Description
The present invention relates to a navigation device, a server device, a navigation method, a route transmission method, and a program for guiding a user based on a route.
Conventionally, a navigation device such as a car navigation device that provides route guidance to a vehicle has a function of searching for a route from a departure point to a destination. In such a navigation device, when the current position measured by communication with the GPS (Global Positioning System) is more than a predetermined distance from the route searched and specified at the departure point, the target position is automatically removed from the point. In general, the route to the ground is re-searched (reroute) and the route guidance is continued. In other words, car navigation for a vehicle is controlled to automatically re-search for a route (auto-reroute) because it is dangerous for a user to operate the navigation device while driving the vehicle. .
In addition, there is a technology that imposes restrictions on route search in navigation devices that perform such automatic route re-search. For example, in Patent Document 1, when a vehicle deviates from the route to the destination, it is checked whether or not the route is around the waypoint to the destination. A technique that does not perform automatic re-search is disclosed.
Further,
On the other hand, in recent years, a technique has been proposed in which not only a route search when using a vehicle such as an automobile like a car navigation device but also a route search when using transportation such as walking, a train or a bus. (For example, refer to Patent Document 3).
However, in the portable navigation device, information on the route such as map data necessary for route guidance is stored in a navigation server on the network, and necessary map data is obtained from the navigation server according to the degree of progress of the route guidance. While receiving, route guidance from the departure place to the destination is executed.
Since map data is received from the navigation server device in this way, the amount of received packets due to communication increases according to the travel distance and usage time. Particularly in recent years, there is also a method in which the position information from the GPS is not directly received by the portable navigation device, but the position information from the GPS is transmitted to the navigation server, and the position information calculated by the navigation server is transmitted by the portable navigation device. Therefore, the amount of received packets due to communication with the navigation server is further increased.
By the way, in such a portable navigation device that performs route guidance including routes such as walking, trains, and buses, there is a case where map data and position information are not always required until arrival at the destination. For example, when using a transportation facility such as a train or a bus on the way to the destination, the destination is determined, so map data or the like is not always necessary.
In addition, for example, when a portable navigation device that performs route guidance is left in the car, the route data is received even though there is no need for route guidance, and the amount of received packets increases. End up.

The server
Next, the
The position
The

Next, route guidance processing by a navigation system including the
First, a user of the
The
In the
The user can input an instruction such as “start route guidance” or “confirm route map” from the search result by operating the
Next, route guidance processing executed by the
When route guidance is started using an initial route guidance menu (not shown), first, the
Next, the
Then, the
If it is determined that the destination has not yet been reached (step S306: No), the processing from step S303 is repeated.
During such route guidance processing, the following communication disconnection processing is executed by another task. FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing a procedure of communication disconnection processing.
First, the
If route guidance or current location confirmation is in progress (step S402: Yes), the server
Next, the
As described above, in the
In the present embodiment, the time measuring unit is configured by software as a timer for measuring time, but a hardware timer may be configured as the time measuring unit.
