本発明は、空気調和機の室外機に係わり、より詳細には、冷房運転時にドレン水により熱交換器を効果的に冷却してスプラッシュ効果を高めることができるようにした構造に関する。

従来の空気調和機の室外機は、例えば図1と、図3(A)および図3(B)とで示すように、ベース1上を、同ベース1上に立設した仕切板2により圧縮機室とドレン水を溜める凹陥部3を備えた熱交換器室とに区画し、前記圧縮機室に圧縮機4を設け、前記熱交換器室の凹陥部3上に、等間隔により平行に並べられた多数のフィン5aと、これに直交する伝熱管5bとで構成され、冷房運転時に前記フィン5aの下部が前記ドレン水に浸される熱交換器5を設け、同熱交換器5に対向する送風ファン7aおよびファンモータ7bからなる送風機7を設け、前記ベース1に、前記送風機7を臨ませる吹出グリル8を備えた外胴9を被着してなり、前記ドレン水により前記熱交換器5が冷却されるようにした所謂スプラッシュ効果によって、同熱交換器5の熱交換効率を向上させるようにした構成であった。

また、前記フィン5aが、例えば図3(B)で示すように、切断部cから切断されて略矩形状に形成されていることから、図3(A)で示す破線の矢印d'のように、前記外胴2に近接する上端部の通気性が悪くなって前記熱交換器5の熱交換効率を劣化させる原因になっていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明においては、上記の問題点に鑑み、冷房運転時にドレン水により熱交換器を効果的に冷却してスプラッシュ効果を高めることができるようにした空気調和機の室外機を提供することを目的とする。

本発明は、上記課題を解決するため、ベース上に立設した仕切板により、圧縮機室と、ドレン水を溜める凹陥部を備えた熱交換器室とに区画し、前記圧縮機室に圧縮機を設ける一方、前記熱交換器室の凹陥部上に、前記ドレン水に侵される熱交換器を設けるとともに、前記熱交換器に対向して送風機を設け、前記ベースに、前記送風機を臨ませる吹出グリルを備えた外胴を被着してなる空気調和機の室外機において、
前記熱交換器は、長手方向の一側の下端部に、同一側より外方に突出する突出部長手方向の一側の上端部に、同一側より内方に切欠する切欠部が連続形成されており、前記突出部と切欠部とが上下において互いに逆向きに連続形成されるように、矩形状の一枚の板材の上端から下端に向けて形成されるL字状の上部切断部と、下端から上端に向けて形成されるL字状の下部切断部と、これ等上部切断部と下部切断部の先端を結ぶ中央切断部とからなる切断部を切断して左右に二枚同時に成形されるフィンを複数並べて構成されている。

前記熱交換器5を構成するフィン5aは、長手方向の一側の下端部に、図2(A)で示すように、一側より外方に突出する突出部aが連続形成されている。この突出部aにより、ドレン水との接触面積が拡大され、放熱効果が促進されることになり、熱交換器の熱交換効率を向上させることができる。

前記熱交換器5を構成するフィン5aは、一枚の板材をプレス加工することにより二枚同時に成形されるものであるが、前記突出部aと切欠部bとが上下において互いに逆向きに連続形成されるように、図2(B)に示すように、矩形状の一枚の板材の上端から下端に向けて形成されるL字状の上部切断部と、下端から上端に向けて形成されるL字状の下部切断部と、これ等上部切断部と下部切断部の先端を結ぶ中央切断部とからなる切断部cを切断して左右に二枚同時に成形されるもので、これらフィン5aを複数並べて前記熱交換器5は構成されており、従来技術のフィンと同等の材料費で製作することが可能となる。
