Abstract

The handrest facilitates the supporting of musical instruments and similar objects. When the player supports a musical instrument over long periods of times, the tendon between his thumb and wrist will be susceptible to tenosynovitis and the edge of his thumb will grow a callus. A handrest consisting of the parts (1-6) shown in figure 1 shifts the weight of the object to be supported from the thumb to the area between the thumb and the index finger. The control members allow the handrest to be adapted to different hand sizes and playing styles. The use of a handrest allows longer practising periods and more rapid and sensitive fingering.

Description

【0001】

[0001]
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a handrest that facilitates supporting a woodwind instrument and an equivalent object.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Until now, the weight of a woodwind instrument is usually supported by the tip of the thumb / the tip edge of the thumb. It was usual to support a heavier instrument such as a saxophone with a belt around the performer's neck.
[0003]
According to the conventional method of supporting a musical instrument without auxiliary means, the tendon between the thumb and the wrist is tense, resulting in tendon synovitis. There is also a problem that a octopus is formed on the tip edge of the thumb and the tumor starts to grow in the rubbed area.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
When a predetermined handrest is used, the weight of the woodwind instrument deviates from the thumb and overlaps between the thumb and the index finger. This will relieve tension on the tendon jacket and prevent the tumor from growing on the thumb. As a result, the practice period can be lengthened, mastered faster, and more sensitive fingering can be provided.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The handrest of the present invention has a rotary joint at the position of the palm, and the position of the musical instrument can be adjusted by the adjusting member in accordance with different performance styles and hands .
[0006]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The invention is explained in detail below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows the handrest viewed from the right hand side of the user. FIG. 2 shows the handrest viewed from the user.
[0007]
The handrest is supported by the fastening loop 1 and is fixed to the object, which is fastened around the object. The fastening loop can be dimensioned according to the diameter of the instrument. A counterbalance support 2 is attached to the fastening ring, and this support can maintain the counterbalance during finger operation of an open G sound that cannot support the instrument with fingers. The portion to which the fastening loop is attached is provided with a cylindrical portion 3, and this cylindrical portion extends downward in the axial direction of the fastening loop and generally has a length of 8 to 10 cm. The cylindrical part 3 adjusts the vertical length of the handrest by means of slide rails, telescopic members or the like. As a result, an optimum height can be given to the musical instrument in accordance with different hand sizes.
[0008]
The device comprises a second shorter cylindrical part 4 connected to the cylindrical part 3 via a rotary joint at an angle of 90 °. As a result, the length of the handrest can be adjusted by slide rails, telescoping members or the like to provide the optimum distance for different finger lengths. The cylindrical portion 4 is connected to the spacer 5 via a rotary joint. By using this rotary joint, it can be locked at different positions, and its length can be adjusted by rotation.
[0009]
The spacer 5 fixes the cylindrical portion 4 to the handle portion 6 of the handrest. The spacer 5 can adjust the height and angle at the palm position 7 to suit different performance styles and hands . The handle portion 6 is given a shape suitable for the hand and is generally made of plastic. The handle is supported by an enclosed portion between the performer's thumb and forefinger, and the weight of the instrument moves to this area.
[Brief description of the drawings]
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a handrest viewed from the right hand side of a user.
FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating a handrest viewed from a user.
