本発明は、揚水、排水、送水等(以下、単に「送水等」という。)の作業開始時の呼び水の供給を容易にした液体ポンプに関する。

送水等の作業時に使用する液体ポンプPは、例えば、図4に示されているように、該本体1の一側面適位置に吸水口2が設けられ、該吸水口2に適宜な長さを有する吸込ホース3が連結され、該吸込ホース3の先端部3aにストレーナ4が取り付けられている。

前記本体1内部の図示しないポンプに呼び水を供給せずに運転を開始した場合には、内部に設けられたポンプの軸封装置等が異常に発熱摩耗させられる等、故障の原因となる。

本発明は、前記事情に鑑みてなされたもので、送水等の作業に先立って前記本体1内部のポンプへの呼び水の供給を手数を要さず簡単確実に行うことができる液体ポンプを提供することを目的とする。

【問題を解決するための手段】
前記課題を解決するため、本発明は、ポンプの吸水口に連結された吸込ホースの先端部に、先端側が拡開された呼び水すくい部を設けた構成としたものであり、好ましくは、前記先端側が拡開された呼び水すくい部が、筒状カバーとされ、さらには先端側が拡開された半円形筒状カバーに構成したものである。さらに好ましくは、前記先端側が拡開された呼び水すくい部が吸込ホースの先端部に対して着脱自在に構成したものである。

本発明に係る液体ポンプPは、図1に示されているように、該本体1の吸水口に連結された吸込ホース3の先端部3aに、樋状で、先端側が拡開された呼び水すくい部11が設けられる。すなわち、前記先端部が拡開された呼び水すくい部11は、必要とする量の呼び水を一回あるいは数回ですくうことができるように樋状に構成され、集水を容易とするためその先端側が拡開されている。
