【0001】
C=a×sin(ωt)+(b×x+c) ・・・(1)
D=−a×cos(ωt)+(−b×x+c) ・・・(2)
となる。
【0008】
a=k×d ・・・(8)
b=k×e ・・・(9)
c=k×f ・・・(10)
TE=(a+k×d)×(sin(ωt)+cos(ωt))・・(11)
TC=(a+k×d)×(sin(ωt)−cos(ωt))・・(12)
LP=2(b+k×e)×x ・・・(13)
a/d≠b/e≠c/f ・・・(14)

[0012]
Here, in an ideal differential push-pull, as shown in FIG. 12, the detection signals C and D generated by the
a = k × d (8)
b = k × e (9)
c = k × f (10)
There is a relationship.
[0013]
Therefore, if this relational expression is substituted into the expressions (5), (6), and (7),
TE = (a + k × d) × (sin (ωt) + cos (ωt)) (11)
TC = (a + k × d) × (sin (ωt) −cos (ωt)) (12)
LP = 2 (b + k × e) × x (13)
Therefore, TE and TC are only AC components, and LP is only an inclination component with respect to the lens shift amount x.
[0014]
Usually, in the TC signal shown in the equation (6) in which the lens shift amount x is not included in the equations (5), (6), and (7), the offset component (2 (c−k) of the TC signal. A method for obtaining the value of k by calculating the value of k at which xf)) is zero is common.

FIG. 13 is a circuit diagram showing a conventional optical pickup module. In FIG. 13, 121 is seven adders, and 122 is two variable gain amplifiers.
[0016]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In an ideal differential push-pull in the above conventional optical pickup module, an offset for all lens shifts is set by setting a value of k that satisfies the relationships shown in equations (8), (9), and (10). Components can be removed. However, the circuit gain difference in the signal generation from the main beam and the sub beam (specifically, the light amount of the sub beam is reduced to a fraction of the main beam so that the sub beam cannot be written, and then the circuit is multiplied several times. As a signal, the gain generated to make the signal generated from the main beam and the signal generated from the sub-beam proportionally equal) and the detector mounting accuracy,
a / d ≠ b / e ≠ c / f (14)
It may become. This is shown in FIG. 14 and FIG. 14 and 15 are graphs showing the offset amount with respect to the lens shift.
[0017]
In the conventional optical pickup module, as shown in Expression (16), the value of k is obtained by calculating the value of k at which the offset component (2 (c−k × f)) of the track cross signal TC is zero. Even if k is obtained by this method, there is a problem that it is not possible to remove the offset component with respect to the lens shift of the tracking error signal TE. Similarly, the AC signal component of the lens position signal LP cannot be removed, and even an offset component for the lens shift generated by the track cross signal TC cannot be removed.
[0018]
In the optical pickup module and the optical disc apparatus, a tracking error signal and a track cross signal that do not generate an offset even when a lens that collects reflected light from the optical disc (reflected light collecting lens) moves, and an AC component is generated. It is required to generate an LP signal that is not superimposed.
[0019]
In order to satisfy this requirement, the present invention can generate a tracking error signal and a track cross signal that do not cause an offset even when the reflected light focusing lens moves, and a lens position signal on which no AC component is superimposed. An object of the present invention is to provide an optical pickup module capable of generating LP and an optical disk apparatus using the same.
[0020]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, an optical pickup module of the present invention includes an optical pickup for reading information from an optical disc, and a detector for converting an optical signal irradiated from the optical pickup and reflected by the optical disc into an electrical signal. YesAndThe detector detects a reflected signal from three spots obtained by condensing the main beam and two sub beams arranged at a position deviated by 1/2 track from the main beam, and is divided into four detection blocks. Four detection signals A, B, C, and D are generated by the main beam, and two detection signals E and F and two detection signals G and H are respectively generated by the two sub beams divided into two detection blocks. The balance data of the main beam push-pull signal (CD) and the sub-beam push-pull signal ((E + G)-(F + H)) is generated as a tracking error signal TE and a track cross signal TC.WhenK1, k2WhenTracking error signal TE and track cross signal TCWhenOffsets ofs1, ofs2WhenTracking error signal TE is set to TE = (C−D) −k1 ((E + G)−(F + H)) + ofs1 and the track cross signal TC is generated by TC = (C + D) −k2 ((E + G) + (F + H)) + ofs2.The detector includes a reflected light condensing lens for condensing the reflected light from the optical disk while changing the balance data k values for the offset amounts generated in the tracking error signal TE and the track cross signal TC, respectively. The inclination of the lens position versus the offset is calculated by moving to the peripheral position, the central position, and the outer peripheral position, and the balance data k value at which each of the inclinations becomes zero is used as the tracking error signal TE and the track cross signal. TC balance data k1 and k2 are determined as offset values for setting the offset amount at the center position to zero as the offset values ofs1 and ofs2 of the tracking error signal TE and the track cross signal TC, respectively.It is characterized by that.
[0021]
This makes it possible to generate tracking error signals and track cross signals that do not cause an offset even when the reflected light focusing lens moves.The

In order to solve the above problems, an optical disc apparatus of the present invention has a configuration including the optical pickup module described above. Thereby, an optical disk apparatus using the optical pickup module can be obtained.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
[0034]
(Embodiment 1)
FIG. 1 is a circuit diagram showing an optical pickup module according to
[0035]
The operation of the optical pickup module of FIG. 1 configured as described above will be described. First, components of the tracking error signal TE, the track cross signal TC, and the lens position signal LP will be described. As shown in FIG. 1, the tracking error signal TE is TE = (C−D) −k1 ((E + G)−(F + H)) + ofs1, the track cross signal TC is generated by TC = (C + D) −k2 ((E + G) + (F + H)) + ofs2, and the lens position signal LP is set to LP = (C−D) + k3 ((( E + G) − (F + H)) + ofs3.
[0036]
Next, a method for determining the balance data k1, k2, k3 and the offset values ofs1, ofs2, ofs3 of the tracking error signal TE, the track cross signal TC, and the lens position signal LP will be described.
[0037]
First, a method for determining the balance data k1 and the offset value ofs1 of the tracking error signal TE will be described with reference to FIG. 2, FIG. 3, and FIG. 2 is a flowchart showing a method for determining the balance data k1 of the tracking error signal TE. FIG. 3 is a flowchart showing a method for determining the offset value ofs1 of the tracking error signal TE. FIG. It is a graph which shows an offset value.
[0038]
Here, when the balance data k1 of the tracking error signal TE is obtained by the circuit shown in FIG. 1, the reflected light collecting lens is moved to the inner circumferential position, the central position, and the outer circumferential position while changing the value of k1, and tracking is performed. The offset amount generated in the error signal TE is measured, the inclination is calculated, the balance data k value at which the inclination becomes zero is used as the balance data k1, and the offset amount at the center position of the reflected light collecting lens is calculated. The offset value for making zero is assumed to be ofs1.
[0039]
First, as shown in FIG. 2, an initial value of k1 is set (S1). Next, the reflected light condensing lens is driven to the outer peripheral position (S2), the PP level of the tracking error signal TE is measured, and the center value of the tracking error signal TE is calculated (S3). That is, the level A value shown in FIG. 4 is calculated.
[0040]
Next, the lens is moved to the center side (S4), similarly, the PP level of the TE signal is measured, and the center value of the TE signal is calculated (S5). That is, the level B value shown in FIG. 4 is calculated. Further, the reflected light collecting lens is driven to the inner peripheral position (S6), similarly, the PP level of TE is measured, and the center value of TE is calculated (S7). That is, the level C value shown in FIG. 4 is calculated.
[0041]
The slope of the straight line passing through level A, level B, and level C is calculated (S8), and it is determined whether or not the slope of the calculation is zero (S9). k1 is incremented or decremented (S10), and the process returns to step S2. If it is determined in step S9 that it is zero, the process proceeds to the process of FIG.
[0042]
Next, in FIG. 3, an initial value of ofs1 is set (S11), the reflected light collecting lens is moved to the center position (S12), the PP level of TE is measured, and the center value of TE is calculated. (S13) The center value is compared with the Vref value which is the reference voltage of TE (S14). If the center value is different from the reference voltage Vref, the ofs1 is changed according to the direction of the difference between the center value and the reference voltage. Is incremented or decremented (S15), and the process proceeds to step S12. If it is determined in step S14 that the center value matches the reference voltage, the process ends.
[0043]
Next, a method for determining the balance data k2 and the offset value ofs2 of the track cross signal TC will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 5 is a flowchart showing a method for determining the balance data k2 of the track cross signal TC, and FIG. 6 is a flowchart showing a method for determining the offset value ofs2 of the track cross signal TC. Here, when the balance data k2 of the track cross signal TC is obtained by the circuit shown in FIG. 1, the reflected light collecting lens is moved to the inner circumferential position, the central position, and the outer circumferential position while changing the balance data k2. The offset amount generated in the track cross signal TC is measured, the inclination is calculated, the balance data k value at which the inclination is zero is used as the balance data k2, and the reflected light collecting lens is measured at the center position. An offset value for setting the offset amount to zero is assumed to be ofs2.
[0044]
First, as shown in FIG. 5, an initial value of k2 is set (S21). Next, the reflected light condensing lens is driven to the outer peripheral position (S22), the PP level of TC is measured, and the center value of TC is calculated (S23). That is, the level A value shown in FIG. 4 is calculated.
[0045]
Next, the reflected light condensing lens is moved to the center position (S24), and similarly, the PP level of TC is measured and the center value of TC is calculated (S25). That is, the level B value shown in FIG. 4 is calculated.
[0046]
Further, the reflected light collecting lens is driven to the inner peripheral position (S26), and similarly, the PP level of TC is measured and the center value of TC is calculated (S27). That is, the level C value shown in FIG. 4 is calculated.
[0047]
The slope of the straight line passing through level A, level B, and level C is calculated (S28), and it is determined whether or not the slope of the calculation is zero (S29). The data k2 is incremented or decremented (S30), and the process returns to step S22. If it is zero in step S29, the process proceeds to the process of FIG.
[0048]
Next, in FIG. 6, the initial value ofs2 is set (S31), the reflected light collecting lens is moved to the center position (S32), the PP level of TC is measured, and the center value of TC is calculated. (S33) The center value is compared with the Vref value as the TC reference voltage (S34). If the center value is different from the reference voltage Vref, ofs2 is set according to the direction of the difference between the center value and the reference voltage. Increment or decrement (S35) and return to step S32. If it is determined in step S34 that the center value matches the reference voltage Vref, the processing in FIG. 6 ends.
[0049]
Next, a method for determining the balance data k3 and the offset value ofs3 of the lens position signal LP will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 7 is a flowchart showing a method for determining the balance data k3 and the offset value ofs3 of the lens position signal LP. Here, when the balance data k3 of the lens position signal LP is obtained by the circuit shown in FIG. 1, the balance data k for matching the amplitudes of the AC components of the signals generated at C and (E + G), D and (F + H). Is used as balance data k3, and an offset value for setting the offset amount at the center position of the reflected light collecting lens to zero is set to ofs3.
[0050]
First, as shown in FIG. 7, the PP level of CD is measured to obtain a measurement value a (S41). Further, the PP level of ((E + G) − (F + H)) is measured to obtain a measured value d (S42). Next, a / d is calculated and set as the balance data k3 value (S43).
[0051]
Next, the initial value ofs3 is set (S44), the reflected light collecting lens is moved to the center position (S45), the PP level of LP is measured, and the center value of LP is calculated (S46). The center value is compared with the Vref value that is the LP reference voltage (S47). If the center value is different from the reference voltage Vref, ofs3 is incremented or decremented depending on the direction of the difference between the center value and the reference voltage. (S48), the process returns to step S45. If it is determined in step S47 that the center value matches the reference voltage Vref, the process in FIG. 7 ends.
[0052]
As described above, according to the present embodiment, the detector uses the balance data of the main beam push-pull signal (CD) and the sub-beam push-pull signal ((E + G)-(F + H)) as the tracking error signal TE. When the tracking cross signal TC and the lens position signal LP are k1, k2, and k3, and the offset for the tracking error signal TE, the track cross signal TC, and the lens position signal LP is ofs1, ofs2, and ofs3, the tracking error signal TE = TE = (C−D) −k1 ((E + G)−(F + H)) + ofs1, and the track cross signal TC is generated by TC = (C + D) −k2 ((E + G) + (F + H)) + ofs2, and the lens position signal LP is LP = (C−D) + k3 ((( E + G) − (F + H)) + ofs3 allows the balance data k1, k2, and k3 for the tracking error signal TE, the track cross signal TC, and the lens position signal LP to be individually set and Since the offsets ofs1, ofs2, and ofs3 can be set individually, it is possible to generate the tracking error signal TE and the track cross signal TC in which no offset occurs even if the reflected light condensing lens moves. It is possible to generate a lens position signal LP with no component superimposed Kill.
[0053]
In addition, the detector moves the reflected light condensing lens that collects the reflected light from the optical disk while changing the value of the balance data k to the inner peripheral position, the central position, and the outer peripheral position, and generates an offset in the tracking error signal TE. By measuring the amount, the inclination of the lens position versus the offset is calculated, the balance data k value at which the inclination becomes zero is determined as the balance data k1 of the tracking error signal TE, and the offset amount at the center position is set to zero. By setting the offset value to be the offset value ofs1 of the tracking error signal TE, it is possible to reliably detect a tracking error signal in which no offset occurs.
[0054]
Further, the detector moves the reflected light condensing lens that collects the reflected light from the optical disk while changing the value of the balance data k to the inner circumferential position, the central position, and the outer circumferential position, and generates an offset in the track cross signal TC. By measuring the amount, the inclination of the lens position versus the offset is calculated, the balance data k value at which the inclination becomes zero is determined as the balance data k2 of the track cross signal TC, and the offset amount at the center position is set to zero. By setting the offset value to be the offset value ofs2 of the track cross signal TC, it is possible to reliably detect the track cross signal in which no offset occurs.
[0055]
Further, the detector determines, as the balance data k3 of the lens position signal LP, the value of the balance data k that matches the amplitudes of the AC components of the detection signal (CD) and the detection signal ((E + G)-(F + H)). A lens position signal that does not generate an offset is obtained by setting an offset value of the lens position signal LP as an offset value ofs3 that makes the offset amount at the center position of the reflected light collecting lens that collects the reflected light from the optical disk zero. It can be detected reliably.
[0056]
Furthermore, if the optical pickup module is provided with the optical pickup module, an optical disc apparatus that exhibits the operational effects of the optical pickup module can be realized.
[0057]
As described above, according to the optical pickup module of the first aspect of the present invention, the optical pickup for retrieving information from the optical disc, and the optical signal irradiated from the optical pickup and reflected by the optical disc are converted into electrical signals. With detector to convert toAndThe detector detects a reflected signal from three spots obtained by condensing the main beam and two sub beams arranged at a position deviated by 1/2 track from the main beam, and is divided into four detection blocks. TC balance data k1 and k2 are determined as offset values for setting the offset amount at the center position to zero as the offset values ofs1 and ofs2 of the tracking error signal TE and the track cross signal TC, respectively.As a result, the balance data k1 and k2 for the tracking error signal TE and the track cross signal TC can be set individually, and the offsets ofs1 and ofs2 can also be set individually. Even if the optical lens is moved, an advantageous effect is obtained that a tracking error signal and a track cross signal that do not cause an offset can be generated.
