Description

The present invention relates to a connection structure of hollow members or semi-hollow members, and more specifically, a hollow member connected by bolts and nuts that penetrate both members when the hollow member or semi-hollow member is fixed to another member. Or it is related with the connection structure of a semi-hollow member.

Generally, when fixing a hollow member or a semi-hollow member to another member, when fixing to the other member with a bolt and a nut passing through two sides having a space between the hollow member or the semi-hollow member, tightening the bolt and the nut In general, the collar is fixed between both sides so that the distance between the two sides is not changed by force.

In the field of automobiles, suspension members constituting the suspension are provided with a support member for supporting the vehicle body side of the suspension arm and mounted with an engine, a transmission, etc. It is considered effective to use.

When the suspension member is made of aluminum, the present inventors cast a part that requires a complicated shape, and use an extruded shape made of an aluminum alloy for the other parts. In the case of using a shape member, the invention was created by arranging it in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body so that the impact energy absorbing function at the time of a collision can be effectively utilized by utilizing its axial crushing characteristics. Proposes an optimal connection structure to the other member of the hollow member or the semi-hollow member in this case.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, when a hollow member is connected to another member, a structure in which a bolt is passed through the hollow member and a nut is fastened and connected to a protruding portion of the bolt is widely known. For example, a through hole is provided at a predetermined position of the hollow member, a collar is inserted into the position of the through hole and fixed by welding, and a bolt is inserted into the collar to fix the hollow member to another member, or the collar A structure is known in which a bolt is inserted through a pair of brackets having a substantially concave cross section extending across a hollow member across the hollow member from above and below, and a nut is fastened to fix the hollow member. In this case, the shape of the collar itself is merely cylindrical, and only one bolt is fixed (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
JP 2000-238657 A (claims, paragraph number 0003, FIG. 4 and FIG. 6)

However, in the thing of Unexamined-Japanese-Patent No. 2000-238657, since the collar was inserted and welded to the hollow member or the bracket extended over the hollow member, there was a problem that it took time and labor to attach the collar. Further, in the structure in which the bolt is inserted into the collar penetrating the hollow member and the hollow member is connected to the other member, the portion in contact with the other member is the collar, so that the hollow member is firmly fixed. It wasn't. Further, since the collar is simply cylindrical, it can only be used for one bolt, and when a plurality of bolts are used, it is necessary to weld a plurality of collars.

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a hollow member or semi-hollow member connection structure that can easily and reliably fix a collar and reduce the number of constituent members. .

In order to achieve the above object, the hollow member or semi-hollow member connection structure of the present invention connects a hollow member or semi-hollow member having two sides with a gap to other members with bolts penetrating these two sides. A collar having a contact surface that can contact between the two sides at both ends and a plurality of elongated insertion holes through which the bolts are inserted is disposed between the two sides. In addition, a caulking receiving portion is formed on at least one of the abutting surfaces, and the caulking portion is formed from at least one of the two sides toward the caulking receiving portion, so that the collar has a space between two sides. (Claim 1).

By constituting in this way, the collar is temporarily fixed to the hollow member or semi-hollow member member by caulking, and the bolt insertion hole provided in the collar is communicated with the bolt communication hole provided in the hollow member or semi-hollow member Thus, the hollow member or the semi-hollow member can be firmly connected without the hollow member or the semi-hollow member being deformed by inserting the bolt into the bolt insertion hole and the bolt communication hole and fastening the nut.

Furthermore, since the collar can be fixed to the hollow member or the semi-hollow member in advance, the collar is assembled to the hollow member or the semi-hollow member in advance, and bolted to another member at another location. Even in this case, it is easy to see that the collar is installed by visual inspection of the caulking portion without forgetting to install the collar. Furthermore, even when the number of bolts used becomes plural, it is possible to cope with one color. Further, by making the bolt insertion hole long, it is possible to cope with errors in the collar mounting position and errors in the position of the bolt insertion hole .

In this invention, it is preferable that the collar is provided with a rotation preventing portion that contacts the connecting side that connects the two sides so as to prevent rotation of the collar. In this case, it is preferable that the contact between the connecting side and the rotation preventing portion is a surface contact or a two-point contact.

By configuring in this way, the rotation preventing portion provided on the collar contacts the connecting side connecting the two sides of the hollow member or the semi-hollow member, so that the collar does not rotate around the caulking portion, and the bolt At the time of fastening, it is not necessary to correct the positional deviation between the bolt insertion hole provided in the collar and the bolt communication hole formed on the two sides of the hollow member or the semi-hollow member, so that the bolt fastening is facilitated.

Further, it is preferable that the collar is formed by an extruded shape made of an aluminum alloy, and the caulking receiving portion is formed by a through hole formed by extrusion together with a bolt insertion hole.

With such a configuration, the collar is formed of an extruded shape made of an aluminum alloy, and the caulking receiving portion is formed at the same time as the bolt insertion hole together with the extrusion, so that it is not necessary to process the caulking receiving portion.

In the present invention, it is preferable that the plurality of elongated bolt insertion holes are provided by shifting the center of the bolt insertion hole in the longitudinal direction of the hollow member or the semi-hollow member and the width direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. (Claim 5 ).

According to this invention, since it is configured as described above, the following excellent effects can be obtained.

(1) According to the first aspect of the present invention, a hollow member or a semi-hollow member (hereinafter simply referred to as a hollow member or the like) having two sides with a gap is connected to another member with a bolt penetrating these two sides. In the connecting structure, when arranging the collar between the two sides, a caulking receiving portion is formed on at least one of the opposing surfaces of the collar to the two sides, and at least one of the two sides By forming the caulking portion toward the caulking receiving portion, the collar is temporarily fixed, and other members to which the hollow member and the like are connected are fastened with bolts. Can be linked to.

At this time, since the collar can be fixed to the hollow member or the like in advance, the collar can be temporarily fixed to the hollow member or the like in advance. In addition, since the caulking portion can be visually observed from the outside, the forgetting to attach the collar does not occur.

(2) According to the invention described in claim 2, the collar is provided with the rotation preventing portion that comes into contact with the connecting side connecting the two sides such as the hollow member, so that the collar is freely rotated and provided on the collar. In addition to the above (1), it is possible to further facilitate the connecting operation of the hollow member and the like because the bolt insertion hole formed on the two sides of the bolt insertion hole and the hollow member and the like are not displaced. it can. In this case, the contact between the connection side and the rotation preventing portion is a surface contact or two-point contact, so that the bolt insertion hole provided in the collar and the position of the bolt communication hole formed on the two sides such as the hollow member are shifted. Can be more reliably prevented (Claim 3).

(3) According to the invention described in claim 4, since the collar is formed of an extruded shape made of aluminum alloy and the caulking receiving portion is formed by extrusion molding together with the bolt insertion hole without special processing, the hollow member For example, a collar is inserted between two sides, and at least one of two sides of a hollow member or the like where a caulking receiving portion is formed by a through hole is caulked by using a tool such as a punch, for example. Therefore, in addition to the above (1) and (2), the collar can be temporarily fixed easily and reliably.

In addition to the above (1) and (2), the collar is made of an aluminum alloy, and in addition to the above (1) and (2), the caulking receiving portion and the bolt insertion hole can be simultaneously formed by extrusion molding. There is no need for processing, and processing can be facilitated.

(4) According to the first aspect of the present invention, since a plurality of bolt insertion holes are formed in the collar, even when the number of bolts used becomes a plurality, a single collar can be used. Further, by making the bolt insertion hole a long hole, it is possible to cope with errors in the collar mounting position and errors in the position of the bolt communication hole, so that it is possible to connect a hollow member or the like. . In this case, the plurality of elongated hole insertion holes are provided at the diagonal positions by shifting the center of the bolt insertion hole in the longitudinal direction of the hollow member or the like and in the width direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. since member or the like is fixed by a plurality of bolts while being firmly secured, it is possible to fix by a plurality of bolts at a relatively small hollow member etc. since it is more fixed in a diagonal position (claim 5 )

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, the best embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

The rear end of the engine 4 is fixed. The front side of the engine 4 is fixed to the side frame 2.

Further, a bracket 19 for attaching the stabilizer 6 protrudes from the opposing inner surface of the side member 11 on the front end side.

On the other hand, the auxiliary side member 15 (hollow member in the present invention) is formed of an extruded shape made of an aluminum alloy having a substantially hollow rectangular cross section. That is, the auxiliary side member 15 is a hollow member that includes two sides having an interval, for example, an upper side 15c and a lower side 15d, and a pair of connecting sides 15e and 15e that connect the two sides 15c and 15d. The auxiliary side member 15 utilizes both surfaces of the upper side 15c and the lower side 15d facing each other, and both the suspension member main body 10 which is another member to which the auxiliary side member 15 is connected by a bolt 51 and a nut 52. It fixes to the front-end | tip part of the side member 11 (refer FIG. 4).

In the state where a collar 60 (described later) temporarily fixed in the hollow portion 15b on the connecting side of the auxiliary side member 15 is interposed, angle-shaped mounting brackets 40 are respectively attached to the distal end portions of the side members 11 of the suspension member body 10. The side member 11, the upper side 15c and the lower side 15d of the auxiliary side member 15 and the mounting bracket 40 are fastened and connected by the mounting bolt 51 and the nut 52. A plurality of, for example, two elongated hole insertion holes 15a are provided on the two sides 15c and 15d of the auxiliary side member 15, respectively. The bolt insertion hole 15 a is provided at a position where the center of the bolt insertion hole 15 a is shifted in the longitudinal direction of the auxiliary side member 15 and the width direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction.

By fixing with the two bolts 51 in this way, the auxiliary side member 15 is firmly fixed to the side member 11 without rotating around the bolt portion (in the direction of arrow C in FIG. 4). .

In addition, the bolt 51 is arranged diagonally by providing the center position of the bolt insertion hole 15a at a position shifted in the longitudinal direction of the auxiliary side member 15 and the width direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. Thus, even in a relatively narrow portion, the plurality of bolts 51 and nuts 52 can be firmly connected without interference.

A first cross member 14 is connected between the tip portions of both auxiliary side members 15. Further, a distal end connecting portion 18 to the side frame 2 of the vehicle body is provided at the distal end portion of the auxiliary side member 15.

In this case, the collar 60 is cut in accordance with the dimension between the two sides 15c and 15d of the hollow portion 15b of the auxiliary side member 15 and an arcuate shape of the auxiliary side member 15 is formed on one end face of the collar 60. In order to avoid interference with the inner corner, it is formed of a block having a contact surface 67 provided with a chamfer 66.

The chamfer 66 may be provided as necessary, and may not be necessary depending on the shape of the corner of the inner surface of the auxiliary side member 15 and the size of the collar 60.

As shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, the collar 60 has a cross-sectional shape in which two elliptical portions 63 and 64 are connected to each other while being shifted from each other, and from the connecting portion of the elliptical portions 63 and 64. It has a bulging portion 65 that protrudes outward in a substantially arc shape, and is provided with a long hole-shaped bolt insertion hole 61 in each of the elliptical portions 63 and 64. Further, the bulging portion 65 is provided with a through hole 62 in parallel with the bolt insertion hole 61. Further, a rotation blocking portion 68 that contacts the connecting side 15 e of the auxiliary side member 15 is provided outside the elliptical portions 63 and 64.

The collar 60 formed as described above includes bolt insertion holes 61 in two elongated hole communication holes 15a provided on two sides (upper side 15c and lower side 15d) of the connection side end of the auxiliary side member 15. Are inserted into the hollow portion 15b in the direction in which they fit. Then, as shown in FIG. 6, one surface of the two sides 15c and 15d of the auxiliary side member 15 where the through hole 62 is located is deformed into the through hole 62 by caulking 70 using a tool such as a punch. Thus, a caulking portion is formed, and the collar 60 is caulked and temporarily fixed. Since the rotation preventing portion 68 contacts the connecting side 15e with respect to the rotation around the caulking portion in the hollow portion 15b, the temporarily fixed collar 60 is prevented from rotating, so the bolt insertion hole 61 and the bolt communication hole The position of 15a does not shift. At this time, the contact between the rotation preventing portion 68 and the connecting side 15e comes into contact with one of the connecting sides 15e at the front and rear positions D and D ′ (see FIG. 4A) by surface contact, or both connecting sides. 15e and 15e are in contact at two points E and E ′ (see FIG. 6), so that the collar 60 does not rotate around the caulking portion and the positional displacement between the bolt insertion hole 61 and the bolt communication hole 15a is ensured. Can be prevented.

In addition, even if the collar 60 is slightly rotated around the caulking portion, there is no problem if the displacement of the bolt insertion hole 61 and the bolt communication hole 15a does not hinder the fastening of the bolt 51 and the nut 52. The two points may be contacted within a range in which the collar 60 does not rotate more than a certain amount without always contacting.

As a result, the collar 60 can be provided on the auxiliary side member 15 in advance, so that it is not necessary to insert and align the collar 60 in the auxiliary side member 15 during connection work, and there is no risk of the collar 60 being lost. . Also, forgetting to add a color can be determined from the outside by the presence or absence of a caulking portion.

In order to attach the auxiliary side member 15 to the suspension member main body 10, first, the end portion of the auxiliary side member 15 to which the collar 60 is temporarily fixed is inserted into the distal end portion of the side member 11 having a substantially inverted U-shaped cross section. Next, the mounting piece 41 of the mounting bracket 40 is brought into contact with the lower surface of the auxiliary side member 15, and the mounting bolts 51 are provided in the mounting piece 41 from below and the bolt communication holes 15 a provided in the auxiliary side member 15. The nut 52 is fastened to the protruding portion of the mounting bolt 51 in a state of passing through the bolt insertion hole 60 a provided in the collar 60 and the through hole 11 d provided in the surface portion 11 a of the side member 11. At this time, since the contact surface 67 of the collar 60 is in contact with the inner surfaces of the two opposite sides 15c and 15d of the auxiliary side member 15, the auxiliary side member 15 is not deformed by the fastening force, and the side member 11 It is firmly held between the surface portion 11a and the mounting piece 41. Then, the fixing bolt 53 is passed through the bracket 19 to which the stabilizer 6 is attached through the elongated hole 42a provided in the fixing piece 42 of the mounting bracket 40, and the nut 54 is screwed into the protruding portion, so that the auxiliary side member 15 is inserted. Are coupled to the suspension member main body 10.

The suspension member 1 configured as described above is fixed to the side frame 2 of the vehicle body with bolts and nuts (not shown) at the front end connecting portion 18, the intermediate connecting portion 17 and the rear end connecting portion 16. The rear end side arm piece 3 a and the front end side arm piece 3 b of the lower arm 3 of the suspension arm are supported by the support portion 21 and the second support portion 22.

According to the suspension member 1, the auxiliary side member 15 is connected to the suspension member main body 10 through the collar 60. Therefore, when an impact force is applied from the front due to a collision or the like, as shown in FIG. The tip side of the side member 15 other than the connecting portion can be buckled and can absorb the impact energy together with the side frame 2.

When the buckling deformation of the auxiliary side member 15 is completed and more impact energy is applied, stress concentration occurs in the fracture inducing portion 20, and the fracture inducing portion 20 breaks through the suspension member 1 having high rigidity. The impact energy is not transmitted directly into the vehicle, but the impact is absorbed by the vehicle body such as the side frame 2.

In the above embodiment, the case where the collar 60 has the two bolt insertion holes 61 has been described. However, the number of the bolt insertion holes 61 may be one. For example, as shown in FIG. 8, a base 69 having a substantially circular cross section having a bolt insertion hole 61, a rotation preventing part 68 </ b> A along the tangential direction of the base 69, and a caulking receiver provided substantially parallel to the bolt insertion hole 61. A collar 60 </ b> A having a through hole 62 that forms a portion can be used. A contact surface 67 capable of contacting the upper and lower sides 15c and 15d of the auxiliary side member 15 is formed on the end surface of the collar 60A. Similarly to the collar 60, the collar 60A thus formed is inserted into the hollow portion 15b of the auxiliary side member 15, and the wall surface of the auxiliary side member 15 where the through hole 62 is located is caulked and deformed to temporarily fix the collar 60A. Then, the auxiliary side member 15 and the side member 11 can be connected using the mounting bolt 51 and the nut 52.

Moreover, although the said embodiment demonstrated the case where the auxiliary side member 15 which is a hollow member was connected to the side member 11 of the suspension member 1 using the attachment bracket 40, the connection structure which concerns on this invention is not necessarily limited to this structure. Is not to be done.

For example, as shown in FIG. 9, the collar 60A is temporarily fixed in advance in the hollow portion 15b of the connecting side end portion of the hollow member 15A made of an aluminum alloy having a substantially rectangular cross section like the auxiliary side member 15, The hollow member 15A abuts against the mounting surface 81 of another member 80 to be fixed, and the bolt communication hole 15a provided in the hollow member 15A, the bolt insertion hole 61 provided in the collar 60A, and the other member 80 The mounting bolt 51 can be inserted into the provided mounting hole 82, and the nut 52 can be fastened to the protruding portion of the mounting bolt 51 to connect the hollow member 15 </ b> A and the other member 80. Although the case where the collar 60A having one bolt insertion hole 61 is used is described here, the hollow member 15A and the other member 80 are replaced by using the collar 60 having two bolt insertion holes 61 instead of the collar 60A. Can also be connected.

In this embodiment, the collar 60A is not chamfered 66 as in the above embodiment, and the width of the collar 60A is slightly smaller than the interval between the connecting sides 15e so as not to contact the connecting side 15e of the hollow member 15A. It is made smaller.

Next, a method of caulking the collar 60 to the auxiliary side member 15 will be described with reference to a schematic exploded perspective view shown in FIG. In FIG. 11, reference numerals 91a and 91b denote positioning pins, which are installed upright on a lower mold (not shown). Reference numeral 92 denotes a punch, which is fixed to a lower surface of an upper mold (not shown) that can be moved up and down, and is caulked by moving downward.

The positioning pin 91a is inclined toward the distal end direction A of the auxiliary side member 15, and the positioning pin 91b is inclined toward the rear end direction B. The positioning pin 91a is movable in the A and B directions, and elastic force is urged in the A direction by elastic means (not shown) such as a spring. Further, the positional relationship between the positioning pins 91a and 91b and the punch 92 is the same positional relationship as the end portion in the A direction of the elongated hole insertion hole 61 of the collar 60, the end portion in the B direction of the bolt insertion hole 61 and the through hole 62. .

In the caulking process, when the collar 60 is inserted into the end of the auxiliary side member 15 and the auxiliary side member 15 is moved onto the positioning pins 91a and 91b, an inclined surface is provided on the upper ends (tips) of the positioning pins 91a and 91b. Therefore, the bolt communication holes 15a and 15a and the bolt insertion holes 61 and 61 are aligned with each other, and the auxiliary side member 15 and the collar 60 are set on the lower mold. When the upper die is lowered in this state, the upper side 15 c of the auxiliary side member 15 is accurately caulked toward the through hole 62 by the punch 92.

In the above embodiment, a rectangular hollow member having a closed cross section is shown as the hollow member or the like. However, as shown in FIG. 10, the two sides 15c and 15d of the semi-hollow member 15B such as a substantially U-shaped cross section are used. It can also be used when this is fixed to another member 80A to be connected. In FIG. 10, the other parts are the same as those in the above embodiment, so the same parts are denoted by the same reference numerals and description thereof is omitted.

In the above-described embodiment, the case where the caulking receiving portion is formed by the through hole 62 has been described. However, the caulking receiving portion may be a recess formed by machining.

Moreover, although the said embodiment demonstrated the case where the connection structure which concerns on this invention was applied to a suspension member, it is applicable also to other structural materials, such as construction and civil engineering.

It is a top view which shows the suspension member to which the connection structure of the hollow member or semi-hollow member which concerns on this invention is applied. It is a side view of the said suspension member. It is a bottom view of the suspension member. It is sectional drawing (b) which follows the II line of sectional drawing (a) and (a) which shows the connection structure of the hollow member which concerns on this invention, or a semi-hollow member. It is a disassembled perspective view which shows the auxiliary side member in this invention, a color | collar, a mounting bolt, and a nut. It is sectional drawing (b) which follows the II-II line | wire of the perspective view (a) and (a) which shows the temporary fix | stop state of the color | collar in this invention. It is a schematic sectional drawing which shows the state which received the impact of the said auxiliary side member. It is a perspective view which shows the modification of the color | collar in this invention. It is sectional drawing (b) which follows the III-III line | wire of the perspective view (a) and (a) which shows 2nd Embodiment of the connection structure of the hollow member which concerns on this invention, or a semi-hollow member. It is sectional drawing which shows the connection structure at the time of forming the auxiliary side member in this invention with a semi-hollow member. It is a general | schematic disassembled perspective view which shows the caulking process of the auxiliary | assistant side member and collar in this invention.
