の開発が望まれている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明は、上記のごとき現状を鑑みてなされたものであり、ピレスロイド系殺虫剤に代わる、ゴキブリに対してフラッシングアウトを引起こす新規な薬剤を提供することを目的とするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明者は上記の課題を満足するために鋭意検討した結果、ある種の精油成分又は芳香成分がゴキブリに対してフラッシングアウトを引起こすことを見出し本発明に至った。すなわち本発明は以下の薬剤を用いたゴキブリをフラッシングアウトさせる方法である。
(1)シンナミックアルデヒド、ヘリオナール、シトロネラール、フェニルエチルアルコール、エストラゴール、ジャスモン、アントラニル酸メチル、ベンジルアルコール、フェニルプロピルアルコール、アニスアルデヒド、ヒドロキシシトロネラール、ヘディオン、フローラルオゾン及びリリアールから選ばれる1種又は2種以上を用いてゴキブリをフラッシングアウトさせる方法。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明においてフラッシングアウト有効成分としては、シトロネラール、ヒドロキシシトロネラール等で例示されるテルペン系アルデヒド;アニスアルデヒド、フェニルアセトアルデヒド、シンナミックアルデヒド、リリアール、ヘリオナール、フローラルオゾン(floralozone)等で例示される芳香環を有するアルデヒド;ベンジルアルコール、フェニルエチルアルコール、フェニルプロピルアルコール、フェニルブチルアルコール等で例示される芳香環を有するアルコール;リグストラール、ジャスモン、ヘディオン等で例示される環状ケトン;アントラニル酸メチル、アントラニル酸エチル等で例示されるアントラニル酸エステル;エストラゴール等で例示されるフェノールが挙げられ、これらは単独又は2種以上を組合せて用いることができる。

これらの中でも、シトロネラール、シンナミックアルデヒド、ヘリオナール、ベンジルアルコール、フェニルエチルアルコール、フェニルプロピルアルコール、エストラゴール、ジャスモン、アントラニル酸メチルが、フラッシングアウトに優れているので好ましい。

本発明のゴキブリ用フラッシングアウト剤(以下、フラッシングアウト剤とも言う)は、適切な担体、噴射剤、添加剤等を用いて各種の製剤とすることができ、例えば、エアゾール剤、全量噴射型エアゾール剤、スプレー剤、燻蒸剤、燻煙剤、蒸散剤、液剤、乳剤、塗布剤、吸液芯用液剤等として用いることができ、エアゾール、全量噴射型エアゾール剤、スプレー剤、液剤、乳剤が有効成分を適切な大きさの液滴として使用でき効果に優れることから好ましい。

これらの製剤とするには、水、アルコール類、ペンタン類、パラフィン類、グリコール類等の液体担体;無機粉体、有機粉体等の固体担体;液化ガス、圧縮ガス等の噴射剤;界面活性剤、増粘剤、酸化防止剤、皮膜形成剤等の添加剤を用いて調製すればよい。

そして製剤において有効成分の含有量としては、製剤全量に対して0.1〜20重量%、さらには0.5〜20重量%とすればよい。

また必要に応じて製剤に、殺虫剤、殺菌(防黴)剤、芳香剤、消臭剤等を含有させて用いてもよい。

本発明のフラッシングアウト剤は、厨房設備、食品倉庫等で燻蒸、蒸散したり、自動販売機、食器棚の隙間に噴霧して用いるのに適している。

以下に実施例によって本発明をさらに詳しく説明するが、本発明はこれらに限定されるものではない。

フラッシングアウトの評価
(1)試験方法
供試薬剤を2.5%含有したエタノール溶液を調製し、その50mlを空気で加圧してスプレー剤とした。そしてベニヤ板で作った試験箱(一片5cm、高さ15cmの三角柱、柱の一端をベニヤ板で密封した)にチャバネゴキブリ雌成虫10頭を入れガーゼをかぶせて輪ゴムで止めた。この試験箱を12時間静置した後、図1に概略を示すように、直径20cm、高さ55cmの円筒中に試験箱を垂直に立てて置き、60cmの高さからスプレー剤を2秒間(約1g)噴霧した。噴霧した後、円筒を取り除き、経時的に試験箱から飛び出してくるチャバネゴキブリの数を計数した。比較例として、供試薬剤を3種のピレスロイド系殺虫剤2.5%に代えたスプレー剤を用いて、同様の試験を行った。

(2)試験結果
試験結果は表1に記載した。本発明のフラッシングアウト剤である精油成分又は芳香成分は、噴霧して30秒後には飛び出しがみられ、フラッシングアウトに優れていた。その効果はいずれも比較例に用いたピレスロイド系殺虫剤を上回るものであった。
