Description
In the present invention, spot welding, in particular, an overlapping portion of an object to be welded is pressed and sandwiched by a pair of electrodes, current is passed between the pair of electrodes, and heat is generated and melted by the resistance of the workpiece itself and the contact resistance of the overlapping portion The present invention relates to a technique for judging the quality of a welded portion (nugget) of resistance spot welding for welding an object to be welded.
Conventionally, a portion (overlapping portion) overlapping a plurality of metal plates is pressed and sandwiched between a pair of electrodes, a current is passed between the pair of electrodes, and the resistance of the metal plate itself and the contact resistance of the overlapping portion The technique of resistance spot welding in which heat is generated and melted to be welded is known.
The quality of the welded portion of such resistance spot welding (the size of the welded portion, etc.) is one of the important factors that determine the strength of the welded portion.
However, since the welded part of resistance spot welding is usually in a position that cannot be seen from the outside, it is difficult to determine the quality of the welded part by visually observing the welded part in a non-destructive manner.
Therefore, conventionally, the quality of the welded portion has been determined based on the resistance value between the electrodes during welding. For example, it is as described in Patent Document 1 and
The quality determination method for spot welding described in
However, the spot welding quality determination methods described in Patent Document 1 and
The resistance value between the electrodes during spot welding is the material of the work piece, the thickness, the number of overlaps, the state of alignment of the work pieces, fluctuations in the pressure applied by the electrodes, contamination of the work piece surface, electrode surface It includes disturbance elements such as contamination of the electrode and changes in the shape of the tip of the electrode. For this reason, it is difficult to determine the quality of the welded portion only by the absolute value of the resistance value or the peak arrival time, and the accuracy of the determination is reduced. Therefore, the frequency of determining a defective product as a non-defective product or determining a non-defective product as a defective product increases.
In view of the above situation, the present invention provides a spot welding quality determination method and a spot welder capable of accurately determining the quality of a welded portion of spot welding.

Below, the Example of the quality determination method of the spot welding of this invention is described using FIGS. 1-9.
The method for determining the quality of spot welding according to the present invention is not limited to the present embodiment, and an overlapped portion of an object to be welded is pressed and clamped by a pair of electrodes, and a current is passed between the pair of electrodes to be welded. Can be widely applied to so-called resistance spot welding.

In the following description, the Pearson product moment correlation coefficient is used as the correlation coefficient. The Pearson product moment correlation coefficient in this embodiment is expressed by the following (Equation 1).
Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient = (covariance of resistance value rank according to reference rank pattern and resistance value rank rank according to rank pattern) / {(standard deviation of resistance rank rank according to reference rank pattern) × (rank Standard deviation of the order of resistance values related to the pattern)} (Equation 1)
6 is an overlay of an example of the ranking pattern in the present application shown in FIG. 4 and an example of the reference ranking pattern in the present application shown in FIG. And the correlation coefficient R in FIG. 6 is 0.89.
The correlation coefficient R is a value of −1 ≦ R ≦ 1, and generally there is almost no correlation when 0 ≦ (absolute value of R) ≦ 0.2, and 0.2 ≦ (absolute value of R ) ≦ 0.4, there is a slight correlation, 0.4 ≦ (absolute value of R) ≦ 0.7, there is a considerable correlation, and 0.7 ≦ (absolute value of R) ≦ 1, strong. There is a correlation.
In this example, the setting value of the correlation function is set to 0.8, and when the correlation coefficient R is 0.8 or more, it is determined that the quality of spot welding is good, and the correlation coefficient R is less than 0.8. In this case, it is determined that the quality of spot welding is poor. Therefore, the

On the other hand, FIG. 7 is another example of the resistance value between the
FIG. 8 is a ranking pattern created based on FIG. 7, and FIG. 9 is an overlay of FIG. 8 and FIG.
The correlation coefficient R between the ranking pattern created based on FIG. 7 and the reference ranking pattern shown in FIG. 5 is 0.52, as shown in FIG. It is determined that the quality of spot welding related to is poor.
