Claims (22)
- 都市型交通手段のためのエンジンユニットであって;
A:圧縮気体が供給され、各2ストローク毎に、パワーストローク及び排気ストロークを完了するシリンダ(5)とピストン(6)を有する膨張室(9)を備えるエンジン(3)と、
B:エンジン(3)と流体的に連通している液化気体タンク(28)と、
C:液体燃料タンク(39)と、
D:圧縮気体を得るために液化気体タンク(28)とエンジン(3)との間に設けられ、液化気体を気化する気化手段(M)(M’)であって、液化気体タンク(28)と流体的に連通していて、液体ガスのガス化を開始する熱交換器(33)を備えている気化手段(M)(M’)と、
E:ハウジング(21)であって、
ハウジング(21)内には、気化室(22)が形成されていて、気化室(22)は、液体燃料タンク(39)と熱交換器(33)の両方に流体的に連通していて前記液体燃料と圧縮気体の酸素とを燃焼するようになっていて、
F:さらに、気化室(22)は、ポート(23)を介して膨張室(9)と流体的に連通していて、圧縮された液化気体、燃焼処理による気体状生成物及び副生成物を含む全ての気体混合物を膨張室(9)内を通過させて、必要な動作のために用いるようになっていて、

I:気化室(22)が第1気化室(26)と第2気化室(27)に分割されていて、飽和蒸気及び過熱蒸気下で液体燃料を酸素で燃焼するようになっていて、前記第1気化室(26)及び第2気化室(27)が、それぞれパイロット点火器を備えている、都市型交通手段のためのエンジンユニット。 - 前記吸気弁(12)を開放するための所定時間(AB)は、ピストンのパワーストロークの端において、気体混合物がおおむね大気圧及び大気温度となるように設定したことを特徴とする、請求項1記載のエンジンユニット。
- 前記膨張室(9)は、排気弁(13)を具備していること、及び制御手段は、シリンダに、周囲環境に排気されるべき使用済み気体がないように前記排気弁(13)を開放し、且つ、シリンダ内の圧力を増加させて、圧力値が気化室(22)の圧力と等しくなるまで前記排気弁(13)を閉鎖するために配設されていることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載のエンジンユニット。
- 液化気体は液体空気であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のエンジンユニット。
- 液化気体は酸素量が少ない空気であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のエンジンユニット。
- 気化手段(M’)は、液体燃料の燃焼のための気化室(22)と流体的に連結された液体酸素タンク(128)を備えていることを特徴とする、請求項5記載のエンジンユニット。
- 液体燃料は、液体水素であることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のエンジンユニット。
- 気化手段(M)は、液化気体タンク(28)と気化室(22)との間にポンプ(31)を備えていることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のエンジンユニット。
- 液体燃料タンク(39)と気化室(22)との間にポンプ(42)(56)を備えていることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のエンジンユニット。
- 液体酸素タンク(128)と気化室(22)との間にポンプ(131)を備えていることを特徴とする、請求項6記載のエンジンユニット。
- ポンプ(31)(42)(56)(131)は、エンジン(3)の速度を制御する可変容量型ポンプであることを特徴とする、請求項8〜10のいずれか1つに記載のエンジンユニット。
- 液体燃料タンク(39)と気化室(22)との間に、液体燃料を気化させる熱交換器(44)(58)を備えていることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のエンジンユニット。
- 気化室を、液体酸素タンク(128)及び液体燃料タンク(39)と流体的に連結された第1気化室(222)(322)と、液化気体タンク(28)と流体的に連結された第2気化室(227)(326)とに分割し、第1気化室(222)(322)及び第2気化室(227)(326)は、酸素と燃料とで発生された燃焼熱を熱交換する状態となっていることを特徴とする、請求項1または4記載のエンジンユニット。
- 第1気化室(222)及び第2気化室(227)を、熱交換室(226)を介して流体的に連結してあることを特徴とする、請求項13記載のエンジンユニット。
- 第2気化室(326)を、第1気化室(322)内に直接設けたことを特徴とする、請求項13記載のエンジンユニット。
- 各2ストローク毎に、パワーストローク及び排気ストロークを完了するシリンダ(5)とピストン(6)を有する膨張室(9)を備えた都市型交通手段のためのエエンジン(3)に圧縮気体を供給する方法であって;
液化気体を気化して圧縮気体を製造する気化工程を含み、
気化工程が周囲大気から熱を抽出する熱交換器(33)によって実行され、さらに、
気化工程がハウジング(21)内で実行され、
気化室(22)が形成されていて、液体燃料と気体中に含有される酸素を燃焼させることにより、気体の気化を行う同じ閉鎖領域で燃焼を実行し、
圧縮された液化気体及び燃焼処理による気体状生成物を含む全ての気体状混合物をエンジン(3)に供給し、
圧縮された液化気体及び燃焼処理による気体状生成物を、気化室(22)のポート(23)を介して吸気マニホールド(16)を通過させ、吸気マニホールド(16)から、吸気弁(12)を介して気化室(9)内に流入させ、
吸気弁(12)を所定時間(AB)開放してピストン(6)を一定圧力で押し、且つ、前記吸気弁(12)を所定時間(BC)閉鎖してピストン(6)を気体の膨張により押すことにより、ピストン(6)の作動ストロークを実行し、
さらに、液化気体の気化工程を含み、液化気体の気化工程は、酸素と燃料の燃焼を行う別の気化領域で行い、燃焼熱は気化領域へ伝達され、燃焼はパイロット点火器の存在下に行われることを含む、各2ストローク毎に、パワーストローク及び排気ストロークを完了するシリンダ(5)とピストン(6)を有する膨張室(9)を備えた都市型交通手段のためのエエンジン(3)に圧縮気体を供給する方法。 - ピストン(6)の排気ストロークは、排気弁(13)を開放してシリンダ(5)内の使用済み気体を周囲環境へ排気し、排気弁(13)を閉鎖して圧力値を気化室(22)の圧力と等しくすることにより行うことを特徴とする、請求項16記載の方法。
- 液化気体は液体空気または酸素の量が少ない液体空気であり、液体空気の酸素をもって燃焼させることを特徴とする、請求項16記載の方法。
- 液化気体は液体窒素であり、液化気体に対して自動的に供給された酸素をもって燃焼することを特徴とする、請求項16記載の方法。
- 液体燃料は、液体水素であることを特徴とする、請求項16記載の方法。
- 液体燃料を所定の量とし、10〜30気圧の範囲の所定圧の圧縮気体を得ることを特徴とする、請求項16記載の方法。
- 熱交換器(44)(58)内で、液体燃料を気化させるステップを含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項16記載の方法。
