Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a coupling device for connecting hoses such as a fire hose and a liquid transport hose to each other or connecting a hose and a pump or other equipment. If this invention is specified further, this invention relates to the coupling device comprised from a pair of coupling device main body of the same structure without sex distinction.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, there are plug-in fittings for hoses such as fire hose, and such plug-in fittings have a structure in which a pair of coupling fitting bodies are engaged and locked together in the axial direction. Is. Such a plug-in type coupling metal fitting is specified in, for example, Japanese Industrial Standard JIS B 9911. Such a coupling metal fitting is referred to as a “machino-type metal fitting” and is widely used.
[0003]
Such plug-in type fittings can be coupled and uncoupled with a simple device, and have favorable characteristics as a fitting for fire fighting hoses that require quick and reliable operation.
[0004]
However, the conventional plug-type fittings have a male / female distinction between the pair of fittings to be joined. One is a male fitting and the other is a female fitting. Can not. For this reason, for example, during fire extinguishing work, when a plurality of fire hoses are extended and joined together, there is a possibility that the fire hoses may be accidentally extended so that male fittings or female fittings correspond to each other. It is preferable to eliminate such a possibility from the viewpoint of speed of operation and certainty. In addition, the conventional coupling metal has to be manufactured with two types of metal fittings, ie, a male fitting and a female fitting, which have different structures.
[0005]
Therefore, the present applicant has developed a coupling metal fitting composed of a pair of coupling metal bodies having the same structure without distinction between males and females, which solves the problem of the insertion-type coupling metal fitting as described above, for example, Japanese Patent No. 3107507. It is registered as a number.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in Japanese Patent No. 3107507, a solid metal material such as aluminum is formed by cutting such as a 4-axis machining center. Therefore, although it is excellent in strength, there is a situation that it is heavy and material costs and processing costs increase.
[0007]
The present invention has been made by paying attention to the above circumstances, and the object thereof is to distinguish between males and females and to be composed of a pair of coupling device bodies having the same structure, and to be arbitrarily combined without distinguishing between males and females. Further, the present invention provides a coupling device that can be coupled and uncoupled easily, is lightweight and easy to handle, and can significantly reduce material costs and processing costs.
[0008]
