近年、自動販売機を用いて飲食物等の商品販売が盛んに行われ、顧客は24時間いつでも手軽に希望商品を購入できるようになった。また、自動販売機は、駅の切符販売や食堂の食券販売にも券売機として利用されており、我々の社会生活において自動販売機を使用する機会は、今後さらに増加するものと思われる。

図5は、従来の自動販売機を食券販売機として用いる場合の概略の外観を示す正面図である。この例に示す自動販売機50(食券販売機)は、硬貨投入口51と、商品を選択するための販売コラム(販売メニュー)数に応じた複数の選択ボタン52と、食券を取り出すための物品取り出し口53とを備えている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上述したような従来の自動販売機においては以下に示すような問題点があった。つまり、食券販売機のように販売商品(メニュー)が非常に多い場合にはそれに対応する選択ボタン数も多くなり、その結果、顧客は自分の購入したい商品の選択ボタンがどこにあるのか見つけにくくイライラするとともに、例えば、駅ホームにある食堂の如き特定の時間に顧客が殺到するケースでは、顧客の回転率が悪くなり営業上問題であった。
本発明は、上述した従来の自動販売機に関する問題を解決するためになされたもので、多数の販売商品の中から顧客が購入を希望する商品に係わる選択ボタンを即座に見つけることが可能な自動販売機を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するために、本発明に係わる自動販売機の請求項1記載の発明は、それぞれ表示手段を有し、商品を選択するための複数の選択ボタンと、前記商品をグループ単位により指定するための複数の大分類ボタンとを備え、前記大分類ボタンの選択に応じて該当する商品に係わる情報を前記選択ボタンの表示手段に表示させるように制御する自動販売機であって、前記大分類ボタンの選択に応じて該当する中分類の商品に係わる情報を前記大分類ボタンの表示手段に一旦表示させ、さらに当該中分類からの選択に基づき最終的な商品に係わる情報を前記選択ボタンの表示手段に表示させるようにした。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図示した実施の形態例に基づいて本発明を詳細に説明する。図1は本発明に係わる自動販売機を食券販売機として用いる場合の実施の形態例を示す概略の外観正面図である。この例に示す自動販売機10は、硬貨投入口11と、商品を選択するための販売コラム(販売メニュー)数に応じた複数の選択ボタン12と、食券を取り出すための物品取り出し口13と、前記商品をグループ単位で指定する複数の大分類ボタン14とを備える。

図2は、前記各選択ボタン12および各大分類ボタン14の外観を示す正面図である。この例に示す選択ボタン12および大分類ボタン14は、販売商品の名前、写真、価格等の商品情報を表示するための液晶ディスプレー部(表示手段)21と、商品選択信号を発するスイッチ部22とから構成される。

図3は、本発明に係わる自動販売機の動作を説明するための機能ブロック図である。この図に示すように本発明に係わる自動販売機は、前記各選択ボタン12及び大分類ボタン14がそれぞれ有する液晶ディスプレー部21に所定の商品情報を表示させるとともに、各スイッチ部22からの商品選択信号を処理する制御部31と、前記商品情報を画像データ或いは文字データとして記憶するとともに制御部31にこれらのデータを供給する画像記憶部32と、液晶ディスプレー部21の省電力のため自動販売機周囲の人間を感知しそれを報知信号として制御部31に報知するセンサー33とを備えている。

以下、図1、図2及び図3を用いて本発明に係わる自動販売機の動作例について説明する。まず、自動販売機10の周囲に顧客がいないときは、センサー33が顧客を感知せずに報知信号を出力しないので、制御部31は各液晶ディスプレー部21をOFFとして省電力を図る。

【発明の効果】
本発明は以上説明したようにそれぞれ液晶ディスプレー部を有する大分類ボタンと選択ボタンを備えるとともに、大分類ボタンの選択により選択ボタンが有する液晶ディスプレー部の表示を制御するように構成したので、販売商品数が多い場合でも購入希望商品を即座に指定することが可能な自動販売機を実現する上で著効を奏す。
