そこで、近年、地域自然生態系の保全を目的に現地の種子による緑化が望まれている。埋土種子による緑化も現地種子緑化の一方法である。この埋土種子とは、表土の中に含まれる種子のことで、その上に存在する草木や樹木の種子、周囲から飛んできた種子が堆積したものである。この埋土種子を用いて緑化した場合、地域生態系を保全できるとともに、多様で早期の樹林化が可能となる。

しかしながら、現在、表土の回収は人力によるため、多くの手間とコストを必要としていた。人力の場合は、スコップで表層土をほぐし、土嚢等に土壌を採取し、人力で運搬し搬送車等に回収しなければならず、特に斜面での採取、運搬は重労働であり、作業効率も悪かった。

そのために本発明の表層土の回収システムは、表層土をほぐし吸引ホースに吸引する表土ほぐし装置と、吸引ホースに接続されたサイクロン式土壌回収部と、該土壌回収部に接続された吸引装置を備えると共に、表土ほぐし装置は、動力源により駆動される幅広スタッド付タイヤと、補助タイヤと、表土をほぐす刃と、吸引ホースを支持する支持部材とを備え、幅広スタッド付タイヤを駆動して表土ほぐし装置を走行させながら刃により表層土の上層を撹拌してほぐし吸引ホースに吸引すようにしたことを特徴とする。

本発明は、概略、表土ほぐし装置1と、サイクロン式土壌回収部2と、吸引装置(ブロワー)3からなり、それぞれ吸引ホース4、5により接続されている。表土ほぐし装置1は、エンジン等の動力源により駆動される幅広スタッド付タイヤ6と、補助タイヤ7と、表土をほぐす刃8と、吸引ホース4を支持する支持部材9とを備えている。
