BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a bumper beam structure that is disposed on the back surface of a bumper skin, is horizontally mounted and fixed to an end portion of a vehicle body frame, and is suitable for mounting a fog lamp.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As this kind of bumper beam, which is disposed on the back surface of the bumper skin and is laid across and fixed to the end of the vehicle body frame, a rectangular box type as disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 5-85286, which is the first conventional technique. A box with an intermediate shaft for deformation control in the cross section, and a straight back plate facing each other in the same way as a U-shaped straight main beam, and bonded and fixed by spot welding etc. There exists what was comprised in the cross section of the shape, for example, what was disclosed by Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 3-42453 which is a second conventional example. In this example, the bumper beam configured by opposing the main beam and the back plate extends to the corner portion. That is, it was arranged over the full width of the vehicle body.
[0003]
However, these bumper beams can effectively absorb the impact at the time of collision from the traveling direction of the vehicle due to the box shape of the cross section, but the bumper beam extends to the corner, that is, to the full width of the vehicle body. Therefore, the storage space for fog lamps arranged near the both ends of the bumper is usually limited.
For this reason, resin corner members are attached to both ends of a bumper reinforcement corresponding to a bumper beam, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 1-59762, which is a third conventional example, and fog lights are attached to the corner members. The one that formed the exterior parts storage chamber such as was also proposed.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in such a conventional bumper beam, except for the second conventional example, in the first and third conventional examples, when an impact at the time of collision from the traveling direction of the vehicle acts. As the front and rear surfaces of the bumper beam are crushed, the upper and lower surfaces are deformed in a convex shape upward and downward, respectively, but their bending points are arbitrary, and the deformation of the bumper beam is not stable. For this reason, the shock absorption characteristics are unbalanced, which hinders the shock absorption design.
Moreover, in the third conventional example, the deformation of the bumper beam directly hits the resin corner members at both ends, and the exterior parts such as fog lamps housed in the corner members can be sufficiently protected. There wasn't.
Further, in the second conventional example, the bumper beam has a box-like shape in which a linear back plate is opposed to and joined by spot welding or the like in the same manner as a linear main beam having a U-shaped cross section. Due to the cross-sectional configuration, when an impact is applied, it is bent in the vertical direction at the spot joint between the main beam and the back plate having a relatively low strength, so that a relatively stable shock absorbing characteristic can be obtained. The arrangement of fog lamps and the like was restricted by the presence of the bumper beam arranged over the full width.
[0005]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to solve the above-described problems of the conventional bumper beam, and to provide a bumper beam having stable shock absorption characteristics by enabling the placement and protection of exterior parts such as large fog lamps. And

[Means for Solving the Problems]
Therefore the present invention is a laterally placed to be fixed bumper beam structure to the end of the arranged to the vehicle body frame on the rear surface of the bumper skin, said bumper beam, a center of which is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body side vehicle width direction The bumper comprises a main beam having a shape that protrudes outward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, and a substantially straight back plate that is fixed to the main beam and disposed on the vehicle body center side. A fog lamp storage bracket that projects outside the vehicle body frame is disposed at both ends of the beam, and a stay is disposed at the vehicle body longitudinal end of the vehicle body frame, and the bumper beam and the fog lamp storage bracket are disposed on the stay. It is characterized by being fixed . In the present invention, the fixing portion between the main beam and the upper wall portion and the lower wall portion of the U-shaped back plate is disposed on a line substantially perpendicular to the vehicle body longitudinal deformation line of the bumper beam. It is a feature. The present invention, the stay of the flat, substantially hat-shaped cross section in the vehicle longitudinal direction end portions of the front SL vehicle body frame is fixed through a bracket stay, interposed the bracket upper in Bimuroa and the fog lamp housing bracket to the stay Then, the bumper beam is fixed, and a bracket lower in the fog lamp housing bracket is fixed to a lower portion of the stay. The present invention is to place a top portion of the body frame and the upper surface portion of the bracket stay the front planar portion in substantially the same plane in the bracket upper, a bottom portion of the bracket stay and the bottom surface portion of the Bimuroa it is characterized in that it has placed a bottom surface portion of the body frame in substantially the same plane. The invention is also fixed the disposed above the bumper beam at both ends of the vehicle width direction of the upper frame bumper epidermis Ru fixed to the upper surface, the front planar portion of the front end the bracket upper of the upper frame is, in which the rear end portion of the upper frame, characterized in that it is fixed to the rear end portion of the bracket upper is for a means for these issues resolved.

[0015]
【The invention's effect】
Above As discussed with have in detail, the present invention is a laterally placed to be fixed bumper beam structure is disposed on the rear surface to the end portion of the body frame of the bumper skin, the bumper beam, arranged in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body side A main beam having a central portion in the vehicle body width direction protruding outward in the vehicle front-rear direction, and a substantially straight back plate with a U-shaped cross section fixed to the main beam and disposed on the vehicle center direction side A fog lamp storage bracket that projects to the outside of the vehicle body frame at both ends of the bumper beam, and a stay is disposed at the vehicle body longitudinal end of the vehicle body frame, and the bumper is attached to the stay. by fixing the said fog lamp housing bracket and the beam, at the time of collision, since the convex portion of the central portion of the main beam strikes the first obstacle, before Impact of the main beam that deforms under impact from the direction performs better shock absorption efficiency and fast load startup with show strong strength by passing on to the tension of the back plate direction, both end portions of the main beam Thus, it is possible to effectively protect the exterior parts disposed on the housing. In addition, fog lamp storage brackets that extend outside the vehicle body frame are disposed at both ends of the bumper beam, so that even relatively large exterior parts such as fog lamps can be easily disposed and stored in the dedicated storage bracket. In addition, in the event of a collision, the convex part at the center of the main beam in the width direction of the main beam collides with an obstacle first, so that the fog lamp storage brackets located slightly behind both ends of the main beam Stored exterior parts such as fog lamps are less susceptible to impact and are effectively protected. In addition, the fog lamp storage bracket is reinforced by stays backed up by the body frame, and the exterior parts such as fog lamps are reliably protected by the synergistic effect with the powerful strength by the transfer of the back plate in the pulling direction described above. The
[0016]
Further, the main beam and the fixed portion of the upper wall portion and the lower wall portion of the U-shaped back plate are arranged on a line substantially perpendicular to the vehicle body longitudinal deformation line of the bumper beam. Since the main beam and the back plate can be reliably deformed and absorb shocks by using the upper and lower fixed portions arranged at the bending points, the design can be facilitated by stabilizing the shock absorption characteristics. .
[0017]
Furthermore, the vehicle body the stay of flat, substantially hat-shaped cross section in the longitudinal direction end portion of the body frame is fixed via a bracket stay, the bumper and interposed the bracket upper in Bimuroa and the fog lamp housing bracket to the stay By fixing the beam and fixing the bracket lower in the fog lamp storage bracket to the lower part of the stay, the fog lamp storage bracket is reinforced by a stay or the like backed up to the body frame, and the back plate is passed in the pulling direction. The exterior parts such as fog lamps are surely protected by the synergistic effect with the strong proof stress.
[0018]
Further, with arranging the top portions in a substantially same plane in the vehicle body frame and the upper surface portion of the bracket stay the front planar portion of the bracket upper, the vehicle body frame and the bottom portion of the bracket stay and the bottom surface portion of the Bimuroa By arranging the bottom surface portion of the bumper in substantially the same plane, the load when the bumper beam is deformed due to the impact from the traveling direction is reliably transmitted to the vehicle body frame via the bracket upper, the beam lower and the bracket stay. Therefore, it becomes possible to further effectively protect exterior parts such as fog lamps by minimizing the deformation stroke of the bumper beam.
[0019]
Furthermore, the bumper beam is disposed above of the bumper skin is in the opposite end portions of the vehicle body width direction of the upper frame that will be fixed to the top surface, a front end portion of the upper frame is fixed to the front planar portion of the bracket upper, by the rear end of the upper frame is fixed to the rear end portion of the bracket upper, because the deformation is restrained bracket upper in fog housing bracket is strongly reinforced by both end portions of the upper frame, fog lamps, etc. The exterior parts are further effectively protected.
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a bumper beam having a stable shock absorbing characteristic by enabling the disposition and protection of an exterior part such as a large fog lamp.
