Description

The present invention relates to a method for producing an unbleached liner having little fading and yellowing change, that is, excellent weather resistance, and an unbleached liner obtained by the production method.

The corrugated cardboard is composed of a corrugated core and two liners (exterior liner and interior liner) that sandwich the core. The liners mainly consist of unbleached liners that use raw pulp made from unbleached pulp (the color of unbleached pulp is a tea color) as the main material and bleached pulp (the color of bleached pulp is white). The raw material pulp is roughly classified into a white liner used for the surface layer.

Usually, such liners, especially exterior liners, are used on the outside of cardboard boxes and the like, and are often directly exposed to fluorescent lamps and sunlight for a long time. However, since unbleached pulp contains a lot of lignin, an unbleached liner that uses a lot of unbleached pulp causes the lignin to be oxidized by light and cause bleaching or yellowing of the unbleached liner. There was a problem of poor weather resistance. White liners contain a lot of bleached pulp with a lower lignin content than unbleached liners, and various methods have been proposed to add a dye directly to the raw pulp to prevent deterioration of the weather resistance of the liner. Yes.

In recent years, liners have been used not only in white cardboard boxes but also in brown cardboard boxes so that stored items can attract consumers' attention and give a good impression. However, if the weather resistance of the unbleached liner is poor in this way, even if the appearance of the unbleached liner is beautiful at first, the time to be exposed to light becomes longer. As a result, yellowing of the unbleached liner progressed and the appearance deteriorated.

Therefore, in order to reduce the amount of lignin that caused the deterioration of weather resistance, for example, as shown in Patent Document 1, an unbleached liner using a raw pulp with an increased amount of waste paper pulp has been proposed. Yes.

However, when the amount of waste paper pulp is increased, it is necessary to increase the amount of dye added to obtain the same color tone as when the previous raw bleached pulp is used as the main raw material. In many cases, sexual dyes are used to fix to pulp in a short time. When an unbleached liner with a large amount of basic dye added is directly exposed to fluorescent lamps or sunlight for a long time, the basic dye is decomposed by light, and the unbleached liner is stored or stored after corrugated cardboard packaging. Occasionally, bleaching or yellowing of the unbleached liner was caused, that is, the weather resistance of the unbleached liner was deteriorated. In addition, an increase in the amount of basic dye added causes a problem of uneven color tone of the unbleached liner, which further deteriorates the appearance of the unbleached liner.
JP 2000-336590 A

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and the object thereof is obtained by a method for producing an unbleached liner having little fading and yellowing, that is, having excellent weather resistance, and a method for producing the same. Is to provide an unbleached liner.

The above object of the present invention is to provide an unbleached liner having at least two paper layers, a surface layer and a back layer, so that the waste paper pulp has the surface layer so that the kappa number of the raw material pulp of the surface layer is 35 to 45. It is blended at a high rate in the raw material pulp, and paper is made by adding an azo-based direct dye to at least the raw material pulp of the surface layer , and J-TAPPI No. This is achieved by providing a method for producing an unbleached liner characterized in that the color difference ΔE value after 5 hours based on No. 21 is 3.0 or less .

According to the method for producing an unbleached liner according to the present invention and the unbleached liner obtained by the production method, it is possible to obtain an unbleached liner by adding a dye directly to at least the raw material pulp to be used for the surface layer and making paper. The occurrence of fading and yellowing of the exposed unbleached liner can be reduced, that is, the weather resistance of the unbleached liner can be improved, and the beautiful appearance of the unbleached liner can be maintained.

Hereinafter, a method for producing an unbleached liner according to the present invention (hereinafter referred to as “the present production method”) and an unbleached liner produced by the production method (hereinafter referred to as “the present unbleached liner”). An example in which the unbleached liner has two paper layers, a front layer and a back layer, will be described in detail.

This production method is a method of making paper by adding a dye directly to the raw material pulp of the surface layer.

The weather resistance of the unbleached liner can be improved by adding a dye directly to the raw material pulp of the surface layer. That is, even if the unbleached liner is directly exposed to a fluorescent lamp or sunlight for a long time, the beautiful appearance of the unbleached liner can be maintained because there is little occurrence of fading and yellowing.

As the direct dye, various known direct dyes such as azo dyes, diallyl urea derivatives, cyanuric chloride derivatives, stilbene derivatives, thiazole derivatives and metal complex salts can be added. Among these, the addition of an azo dye is particularly preferable because the weather resistance of the unbleached liner can be most improved. In addition, these direct dyes may add only 1 type, but may add 2 or more types.

As the azo dye, for example, a stilbenzoazo dye, a diazo dye having a urea bond, or an azo dye using a coupling component, a diamine diphenylamine azo dye, a continuous azo polyazo dye, a polyazo dye, a thiazole azo dye, or the like is known. Various azo dyes can be used. These azo dyes may be used alone or in combination of two or more.

In this production method, the raw material pulp used for the surface layer is adjusted so that the kappa number based on JIS-P8211 is 50 or less, preferably 35 to 45. In addition, since the quantity of lignin contained in a pulp will increase when the copper number of raw material pulp exceeds 50, as shown in the Example mentioned later, the weather resistance of an unbleached liner deteriorates.

As the raw material pulp used for the surface layer, various known pulps such as waste paper pulp, unbleached mechanical pulp, chemical wood pulp, and chemical non-wood pulp can be used. In addition, although these raw material pulps may be used independently, you may mix and use 2 or more types.

Of the raw material pulps described above, when waste paper pulp is blended at a high rate in the raw material pulp, the raw pulp can be easily adjusted to have a copper number of 50 or less. Weather resistance can be further improved. The raw material of waste paper pulp is not particularly limited. For example, upper white, card, special white, medium white, imitation, white Manila, tea imitation, color, cardboard, newspaper, magazine, ticket, medium anti-old, mount Well-known various things, such as a land ticket, can be used. These raw paper pulp materials may be used alone or in combination of two or more.

The present production method and the unbleached liner obtain the desired effect of the present invention as long as the dye is directly added to the raw pulp used for at least the surface layer and the raw pulp has a kappa value of 50 or less. be able to. Therefore, a dye may be added to the raw material pulp used for the back layer, but it may not be added. In addition, when adding dye, since the kind of dye is not specifically limited, well-known various dyes, such as a basic dye and a direct dye, can be added.

In addition, since the raw material pulp used for the back layer is not particularly limited, for example, chemical pulp such as coniferous kraft pulp (NKP), hardwood kraft pulp (LKP), ground pulp (GP), thermomechanical pulp ( Various raw material pulps such as mechanical pulp such as TMP), deinked pulp, waste paper pulp, or non-wood pulp such as kenaf, bamboo, hemp, straw, bagasse, synthetic pulp, etc. can be used. In order to protect forest resources and to solve the problem of excess paper waste that has become a social problem in recent years, it is preferable to mix waste paper pulp at a high rate. In addition, although these raw material pulps may be used independently, you may mix and use 2 or more types.

Moreover, you may add an internal additive chemical | medical agent in the raw material pulp of a surface layer and a back layer as needed. Examples of the internally added chemicals include various known ones such as a sulfuric acid band, a pH adjuster, a paper strength enhancer, a sizing agent, a water resistant agent, a drainage retention improver, and an antifoaming agent. In addition, these internal additive chemicals may be added alone or in combination of two or more.

In addition, as long as the above-mentioned raw material pulp is used, the paper making method of paper making in this production method is not particularly limited, so that any of acid paper making method, neutral paper making method, alkaline paper making method, etc. good. Also, the paper machine is not particularly limited, and various known paper machines such as a long net paper machine, a twin wire paper machine, a circular net paper machine, and a Yankee paper machine can be appropriately used.

Further, when the surface of the unbleached liner is smoothed in the paper making process, an unbleached liner having a more beautiful appearance can be obtained. Such smoothing processing is performed by various known smoothing processing devices such as an on-machine or off-machine super calendar, gloss calendar, soft calendar, roughening calendar, etc. according to the required quality. Further, the form of the pressure device, the number of pressure nips, heating, and the like are appropriately adjusted according to a normal smoothing device.

The unbleached liner produced by the production method as described above is J-TAPPI No. The color difference ΔE value after 5 hours based on No. 21 is 3.0 or less. Therefore, the unbleached liner has little fading and yellowing, that is, has excellent weather resistance.

As described above, the method for producing an unbleached liner according to the present invention and the unbleached liner obtained by the production method have been described in detail for the case where the unbleached liner has two paper layers, a front layer and a back layer. Can be applied not only to unbleached liners having two paper layers, but also to unbleached liners having, for example, three layers of the surface layer, front and lower layers and back layer, or four or more paper layers. If the dye is directly added to the surface layer raw material pulp and the kappa number of the surface layer raw material pulp is adjusted to 50 or less, the desired effect of the present invention can be obtained.

In addition, the raw pulp not only when the unbleached liner is composed of two or more layers but also when it is composed of a single layer, is directly added with a dye and is adjusted so that the kappa number is 50 or less. The desired effect of the present invention can be obtained by making a paper sheet using.

Hereinafter, in order to confirm the effect of the unbleached liner according to the present invention, the following samples were prepared and tested for evaluating weather resistance. In addition, this invention is not limited to this Example.

The unbleached liner according to the present invention (this is referred to as “sample”) and two types of unbleached liners for comparison with this sample (referred to as “Comparative Sample 1” and “Comparative Sample 2”). ).

[Sample] 60% NCC (Western Dan) and 40% NUKP (unbleached kraft pulp) are used as the surface pulp, and the pulp slurry is adjusted so that the kappa number based on JIS-P8211 is 45 did. A dye was directly added to the pulp slurry to produce an unbleached liner to obtain a sample.

[Comparative Sample 1] As the surface layer pulp, NCC 40% and NUKP 60% were blended, and the pulp slurry was adjusted so that the kappa number based on JIS-P8211 was 54. It is an unbleached liner obtained by adding a direct dye to this pulp slurry and making paper.

[Comparative Sample 2] As the surface layer pulp, NCC 35% and NUKP 65% were blended, and the pulp slurry was adjusted so that the kappa number based on JIS-P8211 was 56. It is an unbleached liner obtained by adding a basic dye to this pulp slurry and making paper as in the sample.

Each of these samples and the comparative sample are adjusted with a dye regardless of the color tone of the raw pulp used for the original surface layer so that the color tone of the surface thereof is almost the same.

The results of evaluating the weather resistance of all these samples and comparative samples are as shown in Table 1.

The weather resistance was evaluated by the following method. First, the L value, a value, and b value of the unbleached liner surface of each sample and comparative sample were measured using a color difference meter SC-10WN (manufactured by Suga Test Instruments).

(式)ΔE=(ΔL+Δa+Δb1/2
The surface of the unbleached liner of each sample and comparative sample was irradiated for 5 hours at an irradiation temperature of 63 ° C. using a xenon fade meter. The L value, a value, and b value after irradiation for 0.5 hour, 3 hours, and 5 hours are measured. The measured value and the previously measured L value, a value, and b value before irradiation were applied to the following equation to calculate the ΔE value. Using this ΔE value as an indicator of weather resistance, the smaller this ΔE value, the better the weather resistance.
(Expression) ΔE = (ΔL 2 + Δa 2 + Δb 2 ) 1/2
Here, ΔL, Δa, and Δb are differences between the L value, the a value, and the b value before and after irradiation with the xenon fade meter.

Figure 0004803783

From Table 1, as a raw material pulp for the surface layer, a pulp slurry adjusted to have a kappa value of 50 or less is used, and an unbleached liner made by adding a dye directly to this pulp slurry and having a paper made by a xenon fade meter It can be seen that the ΔE value can be reduced to 3.0 or less even after irradiation for a long time, and fading and yellowing of the unbleached liner can be reduced, that is, the weather resistance is improved.
