このような椅子においては、肘掛けを支基に取り付けるには、肘掛け支柱を支基に届くように内側に曲がった構造のものとするか、その目的のためだけに、支基から延びる横軸が取り付けられていた。そのため、構造が面倒なものとなっていた。

(1) 背凭れを支持して、下方かつ前方に延びる左右の背杆の前端を、支基の後部に左右方向に延びる横軸により枢着するとともに、前記支基の前部に、座板取付金具の前部を、前後方向に移動可能に取り付け、かつ、前記背杆における前記横軸より後方の部分と前記座板取付金具の後部とを、左右方向の軸により枢着して、前記背凭れの傾動に連動して座を前後移動させうるようにした椅子において、前記座板取付金具の後部に内端部を固着して、前記背杆を枢着する前記軸の外端部に雌ねじ部を設けるとともに、前記座板取付金具における、前記軸を設けた部分の外側に、受枠と肘掛け支柱とを配設し、かつ前記肘掛け支柱の外側から前記受枠へ挿通して、前記雌ねじ部に螺合したボルトにより、前記肘掛け支柱を、前記座板取付金具に取り付けるようにする。
