足浴具や足浴装置は、浴湯に足を入れ、足の洗浄、血行促進、皮膚治療等を図る目的で使用されている。この足浴具類は、足の裏やふくらはぎを温浴マッサージし、筋肉や神経の緊張をほごし、安眠、心身の安定化等の効果も見られるため、介護を必要とする高齢者、身体障害者、病人等、身体の入浴が困難な者のために特に有益である。
