【発明の属する技術分野】
この発明は、高気密・高断熱住宅等で使用される空調ダクト装置において、特に、効率よく発生させた負イオンを空気搬送路に供給することにより、空調ダクト内で微生物が増殖することを防止することができる空調ダクト装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
近年、省エネルギーの追求により、高気密・高断熱住宅が増加傾向にあり、当該高気密・高断熱住宅に使用する空調ダクト装置の需要が増えてきている。空調ダクト装置において、空気搬送路であるダクト内での微生物の増殖が問題になっているので、ダクト内で微生物が増殖するのを防止することが重要である。

従来の空調ダクト装置において、関連する内容が記載されている文献としては、例えば特表平8−510040号公報がある。図25は前記公報に示された従来の空調ダクト装置を示す構成図である。図25において、101は空気搬送路であるダクト、102はダクト101内を矢印の方向に流れる空気流、103は流量センサ、104は針状の空気イオン化電極の集合体、105は殺菌剤噴霧器の集合体、106はオゾンセンサ、107は各装置を電気的に接続する電線、108は空気イオン化電極の集合体104に高電圧を供給する高電圧電源を有する制御装置、109は殺菌剤を殺菌剤噴霧器の集合体105に導出する管、110は殺菌剤を吸い上げるポンプ、111は水に溶解した殺菌剤が蓄えられるリザーバ、112は接地電極である。

次に動作について説明する。
流量センサ103は、空気流102の流量が、もし与えられた閾値以下になった場合に、ポンプ110の動作を停止し、さらに必要であれば空気イオン化電極の集合体104への電圧供給も停止するために設けられている。また、空気流102の流速に応じてポンプ110を動作させるようにすることもできる。オゾンセンサ106は、オゾン量が閾値を超えた場合に、空気イオン化電極の集合体104の電圧を下げるようにするために設けられている。

空気をイオン化することにより、特に負イオンを生じさせることにより、空気流102に存在する微生物、ウィルス等を全滅させることができる。このイオン化の非常に重要な効果は、殺菌剤噴霧器の集合体105から噴射された殺菌剤の粒子に電荷を与えられることであり、接地電極112により接地されたダクト101の壁部に向けて噴射され、殺菌剤の粒子は壁部に沈殿する。そこで、カビや藻類等も壁部に沈殿していれば、それらの成長は殺菌剤との長時間におよぶ接触により危険のない程度にまで抑制される。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来の空調ダクト装置は以上のように構成されているので、殺菌剤等の薬剤を使用するため、住宅やビルなどの人間が居住する空間で使用すると、健康に障害を与えたり、或いは不快感を与えるなどの課題があった。

また、従来の空調ダクト装置は、ダクトの内面にむらなく殺菌剤を散布することは困難であるので、微生物やウィルス、或いはカビや藻類等を完全に除去することができないという課題があった。

この発明は上記のような課題を解決するためになされたもので、殺菌剤を使用することなくダクト内で微生物が増殖することを防止することができるので、住宅やビルなどの人間が居住する空間で問題なく使用することができる空調ダクト装置を得ることを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この発明に係る空調ダクト装置は、空気を吸気すると共に前記空気に含まれる塵や埃を除去した後に空気を空気搬送路に送風する送風手段と、高電圧電源と高電圧印加電極と高電圧印加電極と対向するように風上側に設置された接地電極とを有し送風手段が送風した空気に負イオンを供給する負イオン発生手段とを備え、空気搬送路は、負イオン発生手段により発生した負イオンが流れると共に、内面が絶縁体で構成され、かつ、空気搬送路の風下側末端に空気搬送路の内面に沿った形状で導電性のリングを設け、リングを接地したものである。

この発明に係る空調ダクト装置は、空気を吸気すると共に空気に含まれる塵や埃を除去した後に空気を空気搬送路に送風する送風手段と、高電圧電源と高電圧印加電極と高電圧印加電極と対向するように風上側に設置された接地電極とを有し送風手段が送風した空気に負イオンを供給する負イオン発生手段とを備え、空気搬送路は、負イオン発生手段により発生した負イオンが流れると共に、内面が絶縁体で構成され、かつ、空気搬送路の風下側末端に導電性のメッシュを設け、メッシュを接地したものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、この発明の実施の一形態を説明する。
実施の形態1.
図1はこの発明の実施の形態1による空調ダクト装置を示す構成図である。図1において、1は全体が絶縁体で形成されており人間が居住する空間に空気を排気する図示されない排気口を備える空気搬送路、2は空気搬送路1の内部における風向きを表す空気流、3は空気搬送路1に接続している送風ユニットである。送風ユニット3において、4は一方を空気搬送路1に接続され他方に外気(空気)を吸気するための吸気口を備える送風ユニット3の空気搬送路、5は外気を空気搬送路4に吸入する際に外気に含まれる塵や埃を除去するために吸気口に付設されたフィルタ、6はフィルタ5を介して外気を吸気すると共に吸気した外気を空気搬送路4及び空気搬送路1に送風するために吸気口付近に設置された送風機である。なお、空気搬送路4,フィルタ5及び送風機6とで送風手段を構成する。

また、図1において、7は送風機6の風下側に設置され送風機6が送風した空気の温度を調節する熱交換機、8は熱交換機7とパイプ9で接続され空気の温度を設定する温度調節機、9は熱交換機7と温度調節機8とを接続するパイプである。なお、温度調節機8は空気搬送路4の外部に設置される。熱交換機7,温度調節機8及びパイプ9で温度調節手段が構成される。

さらに、図1において、10は空気搬送路4の内部に設置され空気流2の方向に沿って両端が開口している中空の筐体、11は筐体10の内部における風上側に設置され負イオンを発生させるために高電圧を印加する線状の高電圧印加電極(高電圧印加電極)、12は筐体10の内部における風下側に線状の高電圧印加電極11と対向するように設置される金網状の接地電極(接地電極)、13は空気搬送路4の内部において筐体10を任意の場所に固定する支持台、14は線状の高電圧印加電極11と電気的に接続し線状の高電圧印加電極11に高電圧を印加する高電圧供給電源、15は金網状の接地電極12と電気的に接続しているアースである。なお、筐体10,線状の高電圧印加電極11,金網状の接地電極12,支持台13,高電圧供給電源14及びアース15で負イオン発生器(負イオン発生手段)が概略構成される。さらに、負イオン発生器,空気搬送路4,フィルタ5,送風機6,熱交換機7,温度調節機8,パイプ9によって送風ユニット3が概略構成されており、空気搬送路1に接続されている。

次に動作について説明する。
送風機6が回転を始めると、空気搬送路4の吸気口に付設されたフィルタ5を介して外気を吸気する。この際に、フィルタ5は外気に含まれる塵や埃を除去するので、塵や埃を含まない空気流2を空気搬送路4に送風することができる。送風機6によって送風される塵や埃を含まない空気流2は、熱交換機7と当該熱交換機7にパイプ9を介して接続された温度調節機8とによって温度が調節される。温度調節機8の設定によって、空気搬送路4及び空気搬送路1に送風される空気流2を冷房や暖房に適した温度に調節することができる。

温度が調節された空気流2の一部は、負イオン発生器の筐体10の内部(通気路)に送風される。この際に、負イオン発生器は高電圧供給電源14によって線状の高電圧印加電極11に高電圧が印加されており、この高電圧によってコロナ放電が生じている。負イオン発生器の筐体10の内部では、コロナ放電に伴って負イオンが発生し、空気搬送路1に負イオンを含んだ空気流2を送風している。一方、温度が調節された空気流2の一部であり、負イオン発生器の筐体10の外部に送風された空気流2は、負イオンを含むことなく空気搬送路1に送風される。すなわち、負イオンを含んだ空気流2と、負イオンを含まない空気流2とが負イオン発生器の風下側で合流していることになる。

また、空気流2はフィルタ5によって外気に含まれる塵や埃が除去されているが、フィルタ5によって除去することができなかった浮遊微生物(細菌やカビ胞子など)が空気流2に含まれていると、浮遊微生物(浮遊物)に負イオンが衝突することによって、浮遊微生物が負極性に帯電する。同様に、負イオン発生器から送風された負イオンが、絶縁体で形成されている空気搬送路1の内壁面に衝突することによって、空気搬送路1の内壁面全体を負極性に帯電させることができる。この際に、負イオン発生器の設置位置を空気搬送路1の入り口近傍に設けることによって、空気搬送路1の内壁面全体を負極性に帯電させることが容易になる。

上述したように、空気搬送路1は絶縁体で構成されており、負イオンによって供給された負極性電荷は逃げることができないので、空気搬送路1の内壁面は負極性に帯電する。このような状態になると、負極性に帯電した浮遊微生物と、同じく負極性に帯電した空気搬送路1の内壁面とが同じ極性になるので、浮遊微生物が空気搬送路1の内壁面に付着することを防止するように、浮遊微生物と空気搬送路1の内壁面との間でクーロン斥力が働く。すなわち、浮遊微生物はクーロン斥力によって空気搬送路1の内壁面に付着せずに空気搬送路1が備える図示されない排気口から空気流2と共に排気される。

次に空気搬送路1の材質について説明する。
絶縁体は、絶縁体の表面における電子の分布状態によって、正極性に帯電し易い材質や負極性に帯電し易い材質が存在することが知られている。図2は代表的な材質の帯電列を示す特性図である。図2において、横軸の左側から正極性に帯電し易い材質を示し、横軸の右側は負極性に帯電し易い材質を示している。図2から明らかなように、ガラスは正極性に帯電し易く、塩化ビニールは負極性に帯電し易いことがわかる。

図3は空気搬送路1における空気搬送路の長さと空気搬送路1の内壁面における表面電位との関係を示す特性図である。図3において、実線は材質がガラスウールで形成された空気搬送路1の内壁面における表面電位を示しており、破線は材質がポリエチレンで形成された空気搬送路1の内壁面における表面電位を示している。図3から明らかなように、図2に示された帯電列より正極性に帯電し易いと考えられたガラスウールが、負極性に帯電できることを示しているので、絶縁体であればほとんどの材質が、クーロン斥力によって浮遊微生物の付着を防止することができると考えられる。

次に負イオン発生器及び負イオン濃度について説明する。
図4は負イオン発生器の内部を通過する空気流の流速と負イオン発生量との関係を示す特性図である。図4から明らかなように、負イオン発生器の内部を通過する空気流の流速と単位時間あたりの負イオン発生量との関係は、空気流の流速の増加に伴い負イオン発生量も増加することがわかる。すなわち、空気流の流速の増加に伴い、空気搬送路1の内壁面における表面電位が増加するので、クーロン斥力も増大させることができる。

空気搬送路1の内部において、空気流の流速が最も速い場所に負イオン発生器を設置することによって、負イオン発生器の内部を通過する空気流の流速を増加させることができるので、効率良く負イオンを発生させることができる。図5は空気搬送路1の内部における到達負イオン濃度の測定結果を示す説明図である。図において、到達負イオン濃度は負イオン発生器から50cm離れた地点に到達した負イオン濃度を示しており、風速の速い場所は負イオン発生器を空気搬送路1の長手方向に直交する通気路断面の中央部に設置した場合であり、風速の遅い所は負イオン発生器を空気搬送路1の内壁面付近に設置した場合を示している。図5から明らかなように、風速の速い場所である空気搬送路1の中央部では、到達負イオン濃度が大きくなっているので、負イオン発生器を空気搬送路1の中央部に設置することによって、効率良く負イオンを発生させることができる。すなわち、負イオン発生器を空気搬送路1の中央部に設置することによって、空気搬送路1の内壁面における表面電位が増加するので、クーロン斥力も増大させることができる。

また、図1に示されたこの発明の実施の形態1による空調ダクト装置を示す構成図のように、負イオン発生器の内部における通気路断面積となる筐体10の断面積よりも空気搬送路1の通気路断面積を大きくする構造にすることによって、負イオンを含んだ空気流2と負イオンを含まない空気流2とが負イオン発生器の風下側で合流するようになるので、負イオンが自己消滅することを防ぎ、負イオン発生器が生成した負イオンを有効に利用することができる。

負イオン発生器が生成した負イオンは、電荷を帯びた粒子であるので、ある容積中に存在する量が多くなるとクーロン斥力(電荷の2乗に比例し、距離の2乗に反比例する力)が働き、負イオンはお互いに反発する力を受ける。クーロン斥力によって、負イオンは拡散するので、空気搬送路1の内壁面に衝突して消滅する。容積中に存在する負イオン量、つまり負イオン濃度が増大すると、各粒子間の距離が短くなるので、クーロン斥力はより大きくなる。したがって、負イオン濃度が高くなると、空気搬送路1の内壁面に衝突して消滅する負イオンが増大する。一方、負イオンを含んだ空気流2と負イオンを含まない空気流2とが負イオン発生器の風下側で合流した場合は、合流した時点で急激に負イオン濃度は低下するので、クーロン斥力も小さくなり、空気搬送路1の内壁面に衝突して消滅する負イオンが減少する。すなわち、負イオンを含んだ空気流2と負イオンを含まない空気流2とが負イオン発生器の風下側で合流した場合は、空気搬送路1の内壁面に衝突して消滅する負イオンが減少するので、負イオン発生器が生成した負イオンを有効に利用することができる。

以上のように、この実施の形態1によれば、空気搬送路1に流れ込む空気流2に浮遊微生物が含まれている場合でも、空気搬送路1の内壁面と浮遊微生物とが負極性に帯電し、空気搬送路1の内壁面に浮遊微生物が付着することを防止するので、浮遊微生物が空気搬送路1に付着して増殖することにより空気搬送路1に流れ込む空気流2を微生物汚染することがなく、外気と同じように自然に近い居住環境を提供できる空調ダクト装置を得ることができるという効果を奏する。

実施の形態1と異なる動作について説明する。負イオン発生器は高電圧供給電源14によって針状の高電圧印加電極22に高電圧が印加されており、この高電圧によってコロナ放電が生じている。負イオン発生器の筐体10の内部では、コロナ放電に伴って負イオンが発生し、空気搬送路1に負イオンを含んだ空気流2を送風している。また、実施の形態1に示された線状の高電圧印加電極11はバネを用いて筐体10に固定するのに対して、針状の高電圧印加電極22は、直接筐体10に固定するので、部品点数が減るためメンテナンスが容易になる。さらに、実施の形態1に示された線状の高電圧印加電極11は金網状の接地電極12と一定距離を保って並行に置く組立作業は労力を要するのに対して、針状の高電圧印加電極22は、筐体10に固定するだけなので、組立作業が容易である。また、実施の形態4の動作において、上述した部分以外の動作は実施の形態1と同一であるのでその説明を省略する。
