Claims (12)
- 移動局との通信のための基地局、基地局暦、及び基地局と移動局との間で伝送される信号から移動局の位置を測定するための位置決定要素を有する無線通信網において、基地局暦中の基地局場所情報を維持する方法であって、
(a)移動局の位置が移動局の通信範囲における基地局の位置から独立した位置決定要素によって決定されるとき、基地局と移動局の間で伝送される信号から基地局と移動局との間の距離を決定すること、及び
(b)基地局暦中の基地局場所情報が誤っているか、不正確であることを基地局と移動局との間の距離が示すとき、基地局に関する訂正された基地局場所情報を含めるため基地局暦を修正することを含む方法。 - 移動局が基地局暦にはない基地局から基地局信号を受信するとき、基地局の位置は移動局の通信範囲内の基地局の位置から独立した位置決定要素によって決定される、請求項1記載の方法。
- 複数の移動局の位置及び基地局と複数の移動局との間で伝送される信号から基地局の位置を決定すること、及び基地局暦中に基地局の決定された位置を記憶することによって基地局暦を修正することを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- (a)移動局との通信のための基地局、及び
(b)基地局と移動局との間で伝送される信号、及び基地局暦に記憶された情報に基づいて移動局の位置を決定するための少なくとも一つの位置決定要素を具備し、
無線通信網は、移動局の位置から、及び基地局と移動局との間で伝送される信号から基地局の位置を決定し、及び基地局暦中に基地局場所情報を維持するため基地局の決定された位置を使用するようにプログラムされる無線通信網。 - 移動局が基地局から信号を受信し、且つその基地局が基地局暦にないことが見出されたとき、基地局の位置が決定される、請求項4記載の無線通信網。
- 基地局暦中の基地局場所情報が基地局に関する誤った位置を示していることを基地局の決定された位置が示すとき、基地局暦が基地局の決定された位置によって更新される、請求項4記載の無線通信網。
- 移動局は全地球測位システム衛星受信器を有し、位置決定要素は全地球測位システム衛星から移動局によって受信された信号から移動局の位置を決定する、請求項4記載の無線通信網。
- 位置決定要素は既知の位置を有する基地局から各移動局の高性能順方向回線三辺測量(AFLT)によって移動局の位置を決定する、請求項4記載の無線通信網。
- 位置決定要素は基地局と移動局との間の距離を決定するため基地局と移動局との間で伝送される信号の経路遅延を測定し、移動局の位置及び基地局と移動局との間の距離から基地局の位置を決定する、請求項4記載の無線通信網。
- 位置決定要素は移動局の位置から、及び基地局と移動局との間で伝送される信号から基地局送信器における時間バイアスを計算する、請求項4記載の無線通信網。
- 位置決定要素は移動局の平均標高以上の平均アンテナ高さとして基地局のアンテナ高さを推定する、請求項4記載の無線通信網。
- 位置決定要素は基地局の推定位置における標高に関する地形標高データベースの照合によって得られた標高以上の平均アンテナ高さとしての基地局のアンテナ高さを推定する、請求項4記載の無線通信網。
