The display operation unit A3 is configured by arranging a liquid crystal touch panel (touch key unit) 6, a numeric keypad (key operation unit) 7 and the like on a flat casing 5, and the upper side of the display operation unit A3 is outside the front surface part 1b. It is pivotally supported at the top so that it can be tilted.
The liquid crystal touch panel (touch key portion) 6 has a form in which a touch panel is laminated on the upper surface of the liquid crystal display, and a portion displayed on the screen can be selected by touching the screen, and data input ( Product setting etc.) and display.
The numeric keypad (key operation unit) 7 is composed of a product number key, numeric key, clear key, re-zero key, etc. When a product is selected by the product number key and the numeric key, the product name and price set for the selected product number Are displayed on the liquid crystal touch panel (touch key unit) 6. When the store clerk selects the product number, the product data of the product number is displayed on the liquid crystal touch panel (touch key unit) 6 and the display unit A3.

The display unit A4 can employ a transparent display, for example, a transparent EL display.
In this transparent EL display, an AC pulse voltage is applied to two transparent electrodes sandwiched between two transparent glass plates, so that a light emitting layer sandwiched between the transparent electrodes emits light. That is, the light emission is displayed by energization between the transparent electrodes, and when it is not energized, it becomes transparent.
The light emitting layer can emit blue, green, yellow, and red light with an organic compound, but is not limited to an organic compound and may be an inorganic compound. (For the transparent EL display, see, for example, JP-A-10-125464).

The characters, numbers, and the like displayed on the transparent EL display A4 having the above-described configuration are configured so that their orientations can be changed by setting.
In other words, the display of the transparent EL display A4 displays characters and numbers on a transparent glass plate. When the display of the display A4 is presented to the customer (front side), the direction of the characters and numbers Is displayed in the direction facing the customer, and when characters, numbers, etc. displayed from the store clerk side (back side) are viewed, the characters are viewed from the back side, and the characters appear to be reversed. Therefore, when it is desired to look at these characters from the store clerk in a normal direction, for example, when setting product data, or comparing with data displayed on the liquid crystal touch panel (touch key unit) 6 of the display operation unit A3. In some cases, the direction of display characters can be changed by a predetermined key operation.
In particular, when the weighing device is in a setting mode for setting product data or the like, the direction of characters, numbers, etc. displayed on the display unit (transparent EL display) A4 automatically faces the store clerk. Is displayed. Thereby, the setting work of product data etc. can be performed smoothly. The display unit A4 is not limited to the transparent EL display described above, but may be a transparent liquid crystal.

The transparent EL display constituting the display unit A4 is supported above the weighing unit A1 by the support column 2 with respect to the weighing device.
The support column 2 is formed of a transparent member, for example, a rectangular flat plate made of an acrylic plate or a glass plate, and the support column 2 is fixed in the width direction of the mounting box 8 fixed to the side opposite to the side where the display operation unit A3 of the measuring device is disposed. The frame 9 is mounted between the frame bodies 9 and 9 'standing upright from both sides, and the support frame 10 of the transparent EL display constituting the display unit A4 is connected and fixed to the upper ends of the frame bodies 9 and 9'. ing. Accordingly, the support column 2 is surrounded by the mounting box 8, the frame bodies 9 and 9 ′, and the support frame 10.

The support 2 made of a transparent member is provided with translucent advertisement information 11 that does not obstruct the see-through, and an irradiation means 12 for irradiating the advertisement information 11 with colored light rays is disposed below the support 2 and colored. The translucent advertisement information 11 is colored and lifted by irradiation of light.
The translucent advertisement information 11 is formed on the support column 2 by three-dimensional laser processing (laser engraving) at the middle position (inside) in the thickness direction of the acrylic plate as shown in FIGS. Desired advertisement information 11 is engraved three-dimensionally. In this case, the advertisement information 11 includes fixed information such as a store logo mark, a store name (company name), and the like. And by irradiating colored light from the irradiation means 12 (LED) arrange | positioned under the support | pillar 2, the said translucent advertisement information 11 will be colored and it will stand out conspicuously. Regarding three-dimensional laser processing (laser engraving), refer to Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2003-61810.

The formation of the translucent advertisement information 11 is not limited to the above-described three-dimensional laser processing (laser engraving), and can be performed by the following method.
(1) Desired advertisement information 11 is formed on one side of the acrylic plate by silk printing. And, as described above, when colored light is irradiated from the irradiation means 12 arranged below the support column 2, the light is irregularly reflected at the location of the silk-printed advertisement information 11, and when viewed from the side not silk-printed, The colored advertisement information 11 is displayed (see FIG. 4B).
(2) Desired advertisement information 11 is formed on one side of the acrylic plate by etching. Etching is a chemical corrosion technique that can be made into frosted ice or frosted, and corrodes the necessary parts with a mixture of hydrogen fluoride and sulfuric acid to carve out patterns (Fig. 4 (b)) reference).
(3) Desired advertisement information 11 is formed by sandblasting on one side of the transparent member (glass plate). Sandblasting is a process in which sand is blown with compressed air on a necessary portion of the surface of a glass plate. The glass surface is finely roughened with fine particles and becomes matt (see FIG. 4B).

The attachment position of the irradiation means 12 is not limited to the lower end side of the illustrated support column 2, and may be either the upper end side of the support column 2 or the left and right end sides. The irradiation means 12 arranged on the outer peripheral edge of the support column 2 is accommodated and held in the mounting box 8 or the frame bodies 9 and 9 'surrounding the periphery of the support column 2 or the support frame 10 so as not to be exposed to the outside. It is configured.

In addition, the support column 2 and the frame bodies 9 and 9 ′ are not limited to the form shown in FIG. For example, a configuration in which the support column 2 is formed in a rectangular shape similar to the configuration shown in FIG. 2 and the outer shape of the frame bodies 9 and 9 ′ surrounding the left and right side edges is formed on a curved surface (see FIG. 5A), The left and right side edges of the frame 2 are formed in a concave curved surface, and the frame bodies 9 and 9 'surrounding the left and right side edges are curved in the same shape (see FIG. 5B). Any form such as a form (see FIG. 5C) in which the frame bodies 9 and 9 'surrounding the right and left side edges are formed to have the width substantially the same as the horizontal width is matched.
Furthermore, the frame bodies 9 and 9 'surrounding the left and right side edges of the support column 2 may be made of an opaque material such as a metal material, but the frame bodies 9 and 9' may be formed of a transparent member, for example, a resin transparent frame. In this case, since the support column and the frame body are also transparent, the see-through portion is not divided by the frame body portion, and the visibility can be further improved.

FIG. 6 is an electric block diagram of the above-described face-to-face weighing device. The CPU 13 for controlling each block has a ROM 15, a RAM 16, a transparent EL display control unit 17, an operation control unit 18, a load cell control unit 19, and a print control via a bus 14. The unit 20 and the LED control unit 21 are connected.
The CPU 13 controls each part of the apparatus by performing processing using the work area of the RAM 16 according to the control program of the ROM 15. It also functions as a detection means. That is, when a signal output by operating the liquid crystal touch panel (touch key unit) 6 or the numeric keypad (key operation unit) 7 of the display operation unit A3 connected to the CPU 13 via the operation control unit 18 is detected, The irradiation of the irradiation unit 12 (LED) is stopped via the control unit 21. Further, if a signal from the numeric keypad (key operation unit) 7 or the display operation unit 6 is not detected for a predetermined time by a preset time and a clock function, irradiation of the irradiation unit 12 (LED) is started again. In addition, the kind of color of LED which comprises the irradiation means 12 can be selected arbitrarily.
The ROM 15 stores a predetermined control program executed by the CPU 13.
The RAM 16 has a plurality of storage areas, and temporarily stores data read from each file.
The transparent EL display of the display unit A4 is connected to the CPU 13 via the transparent EL display control unit 17, and displays the product name and price of the purchased product to the customer in face-to-face sales, and does not use a weighing unit (balance). At times, for example, a commercial message such as special sale information “Today's bargain product” may be scrolled to appeal to customers.
The load cell 3 of the weighing unit A1 is connected to the CPU 13 via the load cell control unit 19.
The printing unit A2 is connected to the CPU 13 via the printing control unit 20.

In the face-to-face weighing device configured as described above, since the support column 2 that supports the display unit A4 that displays the measurement content by the weighing unit A1 is made of a transparent member, Each face can be confirmed through the transparent column 2 and the customer can confirm the weighing operation of the product W placed on the weighing unit A1 through the column 2. Therefore, it is possible to eliminate the conventional inconvenience that the space between each other is blocked by the support and that the face must be moved to a position away from the support 2 in order to confirm each other's face or weighing operation. That is, face-to-face communication can be enhanced.
And the translucent advertisement information 11 is given to the said transparent support | pillar 2, When the colored light is irradiated to the advertisement information 11 by an irradiation means, the said advertisement information 11 will be colored and displayed conspicuously.
In addition, when the transparent column 2 is configured by a transparent EL display as in the display unit A4, variable information can be displayed. For example, a display including the product name and price of a special sale product, Producer information on a specific product (today's beef is domestically produced and produced by XX ranch) can be displayed.

The above-described embodiment has been carried out with respect to a weighing device having a printing unit. However, the present invention does not have a printing unit and may simply display the weight and price on the display unit. Further, the support frame 10 for connecting the transparent EL display to the support column 2 is not limited to a metal frame, and may be a transparent resin frame. In that case, the frame may be configured to surround the entire four sides of the display. It becomes possible to achieve a face-to-face communication with a sense of openness that does not feel the presence of the display unit because there is no obstruction.
