Description
Claims (6)
- 加入者ユニットにおいてデータ変調を調節するための方法であって、
送信のために物理層送信機においてデータを受信することであって、受信したデータは上位層のARQメカニズムからデータブロックで受信されることと、
前記受信したデータを、送信のために、パケットにフォーマットすることであって、各パケットが特定のタイプの符号化/データ変調を有することと、
各パケットについて誤り検査シーケンスを付加することと、
前記パケットを送信することと、
前記パケットを、再送のために、前記物理層送信機に組み込まれたバッファメモリに格納することと、
各パケットについて、前記パケットが受信されたことの確認応答の受信のために戻りチャネルをモニタすることと、
再送の回数を運用者によって定義された整数値に制限することと、
前記整数値に達した後に前記バッファをクリアすることと、
パケットに対する確認応答が所定の時間内に受信されない場合、物理層送信機においてもとのまたは選択的に変更したパケットを再送することであって、物理層のARQメカニズムおよび物理層送信機は上位層のARQメカニズムに対して透過的に動作することと、
物理層受信機において受信パケットを受信し、復調することと、
前記物理層受信機における所与のパケットについて肯定応答発生器における対応する肯定応答を送信することであって、前記所与のパケットについて対応する肯定応答を受信するように構成されたメカニズムは前記上位層のARQメカニズムに対して透過的に動作することと、
再送統計を収集することと、
収集した再送統計を用いて各パケットの前記特定の符号化/データ変調を調節することであって、前記収集した再送統計が少ない再送数を示す場合、前記特定の符号化/データ変調として高容量の符号化/データ変調方式を選択し、前記収集した再送統計が多い再送数を示す場合、前記特定の符号化/データ変調として低容量の符号化/データ変調方式を選択すること、
再送されたもとのまたは選択的に変更したパケットを前記送信されたパケットと合成することと
を備えることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記特定のタイプの符号化/データ変調は、前方誤り訂正(FEC)であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記パケットは、直交周波数分割多元接続(OFDMA)エアインタフェースを用いて送信され、前記FEC符号化/データ変調の調節は、OFDMAセット内のサブチャネルを選択的に無効化することに加えて実行されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記パケットは、シングルキャリア周波数領域等化(SC−FDE)エアインタフェースを用いて送信されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記パケットは、符号分割多元接続(CDMA)エアインタフェースを用いて送信されるとき、前記戻りチャネルは、高速フィードバックチャネルであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 否定応答の受信に応答して、パケットを、許容不能な誤り率を有すると識別すること
をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
