相互に間隔をおいて配設された一対の側壁と、側壁の各々間に軸受を介して回転自在に支持されかつ中空管から形成された熱ローラと、熱ローラの両端を覆うよう側壁の各々の外側に装着されたカバー部材と、熱ローラの中心部を貫通して延在しかつ両端部が、それぞれ、カバー部材に支持されたヒータ部材とを備えた定着装置において、
片方のカバー部材には、熱ローラの一端部と片方のカバー部材との隙間を閉塞する閉塞部材が配設される、
ことを特徴とする定着装置。
