Conventionally, a golf ball trajectory measuring device using a CCD camera has been proposed. Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2003-42716 discloses a ball trajectory that includes at least two CCD cameras installed behind the hitting position and in front of the target position, and a calculation unit that calculates the position coordinates of the ball using a triangulation method. Disclose measurement measures.
Japanese Patent No. 2953672 discloses a golf apparatus that measures the initial velocity of a golf ball using a radar and estimates a carry distance from the measured initial velocity of the ball. A measurement apparatus using a radar is used as a means for detecting a distance to an object, a speed of the object, and the like. As radar types, laser radar, millimeter wave radar, and the like are used. Among them, the millimeter wave radar is used in several fields because it is not easily affected by bad weather such as rain and fog. Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2004-227111 discloses a security system that detects an intruder using a millimeter wave radar. Measuring devices that measure the trajectory with a camera are susceptible to the effects of weather, such as rain and fog, and the brightness. Millimeter wave radar enables measurement that is hardly affected by the weather. Furthermore, the millimeter wave radar enables measurement at night without illumination. However, it has been found that the ball trajectory and flight distance of the ball cannot be accurately measured by simply using a millimeter wave radar.
An object of the present invention is to provide a ball measuring device that is not easily affected by the weather and brightness and that can perform ballistic measurement with high accuracy.
A ball measuring device according to the present invention is a ball measuring device capable of measuring a ball trajectory from a striking position to a landing position, a landing position, and a stop position, capable of measuring the trajectory and having at least one transmission antenna; A millimeter-wave radar device having a plurality of receiving antennas, a CCD camera capable of measuring the stop position, and a radar calculation that calculates the three-dimensional coordinates of the ball based on signals received by the plurality of receiving antennas And a camera measurement unit for calculating the coordinates of the stop position based on the image data of the CCD camera, and the millimeter wave radar device and the CCD camera are installed at different positions. Preferably, the horizontal beam width of the millimeter wave radar device is set to be not less than 10 degrees and not more than 90 degrees. Preferably, the beam width in the vertical direction of the millimeter wave radar device is set to 10 degrees or more and 90 degrees or less.
The ball measuring device can accurately measure the trajectory and flight distance while suppressing the influence of weather and brightness.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail based on preferred embodiments with appropriate reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a schematic configuration diagram of a
2 and 3 are diagrams showing the positional relationship between the trajectory d of the golf ball b to be hit, the
The
Particularly important measurement items are trajectory d, carry and total. The carry is a distance from the hitting position p1 to the landing position p2. The total is a distance from the hit position p1 to the stop position p3. The movement of the ball b from the landing position p2 to the stop position p3 is relatively less important as a measurement item. The ball measuring device of the present invention can exclude the movement of the ball b from the landing position p2 to the stop position p3 (bound or rolling trajectory) from the measurement target. The essential measurement items are the trajectory of the trajectory d from the impact position p1 to the landing position p2, the landing position p2, and the stop position p3. Of course, the movement (the trajectory of bouncing or rolling) of the ball b from the landing position p2 to the stop position p3 may be measured. Specifically, the measurement result of the trajectory d is a set of a large number of three-dimensional coordinate data at each time of the ball b measured every predetermined time.
When the trajectory d is shared and measured by two or more radar devices, the measurable ranges of the plurality of radar devices are at least partially overlapped. By measuring the trajectory d in the overlapping measurable range, the measurement data obtained by the plurality of radar devices overlap at least partially. By using the duplicated measurement data, the measurement data of one radar device and the measurement data of another radar device can be connected. A single trajectory d is drawn based on the joined data. A data processing unit that connects measurement data of a plurality of radar apparatuses may be provided.
The
When the
The distance in the left-right direction between the
As shown in FIG. 5, the
The
In order to obtain the three-dimensional information (three-dimensional orientation, three-dimensional velocity, etc.) of the ball b, a plurality of receiving antennas (receivers) are necessary. For this reason, the
As a method for obtaining the three-dimensional coordinates of the ball b from the three-dimensional information of the ball b, for example, there are the following first and second methods. In the present invention, the following first and second methods can be employed. The three-dimensional coordinates of the ball b may be obtained by other methods.
The first method obtains the three-dimensional orientation of the ball b as the three-dimensional information of the ball b, obtains the distance between the ball b and the
The second method is a method of obtaining the three-dimensional coordinates of the ball b by obtaining the three-dimensional velocity of the ball b as three-dimensional information of the ball b and sequentially integrating the obtained three-dimensional velocity.
In order to obtain the three-dimensional coordinates of the ball b, it is conceivable to use a plurality of radar devices. The
In order to obtain the orientation of the ball b, for example, a monopulse method can be adopted. If the monopulse system is used, it is possible to detect a wide range of targets (that is, the ball b) with a single transmission antenna. Specifically, the beam width (also referred to as a beam angle) can be a wide angle up to about 100 degrees.
The direction of the target (ball b) can be calculated by a plurality of receiving antennas arranged at different positions. FIG. 4 shows a received power pattern with respect to the azimuth angle θ of the ball b when two receiving antennas are used. In FIG. 4, “Sum” indicates the pattern of the sum signal of the signals input to the first and second receiving antennas, and “Diff” indicates the difference between the signals input to the first and second receiving antennas. The signal pattern is shown. The azimuth angle θ is specified from the sum signal Psum and the difference signal Pdiff of the received waves obtained at a specific time.
In order to obtain the three-dimensional orientation of the ball b, azimuth angles θ in two different directions are required. As a radar device for determining the azimuth angle θ in two different directions, it is arranged at a receiving antenna arranged at a different position in the first direction (for example, up and down direction) and at a different position in the second direction (for example, the left and right direction). A radar device having a received antenna is conceivable. In this case, at least three receiving antennas are required. One transmitting antenna may be used. Hereinafter, a case where the first direction is the up-down direction and the second direction is the left-right direction will be described. An azimuth angle (ie, elevation angle) in the vertical direction (vertical direction) is obtained based on the received signals of the receiving antennas arranged at different positions in the vertical direction. An azimuth angle in the left-right direction (horizontal direction) is obtained based on the received signals of the receiving antennas arranged at different positions in the left-right direction. A three-dimensional azimuth is obtained from the azimuth angle in the vertical direction and the azimuth angle in the horizontal direction. There may be four receiving antennas. Four receiving antennas are provided, for example, one each in the vertical direction, and one each is provided in the left-right direction separately from these. There may be five or more receiving antennas.
The distance between the
FIG. 5 shows an example of the configuration of a ball measuring device that can calculate the speed of the ball b and the distance to the ball b. The ball measurement device shown in FIG. 5 includes a
The ball measuring apparatus shown in FIG. 5 includes a
The speed of the ball b (relative speed between the
In the case of the two-frequency CW system, a modulation signal is input to the
fd=(2fc/c)v ・・・・ (1) fd = (2f c / c) v (1)
In equation (1), fc is the carrier frequency, v is the relative speed (ie, the speed of the ball b), and c is the speed of light. The reception signals at the respective transmission frequencies are separated and demodulated by the
R=(c・φ)/(4π・Δf) ・・・・ (2) R = (c · φ) / (4π · Δf) (2)
In Expression (2), c is the speed of light, and Δf is (f2−f1).
By grasping the distance to the ball b and the three-dimensional orientation of the ball b as described above, the three-dimensional coordinates of the ball b are uniquely determined.
As described above, the three-dimensional coordinates of the ball b can be calculated by sequentially integrating the three-dimensional velocity of the ball b. In order to obtain the three-dimensional velocity of the ball b, the principle of Doppler shift is used. In order to obtain a three-dimensional velocity, it is preferable to provide three or more receiving antennas. Preferably, all receiving antennas are provided in the
The
In the
When the radar device is installed in the vicinity of the hitting position p1, measurement near the stop position p3 tends to be difficult. The
In the embodiment of FIG. 2, the
As shown in FIG. 2, the
Preferably, the height h1 (see FIG. 2) of the
The
The image data captured from the
From the image data obtained by the
In the measurement apparatus using the conventional CCD camera described above, since the trajectory d is measured by the CCD camera, it is inevitable that the sky becomes the background. In the
In order to make the image of the ball b obtained by the
A golf club head, a golf club shaft, or the like that collides with the ball b can be a moving object in the measurable region of the
When the landing position p2 is recognized based on the measurement data obtained by the
In the

The horizontal beam width θ1 (see FIG. 3) of the
By setting the beam width θ2 to 10 degrees or more, the measurable range of the trajectory d is widened. More preferably, the beam width θ2 is 20 degrees or more. By setting the beam width θ2 to 90 degrees or less, excessive diffusion of the transmitted radio wave is prevented and measurement accuracy is improved. More preferably, the beam width θ2 is 80 degrees or less.
