Description
パラメータのサンプリングは、多様な実施例において出力電力、負荷抵抗、出力電流、出力電圧またはそれらの関数のサンプリングを含む。
出力は、幾つかの別の実施例においては出力電流、出力電圧または出力電力を変えることによって制御される。別の代替実施例においては最小出力電流が提供される。
サンプリングは、セグメント内部のウィンドウにおいて行われ、このウィンドウは、一実施例においては各セグメントの始まりまたは終わりにまでは延びない。出力は、少なくとも部分的にはウィンドウの外側でCC出力(CC output)になるように制御されることができる。
アーク長は、一実施例においては所望の長さになるように制御される。
出力は、多様な実施例においてパルス式MIG出力、CMT出力、およびAC MIG出力である。
別の実施例においては、コントローラはアーク長コントローラである。

制御が、アーク長に関連した出力電圧フィードバックに基づいているので、本発明は、アーク長一定のプロセスを実行するのに容易に使用される。
制御ループは、サンプルが採取されたセグメントの内部でその与えられたサンプルに応じて出力を変える。これを与えられたセグメントの内部のプロセス制御と呼ぶ。
ゲインモジュール308の出力はPI制御モジュール310に提供され、PI制御モジュール310はPI制御スキームを適用し、出力として(誤差および誤差の積分に比例する値に基づいた)制御信号を提供する。代替実施例は、PI制御スキーム、または他の誤差の関数に基づいた制御スキームを含む。
別の代替実施例は、ユーザがアークの微調整を行うためにアーク長を加減するように(微調整つまみを使って)周波数を変更することができるようにすることを提供する。別の代替実施例では、アーク長を調整する別の方法として、ピークおよびバックグラウンドの電圧を調整し、および(または)高電圧セグメントと低電圧セグメントの相対時間を調整することが可能であり得る。
さらに別の代替実施例は、上記の制御スキームを溶解速度(melt rate)またはアーク長の数学的表現に適用する。

Claims (8)
- 溶接電源を制御する方法であって、
電圧を有する周期的CV出力を提供することと、
各サイクルを少なくとも2つのセグメントに分割することと、
出力パラメータを少なくとも1つの前記セグメントの内部で複数回サンプリングを行うことと、
前記CV出力を、前記少なくとも1つのセグメントの内部で実行された前記サンプリングに応答して前記少なくとも1つのセグメントの内部を対象として制御することと、
前記パラメータを少なくとも第2の前記セグメントの内部で複数回サンプリングを行うことと、
前記少なくとも第2のセグメントの内部で実行された前記サンプリングに応答して前記CV出力を前記少なくとも第2のセグメントの内部を対象として制御することと、
を含む、溶接電源を制御する方法。 - 更に、前記パラメータを各前記セグメントの内部で複数回サンプリングを行うことと、
各前記セグメントの内部で実行された前記サンプリングに応答して前記CV出力を前記セグメントの各々の内部で制御することと、
を含む、請求項1に記載の溶接電源を制御する方法。 - 前記パラメータのサンプリングは出力電力をサンプリングすることを含む、請求項1に記載の溶接電源を制御する方法。
- 前記パラメータのサンプリングは負荷の抵抗をサンプリングすることを含む、請求項1に記載の溶接電源を制御する方法。
- 前記パラメータのサンプリングは出力電圧をサンプリングすることを含む、請求項1に記載の溶接電源を制御する方法。
- 前記サンプリングに応答して制御することは各前記セグメントの内部のウィンドウを対象として実行され、ここで、該ウィンドウは各前記セグメントの始まりと終わりの少なくとも一方にまで延びていない、請求項1に記載の溶接電源を制御する方法。
- 前記CV出力はパルス化された出力である、請求項1に記載の溶接電源を制御する方法。
- 前記CV出力はCMT出力である、請求項1に記載の溶接電源を制御する方法。
