Description

【0001】
【0014】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a toothbrush in which tufts configured by bundling bristles are implanted in each of a plurality of flock holes provided on a flocking table.
[0002]
[Prior art and problems to be solved by the invention]
The toothbrush is formed by implanting and fixing a tuft formed by bundling bristles by a method of driving a flat wire into a plurality of flock holes provided on the flocking table or fusing them with heat. In addition, toothbrushes are desired to have characteristics such as a soft feeling of bristles and good brushing feeling when used, and a high feeling of bristles reaching between teeth.
As a toothbrush having the above-described characteristics, a toothbrush in which the tip (bristle) of a bristle is processed into a taper shape has been proposed (see Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-141923).
[0003]
However, as described in the above publication, the toothbrush with the tip of the bristle processed into a tapered shape is soft and comfortable to brush, and has a high feeling of reaching between the teeth of the bristle. The stiffness is weak and the effect of removing dirt between teeth is not high. Further, in order to process the tip of the bristle into a taper shape, it is necessary to go through a time-consuming process such as mechanical processing such as grinding and chemical processing, which increases the manufacturing cost.
[0004]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a toothbrush that is easy to manufacture because the feel of the bristle is soft, the feeling of polishing is good, the feeling of bristles reaching between the teeth is high, the effect of removing dirt between the teeth is high. is there.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of various studies, the inventors have made the cross-sectional area of the flock hole to plant the tuft below a specific value, and the ratio of the total cross-sectional area of the flock hole to the area of the flock base (tuft flock density). It was found that the above-mentioned purpose can be achieved by setting the value in a specific range.
The present invention has been made based on the above knowledge, and in a toothbrush in which tufts configured by bundling bristles are implanted in each flocked hole in a flocking table provided with a large number of flocked holes, A toothbrush having a flocking hole having a cross-sectional area of 1.2 mm 2 or less and having a tuft flocking density [(total sum of cross-sectional areas of the flocking hole) / (area of the flocking table) × 100] of 25% to 35%. By providing this, the above-mentioned object is achieved.
[0006]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the toothbrush of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the toothbrush 10 according to the present embodiment has each of the flock holes 11, 11... In the flock base 12 provided with a large number of flock holes 11, 11. In the toothbrush in which tufts 14, 14,... Configured by bundling bristles 13, 13,... Are implanted, the flock holes are flock holes having a cross-sectional area of 1.2 mm 2 or less, The flocking density [(total sum of cross-sectional area S of flocked hole 11) / (area T of flocking table) × 100] is 25% to 35%. The degree of dispersion of the flock holes 11 is preferably 30 to 80 per 100 mm 2 .
When the tuft 14 has a flocking density of less than 25%, the distance between the tufts 14 is too far away, which makes the feel unsatisfactory. On the other hand, when the tuft 14 has a flocking density of more than 35%, the over-density increases the comfort. It becomes hard.
[0007]
The toothbrush of this embodiment will be described in further detail. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the flocking table 12 has a total length in the toothbrush longitudinal direction of the flocked part 15 in which the tufts 14 are implanted in the flocking table 12. L is set to 100, the flocking table portion having a length of 30 ± 10 from the tip 15a of the flocking portion 15 is defined as the front portion 17, and the flocking table portion having a length of 30 ± 10 from the rear end 17a of the front portion 17 is intermediate. When the rear part 19 is a rear flocking table portion from the rear end 18a of the intermediate part 18 to the rear part 19, the flocking table of the tuft 14 in the front part 17, the intermediate part 18 and the rear part 19 respectively. The inclination angle φ with respect to the surface 12a is 83 ° to 85 ° (φ1), 85 ° to 87 ° (φ2), and 87 ° to 90 ° (φ3).
The flocked portion 15 refers to a region where the tuft 14 is implanted in the flocking table 12, and the total length (range) L of the flocked portion 15 in the longitudinal direction of the toothbrush is the length between the front end 15a and the rear end 15b shown in FIG. It shows.
[0008]
The cross-sectional area S of the flock hole 11 is an area of the flock hole 11 on the flock base surface 12a. In the present embodiment, the flocking hole 11 is formed in a cylindrical shape from the flocking table surface 12a.
Cross-sectional area S of the flocking holes 11 may if 1.2 mm 2 or less as described above, more preferably is preferably 0.28 mm 2 or more, a 0.50mm 2 ~0.75mm 2 .
[0009]
The bristle 13 constituting each tuft 14 is a filament material made of a synthetic resin such as nylon, and the diameter is preferably 100 to 300 μm, more preferably 150 to 225 μm.
Each tuft 14 is preferably composed of 10 to 45 bristles 13 and more preferably 15 to 30 bristles 13, and each tuft 14 is implanted in each flock hole 11 by a known method such as fusing with heat.
The height H of the bristle 13 from the flocking table surface 12a is preferably 8.5 to 13.0 mm.
The flocking density is 30% to 35% in the front part 17 and 25% to 30% in the intermediate part 18 and the rear part 19, respectively.
[0010]
According to the toothbrush 10 of the present embodiment, the cross-sectional area S of the flock hole 11 in which the tuft 14 is implanted is 12 mm 2 or less, the flock holes 11 are dispersed on the flocking table surface 12a on average, and “tuft flock density” ”Is 25% to 35%, so even if the bristles with the normal thickness (150 to 200 μm) are not tapered, the bristles have a soft touch and polished like a toothbrush with a tapered tip. It is comfortable and has a high sense of reach between the bristle teeth. Furthermore, since there is sufficient stiffness at the tip of the bristle, the effect of removing dirt between teeth is high, and the processing of the tip of the bristle is easy, so that the toothbrush can be easily manufactured.
[0011]
Further, the inclination angle of the tuft 14 with respect to the flocking table surface 12a in each of the front part 17, the intermediate part 18 and the rear part 19 obtained by dividing the flocking table 12 into approximately three is set to specific angles (φ 1 , φ 2 , φ 3 ). By doing so, each tuft 14 is in a state in which the tip portion thereof is appropriately opened, and in particular, the tip of the tuft 14 implanted in the front portion 17 used when brushing between the back teeth is used. It opens appropriately, and the tip of the bristle 13 is more easily reached between the teeth.
[0012]
Although the preferred embodiment of the toothbrush of the present invention has been described above, the toothbrush of the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and can be appropriately changed as described below without departing from the spirit of the present invention. Is possible.
All the tufts 14, 14,... Can be formed vertically with respect to the flocking table surface 12a.
Further, the shape of the tip of the bristle is not particularly limited, and any shape such as a normal round cut, a spherical shape, a tapered shape, or a tip crack shape may be used.
[0013]
In the above embodiment, tufts are implanted by fusion implantation, but the present invention is not limited to this. The height of the bristle from the flocking table surface may be substantially uniform, or a bristle having a low height may be provided partially.
In the above-described embodiment, the flocked hole is formed in a cylindrical shape from the surface of the flocked table, but is not limited to a circular cross section as long as the cross-sectional area is 1.2 mm 2 or less. Various tufts can be used as long as the tuft can be planted in close contact with the flock holes. The bristle may be monofilament or multifilament.
The toothbrush main body (the flocking table 12, the neck portion, and the grip portion) is made of, for example, a synthetic resin such as polypropylene or ABS resin.
[0014]
【Example】
Hereinafter, the effect of the toothbrush of the present invention will be specifically described with reference to Examples and Comparative Examples.
[0015]
Examples 1 and 2
The toothbrush of Example 1 has substantially the same configuration as that of the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, and the cross-sectional area of the flock hole is 0.50 mm 2 (see Table 1 below). The diameter is about 0.8 mm), and some tufts are inclined and planted, and the tip of the bristle is cylindrical. Moreover, the toothbrush of Example 1 has the length of the front part, the intermediate | middle part, and the rear part when the flocking density of the said tuft is 28.4% and the longitudinal direction full length of the flocked part is 100, respectively, 34, the inclination angles of the tufts in the front part, the middle part and the rear part are 83 degrees, 85 degrees and 90 degrees, respectively. As a bristle, a circular nylon bristle having a diameter of 200 μm made by DuPont is used as the bristle. The number of bristles constituting one bundle of tufts is 16, and the height (hair length) of the bristle from the flocking table surface is 11.5 mm.
As shown in [Table 1] below, the toothbrush of Example 2 has the same configuration as that of Example 1 except that all tufts are implanted perpendicularly to the flocking table surface. .
[0016]
[Comparative Examples 1 and 2]
As shown in [Table 1] below, Comparative Example 2 has the same configuration as Example 2 except that the cross-sectional area of the flock hole is 2.0 mm 2 (diameter: about 1.6 mm). Comparative Example 1 has the same configuration as Comparative Example 2 except that the tip of the bristle is processed into a tapered shape.
[0017]
[Table 1]
Figure 0004656768
[0018]
[Test example]
For the toothbrushes of Examples 1 and 2 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2, “soft feel”, “easy entry of bristles between teeth”, “feeling of dirt removal effect between teeth” and “removing plaque between teeth” "Effectiveness" was evaluated.
[0019]
〔Evaluation methods〕
Seven subjects used the toothbrushes of Examples 1 and 2 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 respectively, and evaluated items “soft feel”, “ease of entering between teeth”, and “stain removal effect between teeth”. For each “feel”, “◎” indicates that 6 or more of 7 responded good, “○” indicates that 4 to 5 or more of 7 responded good, and “2” or more of 7 indicate that 2 or more The sensory evaluation was performed in four stages, with “△” indicating that the response was good and “×” indicating that there were 1 or less respondents.
In addition, for the toothbrushes of Examples 1 and 2 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2, the “dental plaque removal effect” was evaluated by the following evaluation method using a model system. As the evaluation results, the relative value was described with the removal effect of Comparative Example 2 as 100.
The evaluation results are shown in [Table 2] below.
[0020]
[Evaluation method of plaque removal effect]
As shown in FIGS. 3 (a) and 3 (b), a large number of cylindrical acrylic rods 51 having a diameter of 5 mm and a length of 50 mm are fixed on the base 50 in parallel with both sides thereof being in close contact with each other. Thus, a model 52 imitating the interdental part was created. Alcohol ink was applied to the surface of the model 52 in a width of 40 mm as a substitute for dental plaque, and each toothbrush 53 of Examples 1 and 2 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 was acrylic by a brushing machine under the following predetermined conditions. Brushing in the direction Y perpendicular to the bar 51 was performed. Residual plaque amount (ink amount) is measured by image analysis to evaluate plaque removal power.
[0021]
The cleaning conditions were a load of 300 g, a number of times of cleaning of 10 times, a speed of 100 rpm (100 reciprocations per minute), an amplitude of 3 cm, and a cleaning angle (see FIG. 3C) of 90 °.
[0022]
The residual plaque amount is measured by measuring the alcohol ink removal rate at a brushing width of 10 mm (for two acrylic bars). That is, the acrylic bar 51, which is a tooth model, was vertically divided into three parts, and the area where the ink was peeled was measured by image analysis, with the central part being the tooth surface and both side parts being the interdental part.
