材を、他の用途を有した一部品としても兼用可能な構成
とすることにより、保管管理の必要と、紛失の虞をなく
して、有効利用を図るようにした画像形成装置を提供す
ることができる。即ち、請求項1の発明は、転写ユニッ
トの転写ユニット圧接解除部材を収納する収納部を、画
像形成装置本体の開閉可能なドアの内側に設けておくこ
とで、圧接解除部材の紛失をなくすことができ、画像形
成装置本体を再度移動する等の輸送時及び梱包時の感光
体ドラム保護を確実に行うことができる。請求項2の発
明は、転写ユニット圧接解除部材を、開閉可能なドアの
内側に収納した際、画像形成装置の主電源インターロッ
クスイッチ爪の役割を果たす形状とすることにより、画
像形成装置本体の梱包を開けた後、転写ユニット圧接解
除部材を抜き忘れて主電源スイッチオンしたとしても、
主電源スイッチが入らないようにすることにより、より
安全に、そして感光体ドラム保護を確実に行うことがで
きる。請求項3の発明は、転写ユニット圧接解除部材の
形状を、外装カバーを開けた状態で、画像形成装置の主
電源インターロックスイッチをオンできる形状にし、サ
ービス技術者が画像形成装置本体をメンテナンスする際
に、転写ユニット圧接解除部材をドアより取り外し、画
像形成装置本体の主電源インターロックスイッチ部に差
し込み、主電源を入れた状態にて、画像形成装置本体の
動作確認及びメンテナンスが、外装カバーを開けた状態
にて行うことが可能となり、動作確認及びメンテナンス
を容易にすることができる。
