本発明は、例えば洗面器や手洗い器等の壁に露出して取付けられた機器の下側に配置された、通常は機器の使用者が使用しないトラップ、給・排水管、バルブ等の露出部を覆う外装カバー装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、壁に固定された洗面器や手洗い器等の機器は、その下側に機器に接続されたトラップ、給・排水管、バルブ等の付属装置を配置しているが、付属装置を露出させておくことは外観上好ましくないので、例えば、特開平11−332762号公報に開示されているように、プラスチック製の外装カバーで付属装置を覆っている。外装カバーを壁に取付けるときは、手洗い器の下方の壁に外装カバーの上部を支持する上側固定具(上ブラケット)を予め取付けておくと共に、外装カバーの下部を支持する下側固定具(下ブラケット)を外装カバーの下部に取付けておく。そして、外装カバーを上側固定具に掛止させ、更に外装カバーを持ち上げて手洗い器の下端に接触させた状態で下側固定具の壁に取付ける位置を罫書く。その後、一旦外装カバーを上側固定具から外すと共に、下側固定具を外装カバーから外し、下側固定具を壁に罫書いた取付け位置にボルトによって壁に固定する。その状態で外装カバーを上側固定具と下側固定具に掛止し、更にその状態で、ボルトによって外装カバーを上側固定具と下側固定具に固定し、更に、外装カバーの下端と床の間の隙間に補助カバー(幅木)を取付けている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上記従来の方法では、次のような解決すべき問題があった。
(1)施工現場で壁に手洗い器を取付ける位置と上側固定具を取付ける位置とを加工するが、手洗い器が陶器でできているため、寸法精度にバラツキがあり、施工誤差や手洗い器と上側固定具との間の寸法に誤差が生じる。また、外装カバーの下方を覆う補助カバーが一定高さであるため、補助カバーと外装カバーの間に隙間が生じて外観上不具合が生じたり、補助カバーを現場で加工して高さを調整する必要が出て、取付け作業に多くの手間が掛かったりすることがあった。
(2)取付ける壁の下端部に所定高さで壁面から突出する幅木が設けられていることがあるが、外装カバーを壁面に取付けるとき、外装カバーの壁面との当接部が幅木に当接し、幅木より上の壁に外装カバーが密着せず、壁と外装カバーとの間に隙間が生じることがあった。
(3)外装カバーは上側固定具と下側固定具にボルトによって固定されるため、外観にボルトの頭が露出すると共に、ボルトによる取付け作業に多くの作業工数を要していた。
(4)上側固定具、下側固定具の位置を決めるとき、定規や物差しを使って罫書いているため、施工現場で準備する施工工具が多くなり、罫書き作業に多くの手間がかかっていた。
本発明はこのような事情に鑑みてなされたもので、外装カバー装置の取付け位置を簡単に決めることができると共に、外装カバー装置をワンタッチで簡単に壁に取付けることが可能な外装カバー装置を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
前記目的に沿う第1の発明に係る外装カバー装置は、壁に露出して取付けられた機器の通常は使用しない露出部を覆う外装カバー装置であって、正面パネル部及び正面パネル部の両側にそれぞれ一体的に連接して設けられた側面パネル部とを備え、前記壁に取り外し可能に取付けられる上下開放のカバー本体と、前記カバー本体の内側でかつカバー本体の下側に摺動自在に取付けられ、しかも、前記カバー本体の下端と床面との間を覆う上下開放の摺動カバーとを有し、
1)前記カバー本体の両側面パネル部の内側に一体的に設けられた固定手段と、2)前記壁に仮固定可能な粘着剤を壁当接面に有し、前記固定手段に係合する固定孔と、該固定孔とは別にガイド孔を有する少なくとも2個の取付け金具と、3)前記固定手段の上下に設けられ、それぞれ前記壁に向かって突出し、前記それぞれの取付け金具の前記ガイド孔に着脱自在に嵌入する位置決め突起とを有し、前記カバー本体の前記位置決め突起に、前記取付け金具を装着した状態で、前記壁の取付け位置に該取付け金具を仮固定可能にしている。
また、第2の発明に係る外装カバー装置は、壁に露出して取付けられた機器の通常は使用しない露出部を覆う外装カバー装置であって、正面パネル部及び該正面パネル部の両側にそれぞれ一体的に連接して設けられた側面パネル部とを備え、前記壁に取り外し可能に取付けられる上下開放のカバー本体と、前記カバー本体の内側でかつ該カバー本体の下側に摺動自在に取付けられ、しかも、前記カバー本体の下端と床面との間を覆う上下開放の摺動カバーとを有し、
1)前記カバー本体の両側面パネル部の内側に設けられた固定手段と、2)前記カバー本体の固定手段に係合する固定孔を有して、左右に配置される少なくとも2個の取付け金具とを有し、更に、
前記固定手段は、前記取付け金具の固定孔に嵌入する掛止突起と、該掛止突起の先端部に嵌着される突出片とを有すると共に、前記突出片の両側には山形状に突出する係合バネ部材を有している

この場合、カバー本体の下部に設けた掛止突起を上部に設けた掛止突起より長く突出させることにより、カバー本体を持ち上げて下側の掛止突起を先に、下側に設けた取付け金具の固定孔に嵌入させ、その後、上側に設けた取付け金具の固定孔に上側の掛止突起を嵌入させるとができるので、同時に上下の掛止突起を固定孔に嵌入させる場合に比べて嵌入作業が容易となる。

図1(A)、(B)、図2に示すように、本発明の第1の実施の形態に係る外装カバー装置10は、壁11に露出して取付けられた機器の一例である手洗い器12の下方にあって、通常は手洗い器12の使用者が操作しないが、修理やメンテナンスのときに操作する露出部の一例であるトラップ、給・排水管、バルブ等の付属装置13を覆う装置であって、カバー本体14を設けている。カバー本体14は、例えばポリプロピレン(PP)等の合成樹脂の射出成型によって平面視してU字状に形成され、正面パネル部15及び正面パネル部15の両側にそれぞれ一体的に連接して設けられた側面パネル部16とを備えて、上下が開放されて壁11に取り外し可能に取付けられるようにしている。また、カバー本体14の内側には、カバー本体14の下側に摺動自在に取付けられ、しかも、カバー本体14の下端と床面17との間を覆う上下開放の摺動カバー18を設けている。摺動カバー18はカバー本体14の正面パネル部15及び側面パネル部16の内側に沿ってそれぞれ設けられた摺動カバー18の正面パネル部19及び側面パネル部20を有している。

正面パネル部15の内側には上下方向に延び、かつ内側に突出するスライドガイド21が設けられ、スライドガイド21にねじ孔22が設けられている。摺動カバー18の正面パネル部19にはスライドガイド21が摺動自在に嵌合するスライド溝23が設けられ、スライド溝23には上下方向に長い、例えば30〜50mm程度の摺動ストロークが確保できる長孔24が設けられている。そして、正面パネル部15に摺動カバー18の正面パネル部19を重ねて、スライドガイド21をスライド溝23に嵌合させた状態で、ねじ孔22に座金25を介してボルト26を装入し、ねじ孔22に螺合させている。

また、カバー本体14の側面パネル部16の壁面当接部の下側には、壁11の下部に設けられた幅木29の露出形状に合わせた切欠き32が形成可能な切り込み溝33が設けられている。
なお、側面パネル部16、20にそれぞれ設けた切り込み溝33、31は、断面V字状となって、垂直及び/又は水平に複数本形成されていてカッターナイフなどの工具により現場で所定の位置で除去できるようにしている。

また、図2、図4(A)に示すように、外装カバー装置10は、カバー本体14とは別体として、4個の取付け金具34が設けられている。取付け金具34は、壁11に当接する面(壁当接面)を含む壁当接部35を両端部に有し、壁当接部35から浮き上がった状態に突出する保持部36とを備え、各壁当接部35には壁11に仮固定可能な粘着剤の一例である両面粘着テープ37と壁11に木ねじ38によって固定するためのねじ孔39とを設けている。
保持部36の中央部には、カバー本体14に設けられた固定手段40に係合する長方形の固定孔41を設け、保持部36には固定孔41とは別に、固定孔41の両端側にそれぞれガイド孔42を設けている。
固定手段40は、カバー本体14の両側面パネル部16の上部及び下部の内側に一体的に設けられ、各固定手段40の上下には、それぞれ壁11に向かって突出し、図5(A)に示すように、それぞれの取付け金具34のガイド孔42に着脱自在に嵌入する位置決め突起43が設けられている。そして、位置決め突起43を、取付け金具34のガイド孔42に嵌入した状態で、壁11の取付け位置に取付け金具34を両面粘着テープ37を介して仮固定できるようにしている。なお、位置決め突起43は、カバー本体14の位置決めが完了した後、折り曲げて除去可能にしている。

また、図5(A)、(B)、図6(A)、(B)に示すように、各固定手段40には、取付け金具34の固定孔41に嵌入する掛止突起44と、掛止突起44の先端部に嵌着される突出片45とを有し、更に突出片45の両側には山形状に突出する係合バネ部材46を有している。なお、カバー本体14の下部に設ける掛止突起44の突出長さは、カバー本体14の上部に設ける掛止突起44の突出長さより長くしている。
突出片45は掛止突起44の先側から嵌入するようにし、掛止突起44の嵌入方向とは逆方向に掛止突起44に食い込む係止爪47を突出片45の両側に備えて、係合バネ部材46と共に一体に、弾性を有する金属部材によって形成している。

また、掛止突起44は、固定孔41の横幅に合うように形成された上下のガイド板48と、ガイド板48を連結する中板49とを有し、突出片45を掛止突起44に嵌入させた状態で、係止爪47は中板49の側面に食い込むようにしている。
カバー本体14の上側左右の掛止突起44の下部には、掛止突起44を固定孔41に導く傾斜面50を有するガイド部51を設けて、固定孔41に掛止突起44と共にガイド部51を嵌入可能にしている。なお、ガイド部51はカバー本体14の上側左右の掛止突起44の代わりに、下側左右の掛止突起44の下部に設けることも可能である。

ここで、本発明の第1の実施の形態に係る外装カバー装置10の取付け手順について説明する。
(1)予め、カバー本体14を機器本体27の下部に設けた周縁部28の内側に当てた状態で、カバー本体14の下端部と摺動カバー18の両端部が壁11の下端の幅木29に当接する位置を確認し、幅木29の大きさに合わせて、切り込み溝31、33を切取り除去し、カバー本体14及び摺動カバー18が壁11に密着するようにしておく。
(2)カバー本体14の内側に摺動カバー18を配置し、スライドガイド21をスライド溝23に嵌合させて、座金25を介して軽くボルト26を締め付けて、手で摺動カバー18を上下に摺動して、手を離しても摩擦によってその位置に止まるようにしておく。
(3)取付け金具34のガイド孔42にカバー本体14に設けた位置決め突起43を落下しない程度に押し込み、取付け金具34に取付けた両面粘着テープ37のセパレータ紙を剥がしておく。なお、このとき、未だ突出片45は掛止突起44に固定されていない。

(4)カバー本体14を持ち上げて、カバー本体14の上端部を機器本体27の下部に設けた周縁部28の内側に当接させる。このとき、まだ両面粘着テープ37が壁11に接触しないようしておく。
(5)カバー本体14が付属装置13を覆う正しい位置に位置決めした状態で、取付け金具34と共に、カバー本体14を壁11に押し付ける。これにより、4個の取付け金具34は両面粘着テープ37を介して壁11に取付けられる(仮固定)。
(6)取付け金具34が壁11に取付けられていることを確認して、カバー本体14を取付け金具34から引き抜いて取り外す。そして取付け金具34のねじ孔39に、木ねじ38を通すと共に、木ねじ38を締め付けて取付け金具34を壁11に固着する。
(7)取り外したカバー本体14の掛止突起44に突出片45を嵌入させて固定し、その後位置決め突起43を折り曲げ除去する。このとき、突出片45の係止爪47が掛止突起44の中板49の側面に食い込んで、突出片45は取外しができない状態となる。

(8)図7(A)に示すように、カバー本体14の下部に設けた固定手段40の掛止突起44を下側の取付け金具34の固定孔41に嵌入させる。このとき、下側の掛止突起44が側部の掛止突起44より長く形成されているので、互いに干渉することなく、容易に両方の掛止突起44をそれぞれ固定孔41に嵌入させることができる。
(9)次に図7(B)に示すように、カバー本体14を持ち上げながら、図4(B)に示すように、カバー本体14の上側の掛止突起44を上側の取付け金具34の固定孔41に嵌入させる。このとき、掛止突起44の下部に設けたガイド部51の傾斜面50が固定孔41の下側縁部に当たり、カバー本体14が傾斜面50に沿って斜めに上昇して持ち上がる。

(10)上下左右の4個の掛止突起44がそれぞれ取付け金具34の固定孔41に入ったところで、図7(C)に示すように、カバー本体14を壁11に向かって押し付ける。このとき、固定孔41の内側縁は、図4(C)に示すように、突出片45に設けた係合バネ部材46の山形の頂部を乗り越えて固定され、バネ作用によって簡単に抜けない状態となる。
(11)図7(D)に示すように、摺動カバー18を手で降ろして摺動カバー18を下降させ、摺動カバー18の下端を床面17に接触させる。
これにより、付属装置13はカバー本体14と摺動カバー18によって完全に覆うことができる。

すなわち、カバー本体61の外側には、カバー本体61の上側に摺動自在に取付けられ、しかも、カバー本体61の上端と機器本体27との間を覆う上下開放の摺動カバー62を設けている。摺動カバー62はカバー本体61の正面パネル部63及び側面パネル部64の外側に沿ってそれぞれ設けられた正面パネル部65及び側面パネル部66を有している。カバー本体61の側面パネル部64の壁面当接部の下側には、壁11の下部に設けられた幅木29の露出形状に合わせた切欠き67が形成可能な切り込み溝68が設けられている。

摺動カバー62の正面パネル部65の内側には上下方向に延び、かつ内側に突出するスライドガイド69が設けられ、正面パネル部65とスライドガイド69を貫通する装入孔70が設けられている。カバー本体61の正面パネル部63にはスライドガイド69が摺動自在に嵌合するスライド溝71が設けられ、スライド溝71には上下方向に長い長孔72が設けられている。そして、正面パネル部63に摺動カバー62の正面パネル部65を重ねて、スライドガイド69をスライド溝71に嵌合させた状態で、装入孔70にボルト74を装入し、カバー本体61の内側に配置したナット75に座金73を介して螺合させて、摺動カバー62の外側からボルト74を締めることにより、カバー本体61と摺動カバー62とを一体に固定できるようにしている。

ここで、本発明の第2の実施の形態に係る外装カバー装置60の取付け手順について説明する。
(1)予め、摺動カバー62を機器本体27の下部に設けた周縁部28の内側に当てた状態で、カバー本体61の下端部が壁11の下端の幅木29に当接する位置を確認し、幅木29の大きさに合わせて、切り込み溝68を折り曲げ除去して切欠き67を形成し、カバー本体61が壁11に密着できるようにしておく。
(2)カバー本体61の外側に摺動カバー62を配置し、スライドガイド69をスライド溝71に嵌合させて、座金73を介して軽くボルト74を締め付けて仮止めしておく。
(3)取付け金具34のガイド孔42にカバー本体61に設けた位置決め突起43を落下しない程度に押し込み、取付け金具34に取付けた両面粘着テープ37のセパレータ紙を剥がしておく。なお、このとき、未だ突出片45は掛止突起44に固定されていない。
