Description

The present invention relates to a spreading agent composition that imparts wettability to an application target of agricultural chemicals such as crops and pests by adding the agricultural chemical to water when the agricultural chemical is diluted and sprayed.

Usually, when diluting and spraying emulsions, wettable powders, flowable powders, granular wettable powders, etc. that are agricultural chemical formulations with water, the agricultural chemicals are efficiently attached to surfaces that are easy to repel water, such as the surface of plants and pests. It is common to apply a spreading agent composition.

The spreader composition is generally composed of a surfactant as a main component and other additives added and dissolved in water. In order to provide stability during storage, a lower composition such as isopropyl alcohol is used. Alcohols are included. However, since such lower alcohols are flammable, there is a problem in safety during use and storage.
In addition, when preparing a spray solution for agricultural chemicals, if foaming is severe, there is a problem that foam overflows from the tank of the spray solution. Although the spreading agent composition is commercially available, the spreading agent composition itself has a low foaming property, but the effect of actively eliminating the foam caused by the agrochemical formulation is small. The foam effect was not always sufficient.

Until now, as a spreading agent composition for agricultural chemicals, a non-aqueous composition obtained by dissolving sorbitan fatty acid ester, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether and polyether-modified silicone in isopropyl alcohol has been proposed (see Patent Document 1). . However, this is a composition that does not contain water and does not substantially contain water, and the improvement in wettability required as a spreader composition and the defoaming effect due to the polyether-modified silicone are recognized. However, it contained 50% by mass of alcohol having a low flash point with respect to the total amount of the composition, and was inevitably restricted in handling because it corresponds to a dangerous substance causing fire and the like. Further, in order to obtain the desired defoaming effect, the dilution ratio at the time of use was about 2000 times, and it was necessary to make the dilution ratio low so that the concentration of the spreader composition at the time of use was high.

Further, a spreading agent composition (see Patent Document 2) comprising a fatty acid polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether, a solvent having a relatively high flash point, such as 2-butoxyethanol, and water, has also been proposed. Although the spreader composition has high safety, it has no defoaming effect, and in order to exhibit the effect as a spreader composition, the dilution ratio at the time of use is about 400 times and the low dilution. It was necessary to use at a relatively high concentration. The spreading agent composition has no particular limitation on the effective dilution ratio, but it is used as a spreading agent composition at a low concentration for distribution and storage, and also to reduce the environmental load. In other words, it is desirable that the desired effect can be obtained even when the dilution is high.

The most important effect required for the spreader composition is to make the sprayed solution to which it is applied easily adhere to the surface of plants and pests, that is, to improve wettability. If there is an effect of suppressing the foaming of the liquid, it is advantageous because it becomes easier to use. Furthermore, in order to reduce the burden on human livestock and the environment, those used at low concentrations are desirable, and of course, it is necessary that the flash point is high and the safety is excellent.

The inventors have the effect of improving the wettability of the spray liquid, that is, reducing the surface tension and the contact angle of the spray liquid, and further suppressing the generation of foam of the spray liquid. In addition, as a result of earnest research on a spreader composition that can exhibit these effects even at a high dilution that results in a low concentration compared to conventional spreader compositions, organic compounds with a high flash point Surfactant and antifoam in the spreader composition are prepared by dissolving the surfactant and antifoaming agent or foam breaker as main components in a solvent and making it non-aqueous substantially free of water. Since both the concentration of the agent or foam breaker can be increased, the inventors have found that the desired effect can be expressed even when diluted to a lower concentration than the conventional spreader composition, and that the effect can be maintained even after long-term storage, The present invention has been made based on this finding.

The spreading agent composition for non-aqueous pesticides according to the present invention is obtained by adding a surfactant or spreading agent composition that imparts a wettability effect to the surface of plants and pests, which is the most important as the spreading agent composition. By dissolving an antifoaming agent or a defoaming agent having a high effect of eliminating the foam of the sprayed liquid or suppressing the generation of the foam, particularly fatty acids in an organic solvent having a high solubility in these, a surfactant and Even if a high concentration of antifoaming agent or antifoaming agent, especially fatty acid is added, there is no risk of separation or clouding, and further, water is excluded from the composition components, resulting in problems such as toxicity and low flash point. It is advantageous to use a highly safe and versatile organic solvent without using a special solvent having an excellent storability.
And, the non-aqueous pesticide spreader composition of the present invention has sufficient wettability even when diluted to a higher dilution so as to have a lower concentration compared to conventional spreader compositions. Further, since the disappearance of foam or the effect of inhibiting the generation can be expected, and the antifoaming agent or the foam breaker having a particularly high effect of disappearance of the foam or the inhibition of the formation, particularly fatty acids can be blended at a high rate, the effect is remarkably enhanced. Moreover, this effect is stably maintained over a long period of time by excluding water from the composition components.
