Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicle body exterior product fixing structure for attaching a vehicle body exterior product (for example, an airflow control member such as an aero member) to an attachment counterpart member on the vehicle body side.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In order to attach a resin aero member (air spoiler body) to the lower part of a resin bumper cover member of a vehicle, a bolt is used as described in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 2-136787 and Japanese Patent Publication No. 5-21779. ing. In these conventional examples, the upper edge portion of the aero member is brought into contact with the lower portion of the bumper cover member, and both are fixed by bolts at a plurality of positions in the width direction of the vehicle body.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An aero member such as an air spoiler is a long resin part extending in the width direction of the vehicle body. For this reason, the upper edge portion of the aero member is likely to undergo so-called undulation deformation due to expansion or contraction caused by a molding error or a temperature change. For this reason, a gap may be formed between the upper edge portion of the aero member and the bumper cover member, and the appearance may deteriorate.
In addition, since the bolt for fixing the aero member and the bumper cover member is located away from the upper edge of the aero member and the rigidity of the upper edge of the aero member is low, the upper edge of the aero member is caused by vibration during traveling. There was a risk of flapping.
[0004]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a fixing structure for a vehicle body exterior product that allows a vehicle body exterior product such as an aero member or the like to be securely attached to a vehicle body side attachment counterpart member such as a bumper cover member.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The structure for fixing a vehicle body exterior product according to the present invention is configured as described in claim 1, and the vehicle body exterior product includes an extended portion extending from the upper edge portion along the mating surface, and the extended configuration. An opposing wall extending along the mounting wall from the vehicle inner end of the portion and providing the screw member; a leg portion connecting the lower end of the opposing wall and the rear surface of the vehicle body exterior product; and the opposing wall A projecting portion that extends in the width direction of the opposing wall along the opposing wall and protrudes in the direction of the mounting wall and is inserted into the positioning hole, and the extending portion and the opposing wall The leg portion and the convex portion are integrally formed to form a closed cross section. When the screw member for fixing the vehicle body exterior product and the mounting counterpart member to each other is tightened, the distance between the opposing wall of the vehicle body exterior product and the mounting wall of the mounting counterpart member becomes narrower, and thus provided on the opposing wall. The upper edge of the vehicle body exterior product is urged toward the mating surface of the mounting counterpart member while the inclined surface of the convex portion is in contact with the opening edge of the positioning hole formed in the mounting wall. For this reason, by tightening the screw member, the vehicle body exterior product and the mounting counterpart member are fixed, and the upper edge portion of the vehicle body exterior product abuts the mating surface of the mounting counterpart member.
[0006]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5.
FIG. 1 shows a part of a synthetic resin front bumper cover member 10 and an aero member 11 mounted on the vehicle body side of a vehicle (in this case, an automobile). The aero member 11 is an example of a vehicle body exterior product as referred to in the present invention, and the bumper cover member 10 is an example of a mounting counterpart member. A one-dot chain line C in FIG. 1 indicates the center of the vehicle body in the width direction. An air intake 12 is formed at the center of the bumper cover member 10.
[0007]
The aero member 11 is fixed to the lower portion of the bumper cover member 10 by screw members 16 at attachment portions 15 provided at a plurality of locations in the longitudinal direction of the bumper cover member 10. The screw member 16 referred to in this specification includes a bolt 17 and a nut 18. Since these attachment portions 15 have substantially the same structure except for the attachment portion 15 'for fixing the end portion 11a of the aero member 11, the following is representative of the attachment portion 15 shown in FIGS. Explained.
[0008]
As shown in FIG. 2, the bumper cover member 10 includes a mating surface 21 that extends toward the vehicle body inner side at the lower edge portion 20, and a mounting wall 22 that extends downward from the vehicle inner side end of the mating surface 21. And a flange portion 23 extending from the lower end of the mounting wall 22 to the vehicle body inward side. The mating surface 21, the mounting wall 22, and the flange portion 23 are integrally formed along the longitudinal direction of the bumper cover member 10 over substantially the entire length of the bumper cover member 10.
[0009]
A positioning hole 25 is formed in the upper portion of the mounting wall 22. A screw insertion hole 26 is formed below the positioning hole 25. The positioning hole 25 and the screw insertion hole 26 respectively penetrate the mounting wall 22 in the thickness direction (substantially horizontal direction). In FIG. 1, the screw insertion hole 26 of the mounting portion 15 located on the center C of the vehicle body is a circular hole because it serves as a positioning reference in the longitudinal direction of the aero member 11 with respect to the bumper cover member 10. The screw insertion hole 26 of the other attachment part 15 is a long hole along the longitudinal direction so as to absorb the displacement in the longitudinal direction between the bumper cover member 10 and the aero member 11 as shown in FIG.
[0010]
On the other hand, the aero member 11 extends from the upper edge portion 11b of the aero member body 30 along the mating surface 21 in the substantially horizontal direction, and from the end of the extending portion 31 on the vehicle inner side. An opposing wall 32 extending downward substantially along the mounting wall 22, a leg 33 connecting the lower end of the opposing wall 32 and the back surface of the aero member main body 30, a rib 34 formed on the back surface of the aero member main body 30, etc. have. By integrally molding the aero member body 30, the extending portion 31, the opposing wall 32 and the leg portion 33, a bag-like closed cross-section portion 35 is formed on the upper edge portion 11 b of the aero member 11.
[0011]
A convex portion 40 that protrudes toward the mounting wall 22 is formed on the upper portion of the facing wall 32. A mounting hole 41 for inserting the bolt 17 is formed below the convex portion 40. The bolt 17 has a shaft portion 45 formed with a thread and a head portion 46 formed at the end of the shaft portion 45, and the shaft portion 45 is inserted into the mounting hole 41.
[0012]
As shown in FIG. 4, a slit 50 communicating with the mounting hole 41 opens on the side surface 51 of the facing wall 32. Therefore, the shaft portion 45 of the bolt 17 can be inserted into the mounting hole 41 from the side surface 51 of the opposing wall 32 through the slit 50. The width W of the slit 50 is slightly narrower than the outer diameter of the shaft portion 45.
[0013]
The head portion 46 of the bolt 17 is inserted into a bag-like closed cross-section portion 35 surrounded by the extending portion 31, the opposing wall 32, and the leg portion 33. Flat portions 56 for preventing rotation are formed on both side surfaces of the head 46 of the bolt 17. The position of the bolt 17 in the axial direction is restricted by the end surface 57 of the head portion 46 inserted into the closed cross-section portion 35 facing the tip of the rib 34.
[0014]
The convex portion 40 has an inclined surface 61 on the lower surface side so as to taper from the base portion toward the tip end 60. When the nut 18 is fastened to the bolt 17, the inclined surface 61 comes into contact with the opening edge 25 a of the positioning hole 25 as the distance S between the facing wall 32 and the mounting wall 22 becomes narrow as shown in FIG. However, the upper edge portion 11 b of the aero member 11 is inclined so as to be biased toward the mating surface 21. A seal member 62 may be provided between the lower edge portion 20 of the bumper cover member 10 and the upper edge portion 11b of the aero member 11.
[0015]
Next, a procedure for fixing the aero member 11 to the bumper cover member 10 will be described.
First, the bolt 17 is attached to the facing wall 32 of the closed section 35 of the aero member 11.
That is, as shown in FIG. 4, the shaft portion 45 of the bolt 17 is inserted into the mounting hole 41 from the side surface 51 of the opposing wall 32 through the slit 50, and the head 46 of the bolt 17 is inserted between the tip of the rib 34 and the opposing wall 32. Store in the gap between them. Since the width W of the slit 50 is slightly narrower than the outer diameter of the shaft portion 45 of the bolt 17, the shaft portion 45 inserted into the mounting hole 41 can be prevented from coming out of the slit 50.
[0016]
After the bolt 17 is attached to the aero member 11, the tip end side of the bolt 17 is inserted into the screw insertion hole 26 of the bumper cover member 10, and the nut 18 is attached to the shaft portion with the washer 65 provided between the attachment wall 22 and the nut 18. 45. Then, by rotating the nut 18 with a tool, the nut 18 is fastened to the bolt 17. When the nut 18 is rotated, the distance S (shown in FIG. 5) between the facing wall 32 of the aero member 11 and the mounting wall 22 of the bumper cover member 10 gradually decreases.
[0017]
When the screw member 16 is tightened, even if a gap G exists between the upper edge portion 11b of the aero member 11 and the lower edge portion 20 of the bumper cover member 10 as shown in FIG. As the position 18 is tightened, the inclined surface 61 of the convex portion 40 comes into contact with the lower opening edge 25a of the positioning hole 25 of the bumper cover member 10, and the upper edge portion of the aero member 11 gradually decreases as the distance S gradually decreases. 11 b is pushed up toward the mating surface 21 of the bumper cover member 10.
[0018]
For this reason, when the fastening of the screw member 16 is completed, the aero member 11 is fixed to the bumper cover member 10, and at the same time, the upper edge portion 11 b of the aero member 11 is in close contact with the lower edge portion 20 of the bumper cover member 10. It becomes a state. Since the attachment portions 15 are provided at a plurality of positions in the longitudinal direction of the aero member 11 at a predetermined pitch, there is no wavy deformation or gap between the bumper cover member 10 and the aero member 11 over the entire length of the aero member 11. The aero member 11 can be attached to the bumper cover member 10 with good appearance.
[0019]
Moreover, since the closed cross-section portion 35 is formed along the upper edge portion 11b of the aero member 11, the rigidity of the upper edge portion 11b can be increased as compared with the case where the closed cross-section portion 35 is not provided. . The upper edge portion 11b of the aero member 11 is fixed to the bumper cover member 10 by bolts 17 provided on the opposing wall 32 of the closed cross-section portion 35 having high rigidity.
[0020]
For these reasons, the upper edge portion 11b of the aero member 11 can be fixed to the lower edge portion 20 of the bumper cover member 10 with sufficient strength without causing a gap, and the upper edge of the aero member 11 is caused by vibration during traveling. The problem that the part 11b flutters can also be avoided.
[0021]
Note that the above-described fixing structure of the present invention can be applied to the case where a vehicle body exterior product other than the aero member is fixed to a mounting counterpart member on the vehicle body side. Further, in carrying out the present invention, the constituent elements of the present invention such as the mating surface and the mounting wall of the mounting partner member, the extended portion of the vehicle body exterior product, the facing wall, or the convex portion are not deviated from the gist of the present invention. Needless to say, various modifications can be made.
[0022]
【The invention's effect】
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the vehicle body exterior product such as the aero member can be fixed to the mounting counterpart member such as the bumper cover member in good appearance, and the appearance is improved. Further, by forming a closed cross-section by the opposing wall provided with the extending portion and the convex portion formed on the vehicle body exterior product and the legs , the rigidity in the vicinity of the upper edge of the vehicle body exterior product can be increased. In addition, since the vehicle body exterior product is fixed to the attachment counterpart member by the screw member provided at this portion, it is possible to prevent problems such as fluttering of the upper edge portion of the vehicle body exterior product due to vibration during traveling.
