電子写真式の画像形成装置においては、感光体ドラム上に形成したトナー像を転写ユニットによって転写紙上に転写した後で、定着装置によってトナー像を転写紙上に定着している。

図1は本発明の一実施形態に係る画像形成装置の要部構成を示す図であり、画像形成装置の外装カバーに設けたドアを開放した状態を示している。
