Description
The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire in which the rigidity of the sidewall portion is optimized. More specifically, the present invention relates to a pneumatic tire that can increase the rigidity in the tire circumferential direction without substantially impairing the bending characteristics in the tire radial direction. Regarding tires.
Conventionally, in a pneumatic tire, in order to receive a high load at the time of braking or cornering, the rigidity of the sidewall portion has been increased by adding a reinforcing layer to the sidewall portion or increasing the size of the bead filler. (For example, refer to Patent Document 1).
An object of the present invention is to provide a pneumatic tire that can increase the rigidity in the tire circumferential direction without substantially impairing the deflection characteristics in the tire radial direction.
In order to achieve the above object, a pneumatic tire according to the present invention has a plurality of belt-shaped tires extending on the inner surface of a sidewall portion extending between a tread portion and a bead portion while being inclined with respect to the tire radial direction. A protrusion is provided , and the width of the protrusion is partially changed .
In the present invention, since a plurality of belt-like projections extending while inclining with respect to the tire radial direction are provided on the inner surface of the sidewall portion, the tire circumferential direction can be reduced without substantially impairing the tire radial deflection characteristics. Directional rigidity can be increased. Therefore, for example, in high-performance tires used for circuit driving, braking performance and driving performance can be improved while ensuring bending characteristics advantageous for steering at low loads and grip recoverability when wheel spin occurs. . As a result, it is possible to provide a high-performance tire in which the performance change at the time of low load and high load is reduced. Moreover, in a general pneumatic tire, braking performance and drive performance can be enhanced while suppressing adverse effects on riding comfort.
In a pneumatic tire in which the rotation direction is specified, desired performance can be emphasized by defining the inclination direction of the protrusion with respect to the rotation direction. In other words, in a pneumatic tire with a specified rotation direction, when the protrusion is inclined in the direction opposite to the rotation direction from the inner end to the outer end in the tire radial direction, the drag particularly during braking is increased. be able to. On the other hand, in a pneumatic tire with a specified rotation direction, when the protrusion is inclined in the same direction as the rotation direction from the inner end to the outer end in the tire radial direction, the traction force during driving is increased. Can do. In addition, regardless of the direction of rotation of the pneumatic tire, when the protrusions are arranged in a grid, both the drag force during braking and the traction force during driving can be increased.
In the present invention, in order to achieve both the tire radial deflection characteristics and the tire circumferential rigidity, the angle of the protrusion with respect to the tire circumferential direction is preferably set to 10 ° to 50 ° at the portion closest to the belt layer. . The width of the protrusions is preferably 2 mm or more and 10 mm or less, the interval between the protrusions is preferably 5 mm or more and 15 mm or less, and the height of the protrusions is preferably 2 mm or more and 8 mm or less. The width of protrusion, and shall partially changed in accordance with the required rigidity.
Hereinafter, the configuration of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 shows a pneumatic tire according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 shows an inner surface of the sidewall portion. This pneumatic tire is a tire whose rotation direction is specified. In FIG. 1, 1 is a tread portion, 2 is a sidewall portion, and 3 is a bead portion. A carcass layer 4 is mounted between the pair of left and right bead portions 3 and 3, and an end portion of the carcass layer 4 is folded around the

In FIG. 2, S is the road surface, F is the traveling direction, and R is the rotational direction. As shown in FIG. 2, the

The width of the
The interval between the

FIG. 4 shows a pneumatic tire according to still another embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 4, in this embodiment, a plurality of belt-

The tire of Conventional Example 1 has a substantially smooth inner surface of the sidewall portion. In the tires of Experimental Examples 1 to 3, a plurality of band-shaped protrusions are provided on the inner surface of the sidewall portion, and the angles with respect to the tire circumferential direction are set to 10 °, 30 °, and 50 °, respectively. The tire of Comparative Example 1 is provided with a plurality of band-shaped protrusions on the inner surface of the sidewall portion, and the angle with respect to the tire circumferential direction is set to 0 °. That is, in Comparative Example 1, the protrusion is formed in an annular shape. The width of the protrusions was 6 mm, the distance between the protrusions was 10 mm, and the height of the protrusions was 5 mm.

The evaluation results are shown as an index with Conventional Example 1 as 100. A larger index value means higher circumferential rigidity.
As shown in Table 1, the tires of Experimental Examples 1 to 3 were excellent in evaluation results of braking performance, grip recoverability when wheel spin occurred, running time, and circumferential rigidity in comparison with Conventional Example 1. . On the other hand, the improvement effect of the tire of Comparative Example 1 was insufficient.

That is, in Experimental Example 11, the protrusions are inclined in the direction opposite to the rotation direction, in Experimental Example 12, the protrusions are inclined in the same direction as the rotation direction, and in Experimental Example 13, the protrusions are arranged in a grid pattern. The tire of Comparative Example 11 is provided with a plurality of belt-like protrusions on the inner surface of the sidewall portion, and the angle with respect to the tire circumferential direction is set to 0 °. That is, in Comparative Example 11, the protrusion is formed in an annular shape.
