Claims (1)

二つ折りにされた複数枚の用紙からなる冊子を二つ折りにされた折り部を先頭にして所定の搬送方向に搬送する用紙搬送部と、該用紙搬送部により搬送されてきた冊子を定位置で停止させる用紙ストッパと、該用紙ストッパにより停止した冊子を該冊子両面から挟んで把持する一対の冊子把持部材と、該冊子把持部材により把持された冊子の折り部の先端を前記搬送方向とは逆方向に押圧する押圧部材とを有し、該押圧部材により、前記折り部先端の膨らみを平坦化する折り部平坦化装置において、
この折り部平坦化装置が、この折り部平坦化装置と接続された画像形成装置により画像が形成された複数枚の用紙を受け取り二つ折りにして送り出す後処理装置に組み込まれたものであり、
前記画像形成装置から前記開口量設定の基礎となる冊子情報を受け取る冊子情報受取部と、
搬送されてきた冊子を前記一対の冊子把持部材が迎え入れるときの該一対の冊子把持部材による開口部の開口量を前記冊子情報受取部で受け取った冊子情報に基づいて設定する開口量設定部を備えたことを特徴とする折り部平坦化装置。
