Description
初め細片又は塊状であった、テトラアミド樹脂(米国特許第6,174,937号の実施例1に記載の調製方法により、1当量のC−36ダイマー酸と、2当量のエチレンジアミンと、UNICID(登録商標)700との反応より生成。ピーク結晶化温度85℃、ピーク融解温度120℃)を、混合機に通して粉末状にした。次に、750.72gの粉末化したテトラアミド樹脂と、239.7gのスペシャルブラック4カーボンブラック(デグサ製)とを、リトルフォード(LITTLEFORD)M5混合機中、0.8アンペアで30分間混合した。次にこの粉末混合物を、1ポンド/時間(0.454kg/時間)の速度で、DAVO逆回転双スクリュー押出機(VS104型、Deutsche Apparate−Vertrieborganisation GmbH&Co製)に入れた。この押出機は3つの温度加熱帯を備えているが、その全てを同じ温度に設定した。押出機の内容物を、80℃、50rpmで混合した。排出温度は96℃に設定した。
押出機のスクリュー回転速度を50rpmから80rpmに変えて、顔料分散物Aの調製方法を繰り返した。
押出機の温度を80℃から90℃に変えて、顔料分散物Aの調製方法を繰り返した。

第1の600mlのビーカー中で、61.98gの顔料分散物Aと、63.84gのステアリル=ステアルアミドを融解混合した。この混合物を135℃のオーブン中で1時間加熱した。これをビーカー1とする。
顔料分散物Aの代わりに顔料分散物Bを用いて、インキ1の調製方法を繰り返した。
顔料分散物Aの代わりに顔料分散物Cを用いて、インキ1の調製方法を繰り返した。
顔料分散物Aの代わりに顔料分散物Dを用いて、インキ1の調製方法を繰り返した。
顔料分散物Aの代わりに顔料分散物Eを用いて、インキ1の調製方法を繰り返した。
顔料分散物Aの代わりに顔料分散物Fを用いて、インキ1の調製方法を繰り返した。
第1の600mlのビーカー中で、61.98gの顔料分散物Cと、63.84gのステアリル=ステアルアミド(KEMAMIDE S−180)を融解混合した。この混合物を、135℃のオーブン中で1時間加熱した。次に、温度を140℃以下に保ちながら、IKA ULTRA TURAX T50ホモジナイザを用いて、1万rpmで3分間、混合物に高い剪断をかけた。これをビーカー1とする。
1万rpmでのビーカー1の高剪断混合を3分から9分に、また、2つのビーカーの中身を合わせたものの8,000rpmでの高剪断混合を3分から9分に変えて、インキ7の調製方法を繰り返した。
Claims (2)
- 相変化インキ組成物の製造方法であって、
前記相変化インキ組成物は、
(a)相変化インキキャリヤと、
(b)顔料粒子と、
を含み、
前記キャリヤは、少なくとも1種類の無極性成分と、少なくとも1種類の極性成分とを含み、
前記極性成分はテトラアミドを含む、相変化インキ組成物であって、
前記製造方法は、
(1)顔料粒子をテトラアミドと混合する工程と、
(2)前記テトラアミドのピーク結晶化温度又はそれより高く、前記テトラアミドのピーク融解温度より低い温度において、顔料粒子とテトラアミドとの前記混合物を押出機で押出し、顔料分散物を生成する工程と、
(3)前記顔料分散物の押出し後、前記顔料分散物に残りの全ての極性成分及び無極性成分を加える工程と、
(4)生成した、顔料分散物と極性成分と無極性成分との混合物を高剪断混合して、インキを生成する工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする相変化インキ組成物の製造方法。 - 相変化インキ組成物の製造方法であって、
前記相変化インキ組成物は、
(a)相変化インキキャリヤと、
(b)顔料粒子と、
を含み、
前記キャリヤは、少なくとも1種類の無極性成分と、少なくとも1種類の極性成分とを含み、
前記極性成分はテトラアミドを含み、
前記顔料粒子は、酸性基又は塩基性基のいずれかをその表面に持つ、相変化インキ組成物であって、
前記製造方法は、
(1)顔料粒子をテトラアミドと混合する工程と、
(2)前記テトラアミドのピーク結晶化温度又はそれより高く、前記テトラアミドのピーク融解温度より低い温度において、顔料粒子とテトラアミドとの前記混合物を押出機で押出し、顔料分散物を生成する工程と、
(3)前記顔料分散物の押出し後、前記顔料分散物を高剪断混合する工程と、
(4)前記顔料分散物の高剪断混合後、高剪断混合を続けながら前記顔料分散物に残りの全ての極性成分と無極性成分とを加えてインキを生成する工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする相変化インキ組成物の製造方法。
